We are starting to see better discounts but we are also seeing more issues with the new Tacoma #2024toyotatacoma #trdskidplate #toyotatrucks #lilkennytv #offroad4x4 #solaroctane #toyotatrdpro #toyotatacoma #foxshocks #trdprotacoma
They definitely have quite a few. Hopefully we get some more fully loaded ones in different colors and soon. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Right I definitely love my third GEN Trd, pro Tacoma. It’s a great truck. I would have loved some of the new tech, but not at the cost of reliability. Thanks for the reply and feedback my friend. Have a great day.
Toyota is gonna keep having a tough time selling these. Pricing doesn’t match reality. Interest rates are too high, people can’t finance a 45k truck at 6%.
You guys should stop making excuses for toyota and sugarcoating these issues with "first year production" argument. The fact is that Toyota is using cheap materials with cheap labor to build cheap trucks and sell them for more money.
Lol 😂 I hear you my friend. I hear you thanks for the reply and the feedback. I definitely can’t argue with you. It is what it is thanks for checking out the channel.
I read your reply and it is plain dopey. You are obviously a Tacoma hater. All model cars have issues in their first new model year. Including lower sales numbers. I seen a recent Toyota service memo and it stated there has been only 4 engine failures out of around 70,000 tacoma sold. The transmission issues are around the same numbers. The Toyota Tacoma even with the slow sales it is still outselling the frontier 3 to 1. It is killing everyone else. These are all facts.
Right I definitely hear you and it might actually happen. I just really don’t wanna get rid of my Tesla in my truck lol 😂 thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day.
Right nobody has time for a new truck to be sitting in the shop that’s for sure. Congratulations on your new truck my friend. Thanks for the reply and the feedback and checking out the channel. Have a great day.
I was in the process of purchasing a new 2024 Tacoma up until I found it only comes with a 4 cylinder. That was the deal breaker for me. I'll stick with my old Tacoma for now.
Yep just a turbo charge for cylinder. They are even making a hybrid version that puts out about 326 hp and 465 pound feet of torque Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for the feedback as well.
Lol I know it’s a great truck and the 2024 Toyota 4Runner is a really good truck as well ! But i just really like the New look and updates on the new generation Tacoma I just really hope it will last, just as long as previous generation Toyota vehicles ! But I definitely appreciate my truck and love it, and would love to have a 4Runner but I am one of those people that likes to have the latest and greatest lol 😂 thanks for the reply. In the feedback my friend. Have a great weekend. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Good video Kenny I got the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty 0 deductible from toyota I payed 3,798 dollars it covers everything even car rental I'm glad I got it just incase my transmission goes out or something else
Thanks a lot my friend. I truly appreciate the support. it’s crazy that people have to get these hundred thousand mile warranty’s but it sounds like that’s the only way to be sure that she will be covered in case something bad happens to your truck. The whole reason I even got into Tacoma was because they were so reliable, and you never really had to worry about anything breaking down, but things change. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend I guess it’s not that bad if they work it into your deal. Thanks for checking out the channel. Have a great day.
I love it lol 😂 funniest thing I’ve heard all week. Thanks for the laugh my friend I truly needed it. Thanks for checking out the channel. Have a great day.
Tacomas have not been built quite the same since the death of the 2nd gen. I don’t hate Toyota but I had a 2nd and 3rd gen and overall the 3rd gen seemed more cheaply put together. Haven’t driven a 4th gen personally so my verdict is out on that, but from the reviews I’ve seen of it, just seems like a facelifted 3rd gen minus the 3.5L which people give that engine more credit than it deserves, but it was still a decent motor. We will see how the turbo 4 endures.
I can’t argue with you there, my friend well said thanks for the reply and the feedback. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel. We definitely will see how these fourth generation motors do.
Thanks a lot my friend. I love my truck that’s why I had to figure out what’s going on with it. I don’t blame you for sitting it out for a little while to see what’s going on. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel. Have a great day my friend.
Picking up my TRD OR 6 speed tomorrow. I can understand the frustration with pricing in the states. Mine cost 51k CDN, which works out to 37k USD. I see a bunch of inventory in the states, but up here. It's spotty, here and there. My dealer had mine come in, and another that was sold. That's it. Apparently everything that came in was already reserved.
That’s a great price. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Congratulations on your new truck. Manuals are definitely hard to come by around here. The Oilers almost pulled it off lol thanks for the reply and checking out the channel. Have a great day my friend.
I know right makes no sense at all Toyota definitely charging for every single thing on this model. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
I mentioned that to them but they said that wasn’t it. I should be getting a video up soon. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend Have a great day !
Keep raining buckets, LK! Update us on the squeak source. Yep, dealer technique - scattering them around, so they don't look dime a dozen stacked up (we wish!)
