This 1 : 32-scale model of the series 10 steam locomotive weighs 8.5 kilograms and is 833 millimeters long. The prototype dates from 1956 and was then built in two by the Krupp company. KM1 Modellbau realized the express train locomotive in ten variants. For this unboxing video, I borrowed the KM1 exhibition copy of the museum locomotive variant. The list price of the finely detailed handcrafted brass models is 3290 euros. An ESU LokSound 5XL multi-protocol digital decoder with energy buffer is installed. 31 switchable functions are programmed on it. The locomotive has a Dynamic Smoke 3-way smoke generator for the chimney, the cylinders and the steam whistle as well as a servomotor reversing and a nifty, very easy-to-use electro-kinematic locomotive tender close coupling (kinelectics).
