Our 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series came to us like many of our cars do. Dirty, filthy and in need of some TLC. Before we could even begin to do any mechanical work on the Land Cruiser we had to properly clean her.
One of the dirtiest areas on our Land Cruiser was the seat belts! How this happens we can’t imagine. Kat figured out a sure fire way to restore our seriously disgusting seat belts, to almost brand new!

Brilliant job, I had to do exactly the same to my LC90 when I bought it because the previous owner had it for 15 years must've smoked himself to death in the car. Seatbelts were dirty and stunk of cigarette smoke. I followed the exact procedure you did and they came up like new. After they dried properly I sprayed the belts with a furniture polish so they'd slide in and out on their own easily. Great job.

Thank you, we will try the furniture polish trick! That would be awesome if they slide a little better. Cleaning them definitely made a big difference and made the cabin smell much better.

There is an even easier way...did it on my 100. unbolt the bottom of the seatbelt pull out the seat belt until you cant pull anymore. then you shut the door on it and pressure wash it while holding the metal end (so it doesnt flap and screw up your paint). its about 30 seconds a belt just do both sides.
