Honestly, the idea of a Transformer transforming into a...satellite, that just lingers up in earths atmosphere, watching everything and feeding Decepticons intel while being a relay for communications, is pretty badass.
Given how reliant we are on satellites for the economy, trade, politics, military, and etc. Soundwave really could have easily destroyed human society whenever he wanted effortlessly by casually causing nuclear war or destroying world economies and governments by just hacking into other satellites. Really insane how much power Soundwave restrained himself from just for the Decepticon cause.
When i watched TF2 back in the day i always thought Soundwave is giant desepticon lol, after TF3 was out i completely forgot that he survived TF2 i was like this is soundwave from TF2? Wasnt he supposed to be bigger? xD
+Puppy Lightning Knight he still was a good con in the movies tho especially how intimidating he was with his pet and not to mention how he was almost impenetrable to bullets
Technically we wouldn't have more than one Transformers Movie if soundwave didnt find out where megatrons body is and revived him. But hey fuck soundwave the twins are more important so they get more screentime :)
ThePemudalope or bigger than them and other transformers like G1 Astrotrian who is the same size as Megatron but when he transforms into a train or shuttle he's like 10x bigger
As much as i prefer Prime Soundwave, u have to give this one credit: he played the role of spy very well. We didn't even knew he was Sam's car until he transformed
Ehhh. If you're watching a Transformers movie and you seek a sleek, beautiful, prominently-featured vehicle, you can pretty much assume it's a Transformer. Didn't know which one though, so you're still right.
I actually love the bayverse designs. They seem real and so complex. My issue is the character development and story. They have cool ass looks yet do nothing. They show up. Babel in their alien language then die. No reason to like them besides their looks. That’s what I loved about the 2007 film. Where the decepticons where actual threats and worked as a team.
Compared to the rest of the Deceptions, Megatron has THE most lines and screen time, but yeah you are correct, Megatron does not have as much screen-time and lines when compared to Prime and Bee.
I always liked the first gen 1 Soundwave's voice. He always had a very cool and very distinctive voice. In the films he sounds like all the other decepticons. Was always disappointed they didn't at least use the same or a very similar sounding voice.
I was always under the impression that Soundwave was actually somewhat stronger than Megatron, but strictly loyal. At least it was my childhood impression. The way they treated the character in these movies was really quite sad, like he was just another disposable baddie.
Soundwaves voice in this is similar to the G1 Megatron, which Welker used to perform that same voice for Soundwaves script, then the sound engineers simply passed it through a vocoder. So yes it is almost the original voice.
godzillavkk it doesn’t..... but if you’re gonna change the designs of the transformers, it has to be changes that make sense..... the transformers designs in this movie are awful to say the least since they almost all look the same.... and were just merely background characters in their own movie which is the reason why people want the g1 designs and the g1 characters and their personalities because that was what made the characters connect with so many fans in the first place..... just an opinion though, and it’s ok to think otherwise
@@AnchorOfTime stop being a hater bayverse ravage still had the body and head of a cat just like the original the only real difference was the large eye
@@lilstupidahhboy5155 actually I do. Ravage never did anything dumb in tf2 the only thing he did that was probably foolish was attacking bumblebee who was many times his size but still ravage attacked optimus in bumblebee and ravage along with laserbeak have attacked autobots many times their size before in the franchise so ravage didn't do anything dumb in tf2. Stop exaggerating ravage did what he did and that was help steal the fragment of the allspark something you would expect from a sneaky minicon like him to do
I loved the first 3 transformers growing up. The second was strange like a middle/highschool audience approach but then the third came back as a banger.
Very true and kind of sad. BUT despite being on screen for only a couple minutes, he was actually one of the most successful decepticons and did a lot to move the plot forward.
Soundwave and Shockwave are no doubt Megatrons most loyal followers. Hell in the movie lore other Deceptions believed Shockeave was the only one who took take on Megtron. They are my favorite Deceptions in any media and in the movies, wished they had more screen time.