Exactly heck of a year from Toyota lol they can scatter them all over but I’ll find them lol I’ll definitely let you know what’s going on with the Tacoma should have a video up soon. Thanks for the reply my friend and checking out the channel. Have a great day.
This is Toyota Of Gladstone in Oregon city Oregon. Make sure you tell them Lil Kenny sent you ! We have a ton of them up here in the northwest ! Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
My family member recently died in one of these new Tacoma’s. Still waiting the final report but we have been told the transmission played a part in the accident. Toyota Motor Corp has taken possession of the vehicle after paying the family.
@@littlekennytv5668 I appreciate you and your content. Your videos really helped when I purchase a ‘24 4Runner Limited for my wife! It was good to know what dealerships were charging outside my area…we had purchased in PA. Anyway, have you thought about taking your show on the road (beyond Oregon)? Would be interesting to see (can’t trust what’s online). Just a thought.
Thanks a lot my friend. I truly appreciate the support and happy 4th of July to you as well my friend. Have a great evening. Thanks for checking out the channel. I really appreciate it !
Yeah I agree I see people on the 4 generation page say they got 4,000 or 5,000 off the premium off road or sport ! So I think they could definitely do better then 1,785 ! Thanks for the reply and the feedback, my friend. Have a great weekend ! Thanks for checking out the channel!
I’m sure they will I just don’t think they want to advertise it lol ! Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend have a great evening!
Toyota here in Canada gave me $2300 more for my 2023 tacoma sport limited than I paid for it 20 months ago and I put 33,000km later. The new tacoma is shit, So I went with a '24 Rav4 limited gas, managed to get that for $3300 lower than MSRP also because they were so desperate for my truck.
Ford is having problems too interesting lol ! Probably not a bad idea to sit it out until we see what’s going on with these new vehicles. Thanks for the reply and the information my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Pretty much the 4Runner is solid !! It’s a new old school truck ! It’s beautiful but it’s just to old of a design and it would put me right back at square one it a little better then my Tacoma because it’s built in Japan but i really like my truck a lot ! But I think it’s a smart decision to at least wait a year at the least to see how these trucks hold up. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great weekend. Thanks for checking out the channel.
US economy continues to *"get slowed"* through the combination of high fuel costs and high interest rates and as battery electric trucks now start hitting the US market in volumes these trucks will continue to build in inventory and not sell at any price. If Toyota had rolled out a hybrid definitely would have been a different story. Long $hmc Honda Motor Corporation strong buy.
Is definitely a rough economy right about now. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Hopefully we will see those hybrid Tacoma show up soon.
Now I hear that Corolla is also having problems. Toyota has killed itself. When you are out shopping for a new vehicle, be sure to ask the salesperson about the "hold back" money every dealer gets from the Mfg.. It's basically guaranteed profit for the stealership. Kenny, you're not thinking of buying one are you?
2024 has definitely been a rough year for Toyota. Hopefully they will get it together soon. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
Kenny - Would you trust one of these new Taco's more than your current truck? Sounds like you are close to pulling the trigger...i'm in the market for a new truck.
That’s a great question lol the third generation is very reliable. I Haven’t had any mechanical issues meaning, engine or transmission but I’m having a front passenger strut removed and replaced because it’s squeaking but other than that in almost 2 years, I haven’t had any problems other than the recall on the rear axle because there could be welding debris on it which my truck did not have ! I am a Tacoma guy so when it comes time for me buying a new truck, it definitely will be a new Tacoma I like the new truck and I’m on the Facebook page and a Lot of new owners love their trucks as well. I think it looks great and I do like the updates and it’s not a V-6 but it does offer more torque and if you get the hybrid version you will get more horsepower and torque ! If you don’t mind the possibility of little things going wrong, or a slight chance, your truck might end up in the shop because of some type of malfunction I would say get one ! The first couple of years are always a gamble you might not have any problems at all but what you will have is the newest Tacoma on the market which I think looks awesome ! Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. I hope I answered your question.
I hear you but they are a little add security for your wheels. It won’t necessarily stop them from stealing your wheels, but it will slow them down. Not all thieves will have a key to take off that lug nut! Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend!
Lol 😂 I wish lol i really wish next year it will be all electric ⚡️ lol 😂 🤦🏾♂️ then they’ll be telling you see no problems with the transmission because there isn’t one lol 😂
The Manuel transmission is having the most problems. There’s only a very few automatic transmission issues. That grill shutter is really unnecessary complicated tech. Toyota should do away with it on the next update. The more unnecessary tech the more chance there is for problems.
Hopefully, Toyota gets the whole transmission thing figured out and the grill shutter thing as well. Thanks for the reply and feedback my friend this new generation Tacoma definitely has a lot of moving parts.
