Exaclty I own a Supra and have a lot of experience with B58 cars in general and a 340i on a hybrid turbo isn’t making 500 it’s more like 500whp and that’s being really conservative.
Stage 2 on a B58 is about 450 bhp. Stage 3 is usually around the 560 bhp mark, minimum, but it depends what turbo and fuel pump has been used, some Stage 3 cars are well over 600 bhp If we assume the Supra is 450bhp then that 340i must be more like 600 to pull so hard even from a roll.
the info is completely accurate, the f30 340i has an earlier gen b58 engine with a downgraded fuel system and makes less power with its turbo, iirc the charged air is cooled with coolant on the newer b58. It is less capable and needs all those mods to make that power.
Quantity over quality for this channel, but I won't poke holes without offering some solutions: 1. Get the owners to write down their exact mods prior to coming out (ex. A stage 1 tune vs fully swapped turbos and custom tune is a HUGE difference) 2. A couple of Dragy devices would be $400 in total and would add some much needed context and valid data Just those two changes which require a little more time and investment would make all these videos drastically more credible. I really do appreciate how hard Sam and the team work to get all these cars out and if they combine that effort with a bit more due diligence, the videos would be really awesome.
Sam said in one of the videos that the racebox is not working there because it's an Airport or something. I doubt it because if they have GPS signal racebox should work there.
340i owner is such liar, I have a stage 2 340i that makes 440whp, that 340i makes 500+whp. hate guys who lie on a platform that is supposed to be informational.
@@harisjaved1379 which makes the roll races even more absurd. AWD means it’s heavier than a RWD model. Supra is what it claims. 340 driver sandbagging the race to make himself look better
Love this channel, but something is off here… I expected the BMW to win the dig and barely lose the roll, but this was very unexpected. Either the Supra owner is overstating HP or the BMW owner is understating HP. Understandable for the BMW to win from a dig w/ X-drive launch system, but he absolutely pulled on the Supra during the roll despite being heavier and AWD. One of the owners is lying about their figures, or there was another factor that made these races not make sense.
That BMW has way more then 500hp. The way it launch it can go head to head with a 911 turbo S. I bet he has a racebox that can show us his 1/4 mile times.
@@darryltaylor8708 i don't need to see. The S does the 1/4 in 10.2 -10.4 carwow times. That bmw does it in the high 10 . The super cross the line 1 - 1.5 sec behind and it does the 1/4 stock 12.3. I'm not saying his going to win the turbo S . but he will be very close to him.
@@avis1978 keep in mind the Supra does a 12.3 AT BEST on a prepped track. This isn’t a prepped track. It probably did a high 12 on this run. Also that BMW isn’t running E-85 or meth, which is what it would need to keep up with the latest turbo s from a roll and stop I’m also doubting that it’s a low 10 second car on pump. That M340 likely does 10.5-10.6 @130 The turbo s does 9.9-10.3 at 137-140

Well… if you go back two weeks, the BMW raced another BMW and this time claimed to have 550BHP. Same car, same driver. Sooooooo… the owner is definitely lying. Last time the guy didn’t claim to have an upgraded turbo. Now, he does.
That Supra owner is lying. 🤦♂️ It’s well known in the Supra community that you can’t get 500 HP on stock turbos and pump gas. He probably has like 430 HP or 450HP at best. And what the hell is a stage 2? The bimmer owner sounds about right with the pure turbo and upgrades. Time to find a new Supra owner
Exactly I own a Supra with an OTS 93 tune and downpipe and the car makes around 425whp. If it was a custom tune it would be anywhere from 450-460whp and on E50 it would be at 500whp. Since both cars have the same motor and claim the same power which they both aren’t with that Supra being more like 430whp and that 340i close to 600whp it’s a big difference which is why even the roll races aren’t close. Need more valid data in the video with times using a race box or draggy

With a hybrid turbo on 340i your usually around 500 wheel hp or more if ethanol or port injection is involved. The 340i is making WAY more power then 500 or supra is piggyback and no e. I have a supra with flex e50 stage 2 ecutek tune and barely touch 500 wheel hp depending in the dyno. Somebody is full of it in this race. I wanna see a full mod list cause the 340 was moving.
The 340i has a hyrbrid turbo, maybe even if they have similar numbers the turbo in the 340i spool all the way to redline, idk but anyway that 340i has a hybrid turbo and it’s probably pushing more power
yeah dude I think it's a combination of both the 340i is making will above 500 and the Supra is nowhere near it. this is the same slow ass supra that lost to that hellcat that had sketchy ass numbers too a week ago. probably not sam car legion, but definitely these owners are cap.

