Hey good for you for winning the pilot lottery, but I just HATE these kind of stories where so much critical information and explanation is simply ignored. So this charter outfit is paying for your type rating training? And your only qualification is a 1000 hour flight instructor? Am I missing something here? So did you have to sign some agreement to work for them for the next 5 years minimum so they get their money back out of you?? Indentured servant ??? They paying you like $15 / hour - flight time only??? Quit watching about 6 minutes in. Again congrats on your job for life. Sorry you miss heard I think. I had 4000 total time with around 750 multi. Also to be a flight instructor you must have an instrument and commercial it’s part of the prerequisites to the certificate. It’s totally possible to build connections and receive opportunities particularly in this market. Hope it helps.
