What do you guys think? This is a tough decision here the 4Runner is made in Japan and I don’t think it’s had one recall or problem in a long time ! Now far is my 2023 Trd, pro Toyota Tacoma in solar octane. This is the last Trd pro V6 in the special hero color. I really love my truck a lot I haven’t had one single issue with it at all. Let me know what you guys think. As a guy who’s looking in to getting a new car later this year, would you say that mechanically the 2024 or 2025 4Runner is better? What about either of those compared to similar cars by Honda, GMC, or Ford? Not a “car guy” myself, I just love to drive. Thank you.

@@JJRfromNYC search for the car care nut YT channel and search for should you buy the current 4Runner or wait for the new one. Something along those lines. You are much better getting the current 2024 one or older one. It will last forever. You never want to buy the first year of anything. I wouldn’t buy the 2025 4Runner.

@@JJRfromNYC I have 170k on my 2011 GMC sierra. Bought it new and never had an issue. Probably your best luck will come from Toyota and Honda. Minus the new turbo Toyotas for tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner. Who knows how that will turn out

@@JJRfromNYC 2024 is the way to go! It will last forever. Unbeatable reliability, cheap to maintain. 2025 will be a crapshoot. Just look at the new tundra. General rule is to never buy a first year production model. I would at least wait till the 3rd year of production. Gives them time to iron out the problems.

I agree, my 2012 tacoma is black and looks great cleaned up, almost menacing with the hood scoop and everything else blacked out, but it will show everything as far as swirl marks are concerned 😩😩😩

Congrats! Don’t get it waxed with the power buffer. Will show all swirl marks. Just ceramic coat it. Swirls in the clear no bueno.

I just traded my 23 Tacoma for a 24 4Runner. So much more room and comfort, very happy with the upgrade. I bought it because it’s the last v6. I now own a 17 and 24 Runner.

I did the same thing in January. It drives and rides much better than the Tacoma. I do miss the utility of having a pickup, but I wouldn't go back.

The black one is sick asf. Good choice man if you're really are getting it but you've been known to bs us about trading in lol. I have both a sick 3rd gen tacoma and the new 4RUNNER. I'd take the 4RUNNER any day way better overall. Power seems better shifts nice. 4RUNNERs are awesome. NVM just finished the video doesn't sound like you know what you're doing so its a click bait video haha🤦‍♂️

I had a 2022 TRD off road Tacoma in lunar rock Now I drive a 40th anniversary 4Runner and I never look back my son will be taking over our 4Runner once he starts to drive it will always stay in the family

Nice I really like the anniversary edition it’s perfect ! I really want one, but I just love my truck and the Tacoma is how I started the channel and my 23 pro is pretty special to me. It will take a lot for me to give it up and it will probably be another Tacoma Lol but I would love to have a 4Runner some day lord willing I believe it’s the best SUV on the market. Nope not this one not one single recall that I’m aware of with this vehicle I know someone recently had a propane tank in the back of their 4Runner and decided to smoke a cigarette and kaboom but the driver survived. Way to go, I like the black one Kenny! That 4Runner will be more comfortable inside, the rear seat has more leg room than the Tacoma. Plus, if you need to haul stuff, you can put the rear seats down and you almost have a small truck bed with a topper.

The Underground color is nice but to me - it belongs on a Navy base with Government lettering and unit numbers on the doors! It’s Terra for me with Black as number 2. Whenever you see a Terra on the 5th gen, you will always know it’s a 2024 Pro and will be one of the rarer 5th gen’s on the road.

I’m not trading it but I just really the 4Runner and i would have really considered it if it was in underground! I would go with the black but that's just me. That's exciting man, congrats when it becomes official. I have a 2020 TRD Off Road premium in midnight black. For the truck only and nothing else, cost me $41,000. But... this was April 2020.

just bought the same exact truck. traded my 23 TRD PRO Runner in on it. Wanted the last year of the V6's...the last of the dinosaurs. it will still be worth $45-$50K in 10 years lol. congrats! (FYI..get it ceramic coated at a good shop. makes all the difference especially with the midnight black metallic paint.)

Kenny your a smart man. This is the last REAL Yota. I'd get the white for sure. What makes this so special is you got the old school running gear that will last forever and you still have all the updated tech. IMO as we get closer to the end of production on this generation that dealers will start adding ADM's on them. Don't get any of the newer trail hunter TNGA crappy trucks. Don't do it. Just buy the white 4 runner. In this case the "newer stuff" is NOT better. Not even remotely so. Trust me.

Yeah, I could probably never ever get another black vehicle unless I just drove it in the summer. I had a black car in the Pacific Northwest just destroyed it Lol or I just look bad all the time it rains too much here in Oregon you basically have to be a professional detailer to keep your truck looking clean all the time. I think would be great choice for you trade in the Tacoma pro for 4Runner pro as you have a family as there’s limited space in the Tacoma cant really fit 4 people comfortably in the Tacoma there both the same to body to frame vehicles just one has a cover on it lol the Tacoma is great for me I’m single and no kids I’m enjoying my gen 3 even tho the gear hunting is kinda get frustrating at times but overall the Tacoma been great for me almost till 100k miles

Yes sir you made a wise choice,if you buy the 24' forerunner. Believe you said you had kids,so yeah man that be much better for them. Get the black one. Truck bed is nice, but you can always get a single axle trailer to haul.

But you get navigation, traded my 2023 Tacoma, for 2024 4Runner TRD OR, ice cap, all that room, rear ac vents, 360 camera, and it drives like a Lexus….can’t go wrong Kenny. God bless

I see 4runners on the road and they still get neck breaking glances from me. 😂 Its the best suv imo Looks, reliability, engine, resale value, etc And with all the issues toyota/lexus are having with their turbo engines right now (recall), this is a good move! Congrats!
