Try instead "spirit animal in hiding" or "my spirit animal in secret" or a complete rephrase "secretly my spirit animal"! (I hope this isn't annoying, I'm hoping it'll be an enjoyable learning thing!!! Sorry if it seems rude instead!!!)

You know... when you see people from a completely different place come with and open mind and hear to explore the jewels of a city and truly take it in and appreciate it... you know there is hope for this planet. I think this video brings that home for me more than any other they have done and I always adore how they don't just look at the food but find the spark that makes each place... unique and special.

1. I'm glad the 3 'Normals' have Graduated themselves to 'Foodies' #MuchBetter. 2. If you like New Orleans, You gonna Looove Cape Town. 3. Seeing the Beef Stew Po'Boy and watching Jamie describe it, made my mouth water. I'd be interested to see Varieties of that dish in the Sorted Kitchen. 4. I grew up in cajun country. A po-boy (originally called "poor boy") is all about the bread roll. What's inside can vary greatly, from seafood, to roast beef, to deli meats. They are typically simple sandwiches, because they were originally made as a hand-held meal for poor, working men. Kind of like the English pasty. That fried bologna sandwich was not a po-boy -- but still a Southern tradition. Wrong bread. Red beans and rice was, at one time, a Monday (wash day) food because mama didn't have to fuss over it after a day of laundering clothes for the family.

BTW, it is Bananas Foster, not Banana Fosters. Super easy to make at home -- great for impressing guests. It was invented at Brennan's, which is not next door to Commander's Palace (well, not currently -- not sure about where Brennan's may have been in the past).

It's videos like these that I think really separate you guys from everyone else, not only do you care about the food, but also the culture surrounding it... Its very clear you all love every aspect of food and its shown off beautifully in these kinds of videos. My friends and I love travelling and it would be an absolute dream to go into cities like you do, get recommendations from locals and really get absorbed into the culture! Just moved to Oregon from Louisiana with my Louisiana-born boyfriend. We have only been here about 2.5 months and (because of a number of circumstances along with general homesickness) we are about to move back. I adore NOLA. It is such a special and amazing city, and my boyfriend and I have so many memories in NOLA. Watching this video and I just feel with total certainty that we are making the right decision. I'm not from Louisiana, but I miss it, and I know it's my home with my guy. This video is just making me so happy.
