Last thing I need is another monitor but I ended up watching your whole 15 minute review Mr Zorz Guy. I feel like I learned something useful and I was entertained by the humor of the Zorz guy at the same time. He’s really funny. I’ve actually met him, can even say I know him, and he is as cool and as funny and as kind in the outside world as he is on the screen. He’s good. I wonder why he doesn’t have more followers. Someone should start some kind of a fan club, or fan page. Do they still have those?

I checked the status for delivery, and at 3 pm they said "no signature provided - shipping delayed till tomorrow." I was SO pissed. Now I'm damn curious as to how much of a difference I'd see. I'm surprised you are not seeing closer to MBR with the OLED screen. I also come from CRT era of playing Quake 2, 3 Arena and Half-Life DM. I get my LG 27" OLED today and will verify too. I'm coming from Neo G8 240Hz 4K (with MBR) along with Zowie XL2566K. I've been a huge fan of blurbusters and their suggestions and tools to chasing the CRT dream.

protip if you have an lg magic remote you can use it to control this so that way you won't have to worry about getting a battery for that small remote it comes with you can disable the beep noise in the menu as well

This was a great first review. I love my motion blur obsession as well. Oled is the real deal after swearing nothin would beat my 2646k with Benq’s dyac+ . Once Benq drops a 1440 360hz with dyac+ that may be the one tho

Can you confirm if the response time and the input latency is beyond fast than any other monitor? Would you say it's a game changer?

Bro FedEx did the exact same thing on my delivery for this monitor lol, had to wait two extra days to pick it up from one of their locations.

I had Iffy first impressions on this monitor as well. However after using it for a few days and finding the right setting I am in love with this monitor. This is the setting I settled with: Gamer 2, brightness 60 (you can adjust to your liking), contrast 70, sharpness 50, Gamma mode 2, custom rgb 50,50,44, and black stabilizer 50. Give this a shot if you’d like and let me know how it is. Also there’s a bug with the monitor where it locks you at 4k 120hz. It’s a quick fix that requires CRU. Unfortunately I cannot post the link as this comment will be automatically deleted. You should be able to find the solution on Reddit pretty easily.

My problem wasn’t the brightness, it was the absolutely terrible matte finish. Coming from a LG OLED C2 that has a nice glossy finish, this looks greasy or smeared. I’m just not sure I can get past that. LG could easily fix this by discontinuing their current build and simply correcting it. 💯

When I seen the $1000 price tag I was like nawww can't be worth. Glad your initial Impression leans that way. OLED is nice but I'd rather wait for it to drop in price. You can get nicely color accurate 1440p 240hz monitors in the $500-700 range.

Sup, Zorz. Yea these shipping companies are something else. Had the same issue once before with ups as well. They said they tried to drop off, had to have signature, and you know I'm sitting around watching my tracking and listening for the door bell. They come, don't ring door bell, don't knock, and don't call. They them left with my monitor. Went to check tracking to see where it was, it was supposed to be dropped at a ups location and it wasn't. The monitor was headed back to it's origin. And guess what, Amazon wouldn't send out another monitor till that one got back. Now we give these delivery companies out phone numbers to contact us if someone doesn't come to the door. So yeaaaa they suck. Took me a whole extra week to get my monitor. Something tells me before I even get an OLED I'm not going to be impressed enough to get one over a good IPS monitor. And LG is really shady to say tha least. I've heard horror stories with Customer Service. And yes, I just got the LG32GP850 just 3 days ago. Damn beautiful 1440p monitor. But there CS still scares the shit out me if I have to wait past the 30 days with Amazon. Now I gotta go open my box again and see if I have a remote. 😂 Oh, and another thing about the packaging of LG. The way they put the stand in tha box, no support what so ever. Basically pull up the styrofoam and all the parts are sitting in the bottom of tha box. Like wtf LG. Yea also, I've heard how shipping companies are in the inside. The shipping world is a mf and depending on how tired or over worked a worker is, dictates if they get pissed and throw your merchandise around on purpose. If you are gaming, I would avoid using Vivid mode if you play games. Vivid mode turns off LG DAS feature, which will introduce input lag.

The brightness is fine for me and I think overall it’s super dope, but the coating does look dirty

13:38 its supposed to be a true 1 ms or less response time. No marketing fluff when it comes to that.

“Burn in from improper usage.” Their page states they increased warranty to 2 years and it DOES include “Normal usage burn in”.

I don't play for millions of dollars or even for $5, I am still considering getting the XL2566K. (360hz DyAc) I also just spend a grand on the ASUS 1440p IPS 360hz and I feel like I lost something when it came to moving figures, and even clarity when moving around corners and stuff. It does look great, especially in a game like Borderlands 2, I'm just so used to DyAc on the XL2546 I have though. I'm kinda sad to see your be less than impressed with this OLED display, but also I probably was never gonna get one anyways xd.

I have one and love it but if I want 4k I just use my C9 oled and I don't plan on moving from the 27'' 1440p 240hz oled until we get 4k @ 32'' 240hz or higher on a oled 16:9

I think there a lots of negatives on this monitor. I tried to play OLED laptops with (Asus Vivobook Pro OLED to be specific) Glossy screen and 120hz at 2.8k resolution and I was like "Holy shit its so damn good"! But then when I tried to used the the ROG 42" OLED I was like "uhmm is this $2200 OLED? (In our regional price)". So I suspect that I will get same impression if ever I get that monitor.

Turn up HDR in Windows 11 for more Brightness.

I just cancelled my pre-order after seeing your review, in my opion 240hz oled is unbeatable in moton clarity and input lag, looks like it is not. Maybe PG27AQN is better, idk...

Oled is fine until you have static images or you are reading texts.
