Wonderful and honest portrayal of the trail. I don’t know how anyone could do it without trekking poles. I did it last year over New Years right after some epic storm. That cliff erosion between little harbor and two harbors was fresh, new, & terrifying. All of those steep descents were unstable washouts. Coming into Parson’s I had to stop several times to breathe and stop shaking. I did my trip with two extra nights of camping, one in little harbor and two nights at Parson’s so I could day hike to the now inaccessible starlight beach. It was a challenge with those two extra nights and I felt victorious. I can understand feeling defeated with the quick trip you guys did!

You should TOTALLY return! 😊 Great video! My husband and I did it last March and are returning next month with our two boys (13 & 11) to do it with them! I think were you went wrong was not staying in little harbor and then starting fresh heading to two harbors, eat lunch, and then on to Parsons. Funny story, our first night in Black Jack my husband had the worst leg cramp and started to moan and shake our tent in pain. He’s a good size man himself so couldn’t help making the whole tent almost come down. I can only imagine what our neighbors thought we were doing!!! 😂

Thank you for the kind words. You will have a great time I'm sure. The only thing that i would do differently is bring that darn umbrella. I didn't think I'd need it but once again I chose incorrectly and left it at home. The sun beat me up, especially that first day. I know I said I'm never going back but the island bug is biting again. I hope to do this trail at least one more time in the next few years. With an umbrella. 😆

My god, Steve. That place looks epic. I hope to get out there someday soon. I did Channel Island NP a few years ago and loved it. Nice work, I'm following along.

I would absolutely do that slog fest with you again. Type 2 fun. It’s what it’s all about. Glad I got to say I completed that trail with you. Looking back, I had a great time and will go again with adjustment. Keep up the good work!

Great video! You definitely captured the majority of the trail really well for everyone that hasn't done it yet! It definitely looks brutal, especially at the mileage you two were doing each day! Keep up the great content!

Love the scenery out there. Big fan of the All American Burger. I think it taste like tacos. You guys definitely put the miles in. Looks like a tough but fun trail. Cool video Steve. 👍👍 Oh yea. Is that place where they have the Catalina Wine Mixer??

You got your ass handed to you on this trail. LOL Brutal trip but awesome. Your poor feet. The views were amazing though. This is one I still have on my list to do. Thank you for sharing, take care.