Toyota actually detuned the manual transmission truck because they don't believe the differential can handle drivers that like to pop the clutch. Also when the transmission is under stress as in towing you will start seeing overheating issues. Again I feel the fact that Toyota had to detune the manual transmission shows that the rear differential is underbuilt. I don't think replacing that is going to fix something that is not designed correctly from the beginning.
It’s literally 8hp less and 7 lb feet of torque less than the automatic non hybrid variant. I wouldn’t call that detuned. It’s more common to see a slight variance in power figures between an automatic and manual equipped transmission when both are offered on the same vehicle.
But it is interesting that they are not offering a manual transmission for the hybrid if I’m not mistaking ! Thanks for the reply and feedback though my friend. Have a great day.
They are definitely not building Toyota Tacoma’s like they used to at least that’s what it’s looking like thus far thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
@@littlekennytv5668 Their hybrid system is pretty complex with the regenerative braking etc... I can see why its not offered on that. On another note the car nut channel showed the part number on the main bearing on the Tundra was produced from Nov 2021 through April 2024. At which point they ended production on that part number. The very part that is causing the camshaft to blow up. Also they have not superseded that with a new part number yet. If in fact its metal shavings from assembly getting into the main bearing they why did they discontinue that part number? I've seen the documents. Toyota did in fact do that. Seems very shady. Definitely hints at the possibility of a design defect in the main bearing. And if so, their probably won't be a fix for a very long time. Possibly until they refresh the truck and change the design. This and the fact that its looking like the rear diff is under built on the taco. This is not first year problems. These are design defects. Again I don't believe for one second that replacing the rear diff will fix the problem. its under built and over heats when under load. Many channels have already documented this on their reviews. Including TFL.
@@erichewitt890 Nevertheless they are seeing problems with the MT. Which is crazy. Usually the problems will be with automatics. But many reviewers are overheating the rear diffs when they tax them offroad or try towing like what TFL did (automatics). Really looks like the rear diff is under built. Lots of fanbois though. Saw one reviewer where these guys raved non stop how great the new taco is while going off road. Then at the very end of video made a quick comment about the diff overheating lol. Most viewers probably never watched it to the end and didn't even catch that.
Can we skip the Gen 4 and go straight to Gen 5 for 2025? Just have it be mostly the same as the Gen 3 with updated interior, but bring back the manual hand brake.
I hear you lol one can always wish right lol I definitely like having the handbrake in my third generation Tacoma thanks for the reply and checking out the channel, my friend and the laugh. Have a great day.
Ever heard/been told the specific reason why the Tacoma hybrid versions are taking an eternity to hit the lots? We are more than half way thru the "'24" year and car years really start in the Fall for cripe's sakes.... sheezzzz.
I know right it looks like we will see trailhunters and Trd pro’s before we see hybrids because those are starting to hit some dealership lots ! I also think Toyota is trying to keep demand out for these vehicles as well and probably working out some bugs. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
Hell yeah. Colorado boys up today. Smokin big Tacoma pack! All that shit everyone talked about how much more reliable they are than Colorados didn't age too well did it. It's looking like overpriced bullshit to me idk.
I hear you with all these problems. Toyota should be throwing in that warranty for free, but better to be safe than sorry thanks for the reply and checking out the channel and the information my friend have a great day
Exactly. Hopefully we will see bigger discount in the near future. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Dealership should be taken off at least $5000 in these things will sell a lot faster. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
In essence regardless of the price reduction, it still doesn't add up to "face value". It's like asking $50k for something that's worth $38k and reducing it down to $46k....There's no logic to it so obviously it still isn't a great deal. It's an "excuse" to prevent haggling for consumers. Such a poor obvious marketing tactic by Toyota. Just my opinion which is a known fact!
I hear you my friend. It would be nice if they took off at least $10,000 of these new trucks. Thanks for the reply and the feedback. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Lol 😂 exactly it wouldn’t be a bad choice but it’s just something about the Tacoma frontier. It’s just boring and the ranger raptor is just ugly Great tech though lol and horsepower. Thanks for the reply and feedback, my friend and the laugh. Have a great day.
I bet ! That should’ve been standard, and all the Tacoma’s I personally think thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
Wow, that’s crazy. They probably only want to give what they’re advertising. Thanks for the reply and feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Write the Tahoe is very expensive these days. Crazy how much those trucks went up. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
It might actually happen i really don’t want to do and if I do i really want a pro but probably don’t need a pro lol smh 🤦🏾♂️ thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend.
Yeah, and underground ! Hopefully they start sending out some nice color soon. Haven’t seen the bronze color one yet and I haven’t seen a solar octane in a long time. Thanks for the reply my friend and checking out the channel. Have a great day.
