Nice setup! My curtains are simply blackout material with Velcro to hold to the BEDRUG material! 2019 F150 SPORT Supercrew. Inflatable boot between cab and shell. Rear cab windows are slightly cracked open (seasonal considerations). Rear seat is dog domain, actually contain a dog sling with dog bed pillows. I like your truck bed layout and may copy some of the concept! My current padding on the bed floor is nothing more than a collection of Harbor Freight moving blankets. They work great when layered on top of a thin mattress of spongy foam!

Rags in the corners still working ? 2019 Colorado CCLB, need to seal mine up as well. Might true some leftover foam pipe insulation . from our 3 day South Texas (for us) deep freeze. Great ideas !

Really like the set up. I’m looking to instal some curtains for our truck cap. We use the truck for our special needs soon. Not much to camp overnight, but for traveling and enjoying the parks/beach more. Great video!

As the protector of your family, You should start looking at security. Can I recommend you start by shaving the tailgate ? Placing the mechanism inside prevents anyone from opening it from the outside, and allows you to easily open from the inside. Secondary, That mattress sux, lol. I can recommend you get thick gym mats. They are very comfortable, and they can be folded up out of the way, or into other positions. Easy to clean as well. Oh yeah, those clamps are going to be a big problem when you move around back there. Use flat clamps that tighten from below the bed rail. Please be safe out there.

Hey, we were never anywhere where we were worried about security too much. As for the mattress it was really comfortable but honestly storing it is a bitch. Any particular model of Gym Mats you have used?

Sorry I'm late to the party, I'd like to suggest using a black caulking material to secure the screen on that window. If I recall it should be available at home depot or even on Amazon. When you get to replacing your white caulking under the platform I suggest using the same caulking. I've seen tradesmen use their finger to wipe the bead of caulk for a nice joint. I believe that technique may provide a suitable presentation when you get the chance. Safe travels

Thanks Hunter. The screen needed to be retaped, the first night of the trip the mosquitos found their way in.

Did you install that hardware cloth over the side windows yourself or did they come that way with the topper. That's a good idea from making it easy for someone to just cut the screen and reach in to grab something when the windows are open. I'm doing something similar for the curtains on my side windows as well. Thanks.

The larger thicker screens over the fine screen comes standard with the top. That is the pet screen they say. As for the curtains and rods I did those with some help of my Mother in-law. Took some Sapir curtains, she sewed a pocket in them after measuring and put some Velcro on them so they would stick to the roof when not it use.

I can’t find curtains anywhere, did you make yours? Or what did you search for?

My mother in law ended up making these out of curtains she was throwing away.

If you don’t mind me asking, what size was the mattress topper? I’m trying to do this exact build and I’m not sure what size mattress will fit in my long box canyon.. thanks!

It was a queen mattress topper off Amazon. Link to the one I bought should be in the description.
