It’s an old limestone mine. Tyler is from Kentucky. Used to be you mined coal in Kentucky and southwest Virginia and West Virginia or you didn’t do much else, so they turned it into a coal mine because one thing Tyler will always be is Appalachian. He is the physical embodiment of our part of the world. Even better he is a great man and a great musician and writer. Thank y’all for giving him a listen.

Tyler was also trying to bring awareness to black lung which is what the man in the video died from. It’s what the minors get from working in the coal mines so many die every year from it.

Maybe when you guys do this, you could actually bring something new to the table, and something was less contrived and completely oblivious and not as boring, as opposed to whatever this shit was. It was obviously a mine, and not a cave, and the dude obviously caught a terminal case of black lung. How was that not obvious?