Lol 😂 right they are nice but very expensive. You definitely need to bring your negotiating skills to the table. Thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
This dealer is a total joke - tried shopping there and wanted some simple truck questions answered and I scared away three salesmen ("let me find you an expert on that..."). Every sales person there should know what a Trailer Brake Controller is and what packages one needs to buy to get something that is essential to towing anything over 2K pounds. I also asked about a full size spare and total silence. The salesman promised to call me back - but the bozo never did. This dealer also uses that CDK (Can't Do Krap) software and they have next to zero business continuity plans for their system going dark. If you are looking for a Corolla and know crap about cars, this is the place for you!!!
Lol 😂 lol wow that’s crazy. At least they’re nice lol I’m not gonna lie I don’t know much about the trailer brake controller but I’m not a salesman either lol you definitely are going to make me do a little bit of research and figure out what it does and how it works. I don’t work there, but I am sorry that you had such a bad experience there because they do have some really nice people up there, thanks for the reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel I appreciate the support my friend!
@@littlekennytv5668 The trailer brake controller does exactly what the name says - it controls the electric brakes on a trailer. It has some adjustments so you can dial in the right braking force and it also has a manual actuator so you can just apply trailer brakes. The latter is necessary if you are driving down hill and your trailer starts to push and buck the truck. These controllers used to be aftewrmarket things and screwed onto the knee bolster panels. With the advent of airbags in the bolster areas, it is a tad bit dangerous should the airbag deploy - no one wants a controller embedded in their knee cap. Modern trucks with trailer brake controllers also usually have a screen in the infotainment system that will do a trailer light test sequence so you can start the sequence and walk around the trailer and make sure all the lights work. Lastly, if you are pulling a trailer, you should never run a spare that is one of those temporary use only compromise tires.
I hear you my friend I hear you I’m definitely a Tacoma guy for sure. Hopefully Toyota gets it figured out like they usually do 24 has Definitely been a rough year though. Thanks for the reply and checking out the channel my friend. Have a great day.
@cessealbeach Exactly unless you either owned one or actually worked on one, you will never realize why these trucks are do great. I have a 2016 SR5 and I have zero problems with it. If I sold it today, I could sell it for about the same price I paid for it. Name any vehicle you can say that about.
All good things come to an end. Toyota has a new ceo who immediately joined Ford GM and Ram in producing low quality shiny gadgets. It’s sad really but I won’t be buying their junk now either.
You either buy now while the prices are going down or wait for later and the prices will slowly go up and it will be to late. Depending on the economy or soon to be President Trump comes to power and America will be great again and so will these trucks will get much higher in prices. Let's roll them 🎲 man
@@littlekennytv5668 of course brother all positive comments coming from me .I'm here in the Philippines looking into this 2019 Toyota Hilux G 4x4 nice pick up truck that I hope next month it will be available to sweep it up and take that bad boy to the province area .
Yes the price issue is a important thing. However the Tacoma has always been priced higher. However there is a reason why it has always outsold the competition 3 to 1. Its because of its superior styling, off road performance, second to none reliability and it being the vehicle with the best resale value of any vehicle made period. I will pay more for that.
Exactly that’s what got me into Tacoma’s in the first place everything that you mentioned I absolutely love my third generation Tacoma I believe it’s the best midsize truck ever built. Thanks for your reply and the feedback my friend. Have a great day. Thanks for checking out the channel.
It would really help your channel to start going to other competing dealerships & looking at oThEr midsize trucks 🛻💨 & comparing prices... You hear so many people complain about the price of the Tacoma in your comments so take that info & go to Ford, Nissan & Chevy n' see what they offer for the midsized 🛻💨 market
I know I’ve been meaning to, but those other midsize brand trucks are so boring most of the time lol maybe some test drives would be a little bit better as well. Thanks for the reply and the feedback, my friend have a great day, but I would love to see the new ranger raptor or a High end Colorado.
@@littlekennytv5668yeah but it's not just what you're looking at It's what your viewers want to see in most viewers don't want to just keep looking at the same tacomas for the same expensive prices I just want to see your channel get bigger and you have to show more than a repeat of the same thing over & over... Yeah ranger raptor is cool so is the GMC AT4X & Colorado bison but those things cost around $60,000 You got to find trucks in the $36-45K range trucks that most of the viewers of your channel would want to see It's up to you bro if you don't want to grow keep doing you if you want to grow your channel well obviously expand what you're doing 🤷 and boring to you may not be boring to the next guy/viewer
@@littlekennytv5668I drive a nice 3rd gen Tacoma manual transmission & I went to a Ford dealer the other day, looked at an XLT FX4 📦 Ranger it was 42K & the damn thing looked WAY better than an SR5 Tacoma not even close & a way nicer truck in general!
