I watch Evan and Katelyn because of Evan and Katelyn, not for precise DYI. I love the banter and play more than the finished project. Of course, seeing the end result is cool, but it doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the video. My favorite videos are the Bob Ross and cooking videos, most particularly the blind cooking banana muffins. Fun and wonderful banter. I’m happy the muffins came out for Evan’s sake, but if they fell flat (too much baking soda or whatever) would not have changed my enjoyment of the video. Be creative, have fun, banter and be yourselves, those always make the best videos.

Improv has been great for tackling my penchant for overthinking. It seems the more you overthink and try to perfect something in improv, the worse it comes out! It really forces you to have fun in order to do your best! So you really have to embrace the chaos! But fortunately, there's still ways to improve your improv skills while not trying too hard, which I'm really drawn to.

I am sensing a trend with you two that you're trying to perfect your trade. I get this. And you ARE perfectionists. At least one of you is! But... The best thing about your content - imo - is that you are just regular people, trying out new things! Any and all imperfections are what makes the content really great!! There's no formula for good content! Please don't overthink it!!! We don't watch You Tube to see "formulated TV shows". Please just let go of the whole formula idea. Let's just explore your projects together, HOWEVER they come! Thank You for sharing your journey! ♡♡♡

For the streaming/gaming desk set up, There are splitters to allow 1 set (of monitor, keyboard, mouse) to multiple systems so you just need to hotkey to switch between them. Also, I love watching you guys because of your dynamics, not for the perfections. Yall are awesome (and entertaining) people!

I personally love it when people fail forward. I think the live streaming for more opportunities to try new things is awesome! I consume as much of your content as possible (videos, Twitch, Podcast). Whatever y'all do, I'm here for it. I don't think people really watch for your topics/content. It is your personalities and they way you interact with each other/ the audience that attracts people to you.

Something you could possibly do is tell your patreon peeps what the project is to get their suggestions, but don't read them. Film your trials without the bias and then do a patreon suggestion part. Also, I feel the not finishing projects thing. Generally I get super into something and get decent at it and then get bored and find a new shiny thing.

One of things I enjoy is watching the experimenting and learning process. That combined with your chemistry and banter is what makes your videos so much fun to watch for me. I think the 37 attempts to make soap video is a great example

technically you could also really push affiliate links depending on the topic of your podcast. but I think adsense and sponsors are the main things

There’s also Anchor, they automatically distribute your podcast and they’ll pay you to promote their site on every episode. (They don’t pay very much, but it does put a little extra change in your pocket) Edit: I guess that counts as a sponsor though :/

I understand your limitations on time and effort and how many iterations you can do, but let's be real. We wouldn't mind longer videos or "worse" videos with more iterations IF you could do them. We're sitting here watching you talk for 46 minutes.

Idk about other people but when I make suggestions it's kind of more that I'm assuming you keep doing crafting for yourself that you don't bother filming and might just still be interested in getting specific results for yourself. It's not that I expect to see you come back and implement it, and part of it is wanting other people watching to have the suggestions too, if they're result oriented. So I assume that often enough other comments are intended the same way. It doesn't generally occur to me that there might be perceived pressure to come back and address any suggestions.
