Bino, thanks for another great video. I'm working through your various friction hitches, as I've been using the VT with a 30 inch prussik cord and hitch climber pulley, and don't feel that it advances very well. I've decided that while I like long legs on women, I don't like them on my friction hitches. I just ordered a 24 inch cord today, can't wait to try it. Keep up the good work!
Nice job, I just picked up some gear and am playing around with climbing The distel hitch is what I’m trying and noticed like up said it runs on 4 wraps with a 30” so I went for another wrap and it’s better Thank you
My favorite climbing hitch. Done blakes, tauntline, English prusick, vt, kleimhest, and distel is the one I like the best. I like how it sticks a bit cause it keeps from going too fast
re 1:00-2:30 It is much easier & quicker to start by wrapping it downward, as many turns as needed (without the interference of the finishing hitch), and finish by flipping the other end around the bottom as a half hitch.
Thanks for the videos. I've been getting into rope climbing techniques for saddle hunting and leisure. Your videos have helped me alot. Can you try doing a video review of a Shizll and a hitch knot. Great stuff.
Bino, you have great videos. I'm just getting into tree climbing. What is your go to hitch? I feel the most comfortable with a Distel. I like how it sticks to the rope. It feels the safest of the ones I've tried.
@@leoga8521 is cord the new. Sometimes new cords slip. If that's the case you could tie your hitch and run it up and down the line not off the gound but while walking back and forth putting weight on it to wear it a little.
i find that the distel locks up to bad ive tried 8 mill 10 mill 6 mill hitch cord and ive tried big rope and and small rope but i cant use it at work it just locks up to much its the same on the tountline im on the vt right now im 250 with no gear
