I got another broken, inexpencive Xbox one elite controller from eBay. The description stated no power and a broken left bumper. I had a Halo 5 component kit for an elite controller which helped me choose a color for the new bumpers. Time to fix and mod!! After some testing, the controller works great no issues.

I've got 2 of of these and both of the right bumpers broke, so I went on amazon found the replacement parts and some cool new faceplates.

you could probably just paint it and wait for it to dry, then do it. The only way it could mess it up is if it's not dry and the paint damages the stuff inside. IDK much, I'm just watching random vids

Hey, Ben, I appreciate the work you put into your videos there are not many RU-vidrs that do what you do. One of the main reasons why I have not upgraded to an Xbox Elite Controller myself (besides the fact that they are very expensive) is the lack of Bluetooth. Now, this may seem like a stupid question but is it possible to take the Bluetooth from a regular Xbox controller somehow and add it to the Elite?

I have a gears of war control that wont power on with batteries but will power on with the USB cable. Any idea what the problem might be, I took it apart already and I cant find any defects???

I want those paddles but I don't want the d-pads or the sticks. I put PS3 sticks in my Elite (I do it to all of my pads except for the PS4 because they don't fit... which I replaced with the Elite sticks). Anyway, I wish I could find just the paddles somewhere.

I have one but I kept the changeable joy sticks and dpad. Works great except the dpad, it pulls to the right making the dpad useless

The main xbox lighted button x has the silver costing coming off for me. Is there a way to replace it and any idea why that wore off...the rest of it is fine.

Nice job repairing the pad but (if you don't mind telling us) how much did it cost you to get it off E-Bay ?? Also, how come you've called this a "Halo" style design as I don't remember that shade of blue having anything to do with the franchise, or any blue to be honest ?? Just curious is all as I think the finished product looks cool, nice design as the blue really pops against the black and grey, nice one mate !!

Yo I know this video is old but I’m curious about fixing up an old elite controller. It’s missing the rubber grips on the back. Not just the panels along the back handles, but the grip behind the paddles as well. Is that replaceable?

justin moore There is a ribbon connector that connects the bottom pcb to a separate pcb for the paddle buttons . Make sure they are fully connected, and check for any signs of accidental damage to the connectors or the ribbon itself.

Can you tell me, what if you take front housing from xbox one s, make a hole in the midle, for configuration change button, and also take bumpers from one s and put al that on elite, would it work? :)

infinityawards its a great controller. If you are prefer to play with a controller that you can alter to suit you then you should buy it. If you dont care about that just keep the standard xbox one controller

is the guide color blue? If so, how did you do that?

You can clearly see it's blue even when powered off. So he obviously just replaced (or painted?) the translucent part of the button. As the LED beneath is white, that works just perfectly fine.
