I love that Ruqaiya joined the channel. She's my favorite. I love how she guesses the ingredients, and how it was prepared and how it compares to her normal diet. It's so cool to see her facial expressions when she does that and then decides what to say. She's smart and expressive, and her smile and laugh can light up a room. Such a good choice!

The fact that the crew makes many of these assorted dishes is awesome. They are very talented to be able to make all these dishes and come up with good replacements for pork and bacon (when required) in some of the recipes. Well done to the chefs!

Chicken fricassee was brought to the Caribbean islands by French settlers and become very popular there. Today is one of the traditional recipes of my country Cuba. But we cook the potatoes in pieces with the chicken. No mash potatoes involved in our recipe .

You can replace the chicken with veal, then boom! You have a _blanquette de veau._ And you can add thyme to expand the flavors.

Chicken Fricassee is a popular dish in Germany too, usually served with rice instead of potatos. But the German version is so bland and devoid of taste that I'd prefer a good Karahi Gosht over it anytime.
