Learn and practice these two exercises for ulnar deviation and radial deviation strength using the Theraband Flexbar. Ulnar deviation and radial deviation motions can be confusing to understand, but I show you how to perform both of them using the Flexbar and work on strengthening your forearm and wrist areas. These are great exercises if you have elbow pain, forearm pain, wrist pain, hand pain, or radiating pain coming from further up the kinetic chain.
What types of conditions would you want to perform ulnar deviation and radial deviation for? Common conditions where these Flexbar exercises can be beneficial include, tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis), olecranon (elbow) bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, radial tunnel syndrome, ulnar tunnel syndrome, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, arthritis, and atheltic injuries like sprains and strains of the area.
I cover a lot of additional exercises you can try in other videos on the channel, so if you're looking to use the Theraband Flexbar to perform other exercises, make sure you check out the Theraband Flexbar playlist.

Which muscles are worked specifically by radial deviation

I would be curious to know whether either of these 2 exercises have a place in a program dealing with Cubital or Carpal Tunnel Syndrom. Is it relevant at all do you think?
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
They definitely do when they're directed at the right time by a professional.

Will ulnar deviation exercises help cubital tunnel symptoms?
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab

Great question. I would typically prescribed nerve gliding exercises initially for that condition, but it depends patient to patient. We have some videos on nerve flossing/gliding as well. Thanks for watching!

Will these exercises help if you have ulnar nerve entrapment?
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab 2 года назад
I would focus more on ulnar nerve flossing exercises to release the ulnar nerve where it's entrapped.

i have pain when doing the radial exercise. Does that mean i have radial tunnel syndrom?

That wouldn't be enough of a sign, alone, to diagnose it.

I’m not sure if you’ll reply to this, I have had x ray for my wrist and it’s perfectly fine(the bone) When I do a pronation, my wrist clicks. What does that mean? Thank you so much if you do reply
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
That's not really enough information for me to give a good response, and it would be hard without examining your wrist in person. It's often just degenerative change to the joints with joint crepitus.

@@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab I am due to have ozonetherapy+PRP tomorrow, my wrist clicks when pronation and I feel my wrist bony área tender, I’m a goalkeeper, I need to be back on the pitch on the 4th, do you reckon this therapy will help me? Please reply if you can 🙏🏼
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
@@Vitorgava Hopefully it does. I would always tell a patient to rehabilitate an injury like this as well if they are going to try the treatments you mentioned. Best of luck in your recovery!

Could you please make a video for flexbar exercises that help with triceps tendinitis?
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab 2 года назад
For Tri tendinitis, I would use small dumbells or a Theraband in the rehab process instead of the Flexbar if I was prescribing exercises for a patient.

I’m not sure if you’ll reply to this, I have had x ray for my wrist and it’s perfectly fine(the bone) When I do a pronation, my wrist clicks but only when in that position. I’m a goalkeeper and whenever it hits the wrist, it goes tender and impossible to carry on. What does that mean? Thank you so much if you do reply

I'm sorry to hear that. I can't give you any specific advise but I always recommend finding a chiropractor or PT who can help!

How many times can i do
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab
@JasonWilliamsDC-Chiro-Rehab 3 года назад
For patients of mine, it really depends, but a good rule I typically give my patients is to perform until fatigue.