Truthaehnchen agreed it's like why bother to add them if they only have up to 2 min of screen time total. And for some of them that's how much time they get for the entire franchise
Vincent Mondragon he's my second favorite. Soundblaster (soundwave reborn in Japanese G1) is my favorite. I and there's no way bee could of killed him especially in G1 since bee was so small
Everything Soundwave says: 0:04: Soundwave acknowledges pursuer: Retrieve it. 0:51: Decepticons! We have located the shard! 1:09: Decepticons: Mobilize. It is time. 1:26: where is the boy?...where is the boy? 1:39: Soundwave reporting Lord Megatron. 1:58: Laserbeak: Kill them all. 2:48: Your mine! 3:34: yes... 3:38: hahaha! I understand. No prisoners, only trophies. 3:54: your mine now! 4:08: Turn around! 4:50: NOOO!
I actually watched this to check for mandibles ended up comparing the two but [ignoring Robots in disguise I didn't even watch all of it] movie soundwave is clearly way more eviller then prime soundwave and I like prime soundwave more cause of him being less evil.
Fun Fact: The man who voices Soundwave (Frank Welker) here also voiced Soundwave in the 1980s cartoon. He also voiced Megatron in the movies and cartoon.
*Megatron:* Soundwave, ready the army! *Soundwave:* No. I am tired of doing all the work and having no personality. I want a story arc, something that gives me depth. I want a romance. Yes, a romantic comedy. Perhaps a relationship with a toaster. The toaster could be stuck up and high-class. I will be quirky and getting in to all sorts of antics. At first she doesn't like me, but then she admires my silly charm. We get to know each other better, but then she discovers I was keeping a secret the whole time. I try to explain I held this secret because I love her, but she is too emotional and filled with hate. So she decides to marry this snob, a real uptight guy with no funny lines. She is about to be wed at the altar, but then I come stumbling in after going through some sort of comedic chase. I plead myself to her, and at first it looks like she's not buying it. But then her eyes tear up, she turns around, gives me a hug, the snobby groom is angry. But then my comedic sidekick comes in and punches him. The crowd cheers. I tell the toaster I love her. She says she loves me. We decide to get married, but we do not show it onscreen because two weddings would just be repetitive. So we end with kind of an open ending, something like we're driving a convertible into the sunset or something. This leaves it open for a sequel. I want to be played by Zac Efron, and Natalie Portman as the toaster. There is a bit of an age difference, but I think she looks young enough so she can pull it off. Disney has shown interest. Garry Marshall is attached to direct. It will be called "Soundwaves of the Heart". It will be rated PG-13 for crude humor and adult situations, but nothing too bad. Just enough to let the male demographic know that it's edgy and will have some gross-out humor for them, and the female demographic will instantly be drawn to the toaster. They will be able to imagine themselves inserted into the role. It will be released in summer, preferably over a holiday weekend. It will break records, win awards, it will be the sleeper hit of the year. *Megatron:* ...No! *Soundwave:* Dammit!
Soundwave overall in the bay verse was fantastic and in character as a espionage deception loyal to Megatron. The only thing I wished they would’ve kept was the electro voice similar to the 80s cartoon but that’s just me
Before ROTF Michael Bay: Soundwave good news you're gonna be in my movies Soundwave: that's wonderful news Rumble, Ravage, Laserbeak, Frenzy wait where's Frenzy? Michael Bay: he died in the last.... look Soundwave cut to the chase you're gonna last two movies and Ravage is gonna last one and Laserbeak is gonna last one Rumble: so how many I'm in? Michael Bay: none Rumble: oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh Soundwave: so am I still a boombox? Michael Bay: nope you're an Mercedes Benz Soundwave: after the sequel I'm gonna keep my mouth shut for a TV show
That's because he is. They're size corresponds to there vehicles. Megatron being a truck being the largest. Starscream being a jet is slightly smaller. Soundwave is a car making him the smallest
4:28 You have to look real closely, but you can see Ratchet shooting at Soundwave before he's knocked back by his sonic cannon. Keep that in mind when you do all Ratchet scenes.
personally , I like the idea of soundwave being a satellite because he can really spy easily on others and his head in revenge of the fallen resembles his g1 design. I also , was able to see some concept art of him before dark of the moon that he had blue , white color in his car mode and have the revenge of the fallen that I think that it could really work .And , I would prefer that version over the one that they saw us but that's just my opinion . I don't want to start an argument I ' m just expressing my opinion
i liked his voice and demeanor. what i hated was him dying as he shoulda been in TF5. also him having guns and fighting bee. he should be the one giving orders.
My favorite Decepticon is brought into the movies he looks decent Me: ok this could be promising Reality: has 3 scenes and dies like a bitch to frickin Bumblebee what a waste of such an amazing and iconic character
