Hey guys. So here is my long work in progress...a Slash 4x4 Vlx SpeedRun Car. **I DIDN'T TIGHTEN THE SLIPPER CLUTCH DOWN ENOUGH AND IT NEVER GOT TO TOP SPEED** TO BE CONTINUED...SPECS BELOW:

When you smell burning you definitely don't want to put the car up to your face like that. These batteries can be super dangerous, Great looking build looks awesome!

Upgrade to the E-revo slipper clutch with the metal pads. Nice setup!

Yeah I did upgrade and I got this car up to 93mph. I have since started a new project (can see latest vid on my channel) with a Low CG Slasg rather than this high CG I was using. Also top mounting the motor so I can run 34/34 gears.

Thanks brother. This was my first Slash 4x4 speed run car and it was a high center of gravity chassis(like most slash 4x4's are) But I switched to a low CG slash 4x4 so I could run side battery trays and get a GT body on it sitting low. The high CG slash can be made to go over 100mph though.

Yeah it's a JConcepts. I've converted this high CG slash back to dirt so I will use this body again for offroad. I also built a new Slash 4x4 low center of gravity and hoping to get some high numbers this season. Full specs are on the latest update vids.

Mine does better on 3300 but I also have a 40t pinion. That's really low kv on that motor, it can't go that fast on that motor. 2050 spectrum gets you about 90. Cool build tho man! I love the look of that body.

My friend that car is not efficient of you try to speed run I suggest you don't use adapters and run castle electronics, doing that it allows you to also run bigger gearing without it cutting off. Instead of a slipper run a spool for front center and rear so it stays more stable also use foams for better grip! Don't forget to use a good aerodynamic body and definitely run MIP shafts for the 4x4 slash they hold great! Besides that good luck!

I have the same mip shafts for 10 years. Sct pro 2400 kv on 4 s with stock gearing goes 64 mph.

Yeah just the slipper clutch. Tightened it and put a better body on and got 93mph.

Is yours set up for speed runs? As in lowered with belted or foam tires..etc.?

Nice! I will be running GRP's too this spring. I have the Hoons up in the 130's so far but that's all they can go I think. Ballooning too much at 132Mph.

It's a sky RC. I think I bought it from Ebay. They are pretty common..most hobby shops will have them in stock.

Yeah I know...the slipper wasn't tight enough. Look in the description I got it to 93MPH later.

It's probably your clutch, mine did 82 with that same gearing. You probably need a bigger motor, get a hobbystar on rcjuice.com, they have some huge 150a motors.

Yes Sir! This body did'nt see much action for me because I'm after 100+ miles per hour. So far up to 93mph with a corvette body on this High center of gravity slash 4x4. She's been retired and I'm building a low CG slash with Jaguar body...stay tuned.

Yes...this was slow..but just the beginning. She did 97mph eventually and I'm up to 105mph on the same motor with a Low CG chassis build. Moving up in motor and battery size from here so 125mph should be the next stop.

Yeah 6s...Have since done 93mph on 6s with this high CG slash. I am building a LCG slash with top mount motor and 34/34 gearing. I'm learning. I only got back into this hobby last year from a 28 year hiatus.

If you must use that body cut the back out of that body. Once u get to about 70 it will parachute

As he said, it's the slipper clutch. You can hear it slipping when he holds it off the ground and tests it. Try locking it down all the way or do the E-Revo slipper upgrade.

Yeah definitely a cheap motor but the quality is still good. What happened in this vid was I fried the clutch because it was too loose. That motor got me to 105 Mph later ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aqix6JaHaCc.html And since the 105mph this car has done 132Mph on a Castle system.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NFSJhduq7eQ.html But I was trying to get to 100mph on a cheap 3670 sized motor and it did to it eventually.

That motor has taken me to 105mph in my most recent speed run vid. I have one in my newer slash 4x4 build and its got plenty of power to go over 100mph if I can set the car up properly.