Sam I suggest watching channels such as auto glory to learn more about the upgrades done to differnt cars. Tune vs tune is misleading in the title. I thought it would be a simple computer tune for both based on the title
That 340 even on pump 93 with those mods is easily 550+ whp depending on which hybrid turbo and who tuned it. If hes running any ethanol its most likely closer to 600whp or even more. Thing moves
Yea, that Bimmer has more than 500hp. Too much of a gap for "similar numbers" and it weighs more. Maybe the XDrive is the reason but even on the rolls, the Bimmer pulls away hard on the Supra. SUS!
When the guy with the Supra said 500 hp and it clearly isn’t you should probably send him home and not even bother posting this video. Keep the good content. This one was a giant swing and a miss.
Some Notes: The races are not uploaded in sequence. The M50 vs 340 race took place more recently. Hence why the Hp numbers are different in this race vs the other.
We all know the BMW was making more power. It needed a little over 10% more power to stay even from a roll. The two cars did not stay even, therefore the BMW had much more than the needed 10% more power. Must of had 20% more power. 500hp Supra vs 600hp BMW. It was fun watching for the surprise... BMW lied.
Owners need to give you actual data, i.e. dino sheet maybe, because this seems very accurate. I can definitely assume that the numbers on the 340 is a little more than what he's saying or the Supra is pulling your leg. My brother has a tuned 3.0 Supra with down pipes and exhaust and he walks on stock 340i or is neck and neck with 340i that are tuned.
I'm a proud owner of a 2018 bmw 340 xi, m sport package. I tell you what, that beast ain't no joke and mine completely stock. The easiest car to tune on the market. Ecu flash, BAM!!! 400 hp.
500hp doesn't mean much when taken out of context, especially on tuned vehicles. Those numbers would have to be Dyno to be consistent and even then both vehicles would have to use the same Dyno one right after the other. Remember, dynos aren't actually used to measure hp and torque since they could be calibrated any which way. Dynos are used to measure the differences before and after.
It’s a Stage 2 93 Supra vs a Hybrid Turbo/Fuel Pump/Tuned Supra with tires. If the 340i is on Ethanol Fuel it’s making around 600whp and if the Supra is what I think it is like 420whp. Big old difference.
I suspect the upgraded turbo with the XDrive are the biggest differentiators on the 340. The car launches hard and seems to spool instantly from a roll. I was surprised by the result.
@@SS1LE_Urien the Supra “could” install the same turbo. But it’s doesn’t have it. That BMW likely has a Pure 700/800/850 turbo and an unlocked ecu. The Supra looks like it has JB4 with a locked ecu off the shelf tune
if these cars are OTS map, like that supra probably is, please state the exact map in the info! If it's MHD, I can tell you exactly how much power that supra is making. Take a log of that 340i and same deal. I'm going to bet that supra is MHD stage 2 OTS 93, aka like 430ish whp range. I would also bet the bmw is north of 500whp on a bigger turbo. This would be much closer with the supra on the MHD 2+ e40 tune :) edit: the e40 MHD 2+ ots map is the most aggressive box tune available for the b58, and will nearly extract all the stock turbo has, at around 500whp. Friends of mine have gone from that e40 tune to a custom tune, and only gained a marginal 10-20hp. Just for the record
Gen 1 b58s don’t really make much power upgraded turbos without the right supporting mods. Ethanol, and stage 2 hpfp(high pressure fuel pump) yeah you can make 650. But don’t have either you’re only making 500/550

doesnt matter which gen b58 it is, once theyre dialed in they make about the same numbers. so around 480whp, the 340i has an upgraded turbo tho so its probably more around 600whp
More info would be good, are they both TU? I'm not bimmer enough to know by looking lol And hybrid turbo is pretty vague so hard to know why the gap is way bigger than we expect
Where is the dyno sheets? Should be posted every video with a modified car. Your just losing credibility. That bmw is either 700 plus or that supra is hitting less than 500
It’s both. I have a Supra and it’s pretty well known in the community that you can’t hit 500HP on pump gas and stock turbos. And wtf is a stage 2? The bimmer probably has a custom tune, pure turbos, fuel upgrade, etc and makes the same HP as the Supra? 🤦♂️ AND the bimmer weighs more and awd and still gets smoked in the rolling race? Yeah, he needs to start verifying it somehow.
You can't use bhp numbers when running modded cars. If they have a dyno sheet provide whp numbers, and even then those can vary based on the dyno & conditions. I'm thinking there's at least 60 to 80whp difference in the BMW's favor based on the 2nd roll when the Supra took the hit and the BMW pulling hard even with it being the heavier car.

A hybrid turbo upgrade demands a tune. So this 340i is easily 650HP 500tq. And the races simply confirm this fact. Race was for clickbait only purposes.
