I have Michelin Pilot PS4 all season. Spectacular tire

What a timely video as I'm deciding between exactly these two tires. While I don't own an Alfa Romeo, my '23 Mazda CX-5 Turbo AWD is very capable. It seems like the firmer suspension, especially with lowering springs, would push me toward the Continental DWS06 Plus for the best overall experience. Your video helped push me off the fence. Thanks!

Really enjoy your videos, extremely thorough and detailed! I have a May 2020 Giulia quadrifoglio on Michelin PS 4S, which I'm planning to use throughout winter, I'm based in the UK so not likely to see as extreme low temperatures or snow as you may experience

I run the vredestein hypertrac on my Stinger GT and it is a great tire choice. Quiet, comfortable, and great traction in the wet and cold climates. I would definitely recommend it as a more budget friendly option when compared to the Michelin and Conti.

Although I don't own any QV but just wanted to tell you that I have a Stelvio TI Sport and hated the stock continental's on it. So last year after a lot of research and watching your Michelin Pilot Sport 4 AS review video I ended up pulling the trigger for continental DWS 06+ and let me tell you I love the tire and can confirm improved stability, superb handling in dry, better traction in rain and snow. Yes I live in Toronto but I don't drive that much so I did not buy a separate winter set. Just using Continental DWS06+ and pretty happy with the performance.

So weirdly enough I have a 2020 quad and I just switched from the p zero corsa to the Michelin pilot all season 4s due to the weather getting colder. Let me tell you best decision I have ever made the ride is better, I haven't noticed any reduction in performance if anything the Michelins are better I used to spin in first using race mode now I hook and book and I feel better knowing I wont go off the road in the winter! Best all season tire you can buy. I also daily my quad.

I recently sold a car with the DWS06+ and found them to be an awesome all around tire, and can even get away with it in mild snow conditions. I swapped out the Corsas off my QV for same reasons you mentioned and went with MPSS and love those but I only drive it during the summer months. I currently have the Pilot Sport 4 on my GRC and temps dipped to below zero deg (C) and they were still decently grippy but I’m sure the awd also helps. They might get you buy with minimal snow and not so freezing temps.

I did put the Conti’s on, replacing the Corsa’s on my previous ‘19Q. Thought they rode a bit more rigid with less flex than the originals- therefore a bit rough and I only had them on the car before for about 1200 miles before I traded the car in on a ‘21 Q. They did appear more durable though. You were right about a complete recalibration of the drive/ride/braking on the ‘21. I’ve only had this car for about a week though back to the Corsa’s. I did read the complete reviews on Tire Rack as there’s a way to actually talk to them to reduce the number of reviews to just Alfa’s if you “chat” with them. Veloce!!

Interesting feedback on the Continental but i agree the Corsa are a bit soft in a way too so the DWS must have a stiffer sidewall

I will second this. Had the Continentals on my Quad for about 9000 miles. Wore better than the PSS and way stiffer sidewall, which I prefer. Not as good dry grip. On MPS4S now.

A little different perspective- I’m driving a Mustang GT PP1 - First three years in North Jersey - next two years in North Texas. Over the last five years have driven in approximately twenty five states, summer 115°, winter close to 0°. Tire - Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus. Love this tire. All I can say is this this a Great all around tire - Tires last 45,000 to 50,000 miles. Might be tires this good, but for now I’m a Continental guy

I have a lowered 2011 Chevy Cruze 1.4L Turbo/6 speed manual. I am 50/50 interstate and in town driving. I currently have the DWS06's I had put on in 2018 with 62,500 miles on them. Love this tire so much. They have been great in rain and light snow, they are a rough ride now and some what loud, but they are at the wear bars, no uneven wear either. I plan to replace before winter hits here in MO. I will be replacing with the DWS06+, interestingly enough, pricing from the same tire shop is only $50 more for the set now in 2023 vs 2018.

I put Conti DWS 06 Plus on my 2022 Veloster N, 6M Tire is obvs less grippy than the pirellis that came with the car, but since I don’t race it I don’t care. Through the first rotation running all 4 corners at 39psi I have even wear and best of all… I couldn’t get better than 32MpG with the pirellis. With these I average 36-37mpg at 55-60 mph.

I just installed the DWS 06 Plus but I haven't driven in much. It is very quiet and handles well so far. I did have the previous version of the DWS 06 on my 370 Z with a staggered setup and they ran very nice and sporty and could do light snow for sure. We don't get much snow here in Vegas but I did drive up Mt Charleston once in winter light snow and the car was great. Again this is the 370Z and not the Guilia. My reason for going with the tire was overall great performance, top treadwear rating, and they were a little more affordable than some of the other tires I considered. It does handle very well during the summer as well but if you track your car you'll want a summer tire with a 200 or so tread rating. The DWS is 500 but it really is deceiving because it does drive very well and is very responsive.

Nokians and Blizzaks are the absolute best snow tires if you get stuck on a set of those you should not be allowed to operate a motor vehicle. The issue with those tires is they are mostly focused on snow and ice performance and dry handling is very bad on a performance car so the Ultra High Performance All Seasons kinda gives you a sweet spot to enjoy the car in winter months but would not work in deep and heavy snow storms.

Pilot 4S is definitely good in the low temps I did lots of testing way back on this channel on my red Shelby GT350 and was shocked. My fear putting those on now is I have been working off site last few months and if it starts to snow Il be in big trouble as the temps are colder up north and weather tends to get bad quickly once it starts so I need something a bit safer just in case it does snow and still give me good daily handling.

I don't drive a performance car, but I tried both on my Audi A6. I totally agree with you that the Michelin has a harsh ride quality and it's noisy compared to the Continental, but I disagree all the way that it has higher trade wear. Actually, and from my experience, the Conti has the highest tread wear, and it's very explainable. In my opinion, when you go with a softer, more flexible rubber combination, you get better sound insulation and comfort but higher tread wear, which was my experience with the Conti. It's a compromise aspect, just like when you buy a thinner engine oil, even though it might state that it has the same rating for summer conditions as a thicker one. You must know that by running thinner oil, you're definitely compromising its summer performance, disregarding what's written in the canister.

For the record, I live in the desert region of Arizona where Summer tires work year-round. With that being said, I use* to run strictly Ultra-High Performance Summer tires on all of my cars. Recently (back in 2019-ish) I made the switch to the Continental DWS06 Plus tires and have not regretted a moment of that decision. Part of my reasoning was the aging of our Sports Sedan. She is almost ten years old now and I don't need to be pushing her like I did in the past. Not to mention, with enthusiastic driving comes accelerated wear and tear on the tires. This is/was especially true with super sticky UHP Summer tires. I also happen to be driving over one hundred miles (round trip) every-single-day for the last umpteen amount of years. So that naturally meant that I was buying new tires on a far more frequent basis than your average driver. This became rather costly and monotonous. Therefore, an All-Season Ultra High Performance tire was in order. The choice was simple and obvious - _Continental DWS06 Plus._ Now I know that vast majority of the US has four seasons to deal with throughout the year. Whereas, the most inclement weather I see is our annual monsoons, so wet weather performance was the only other necessity. Albeit, the deluge of rain is often misunderstood by those that have never experienced an Arizona Monsoon but I digress. While the Michelin Pilot Sport series is phenomenal in their own right; I can't help but think that we are paying more simply for the cache behind the name. IMHO, the choice is simple: *Continental.* Stay classy my friend. *EDITED for grammar.
