unconscious bias is the term people use when they take upon themselves to decide you are racist when you know you aren't, and want to force you to do things, soley based on how people look. In other words, its absolute bunk. As Norman Lear so succinctly said at 100: "There's something inherently wrong with a society that tells people what they can and can't do and say, based on how people look. Looks don't matter. People know when they're being nice. That is enough."

Bias is not the only thing that's unconscious. People do have an unconscious desire to dress well FOR OTHERS. We just like to think that we do it for ourselves. Riddle me this, do you dress good when you go out or when you chill at home? Do you put on your best outfit for an even or a vacation?

When I worked as an engineer at GE, we were in a hiring phase and the VP of Engineering called me in his office and said if Ben is a 9/10 and Harold a 6/10, we need to hire Harold. Harold is black. Harold worked out well for the couple years he stayed at GE, but we made a decision based on skin color and not on merit, work experience, etc. That is racism. In this instance, diversity mandated by GE executives was racist against the white guy who also applied for the job. This is a practice done by large corporations which by very definition is racist.

The solution for this is not to identify too much with anything for example language, region, race, gender, body, role of work, etc.., if you have an identity then there can be bias, both are directly proportional the more identity you have the more bias you might show. One more solution is to have limited necessary identification and be conscious or Identify with something that connects all or common to all, like in a company identify with the company. Better If we have an Identification with cosmos like some yogic gurus as everyone , every thing will be a subset of cosmos then we won't be showing any bias towards not only humans but also other lifes and entities in the cosmos.

What if she was wearing the dress for appraisals. What if she was using her Madrasi bonding. (and no problems with asking if she was pregnant?) What if the younger guy was taking too many breaks (looked like it regardless of his age)? And what if the "handy able" guy says it wouldn't be a problem but ends up being one? I guess we don't factor or care.

@@hh-qy8zt said like a truly woke person, though if you actually spend more than 2 seconds thinking about it. Assumptions are literally how we survive in the world. Assumptions based on limited available data, then you form a theory, test it out, if it works then good and if not then you're back to step one. Also, fun fact, women do dress nicely for men and vice-e-versa. Ask yourself, what does dressing nice means? Dressing nice -> Looking good, Good -> Objectively Attractive within the socieally agreed bounds -> Attractive to the opposite gender Now some idiots will say, women dress up to compete with other women. Okay and what exactly do you base attractiveness/looking good on. What is the objective scaling gor the criteria? People who say things like i don't dress to look good for men are either lying to themselves or haven't thought about the feminist talking points for more than 2 seconds

There's an unconcious bias at the end of this video: nobody can teach the boss a lesson, lol. Don't you think the boss shutting the guy and saying "I know what I did" just reinforce the idea that a leader can't be actively lectured or questioned? That by the simple fact they are "the boss" that means 1. They can't be lectured because rank 2. They are quick learners, so smart and powerful that actually can stop you to actively address what's going on with them. And that's an unconscious bias by itself.

See the woman is looking good , some people feel she is doing this to impress someone. It may be true may be false. What you can do to overcome it? - Dress premium, wear expensive dress not to feel weak - Talk with anyone looking at their eyes, direct gaze. - When a woman is walking, say she is using the heal effect, walking dominantly making sound with her heels, 👠, as a man walk with your head high up and don’t look at her, remember she is a stranger, someone from office you don’t know, we don’t talk to people we don’t know generally right. Don’t look at her. That’s how you break the heel effect. - say you know her, then also you can break the heel effect, say hey, girl_name, good morning, how are you, everything fine, great, enjoy life, say it loudly, everyone should look at you around you, she will say nothing or let’s say she said something, say Okay and move your head up and down loudly . And go in your own way. Believe me you just destroyed that heel effect. - Always study hard so that you don’t depend on promotion yet you can give exams and switch positions. - and walk with a thought, I need to go to travel to some foreign lands maybe I can talk a leave on Saturday or Monday, so I have 3 days. - No principle nothing can stop you, if you follow these.

Imagine two Jewish children sitting in the back of their 3rd grade classroom in 1935 Nazi Germany... while the teacher says, "And now class, we're going to talk about the wonderful Arian race and how the Jews are our nation's eternal misfortune." The two girls nervously look at each other like, 'this aint good.' Now fast forward to modern times. Imagine two white boys sitting in the back of their 3rd grade classroom in a Detroit public school... while the teacher says, "And now class, we're going to talk about the wonderful black race and how white people are responsible for all their misfortune." The two boys nervously look at each other like, 'this aint good.' But Conservatives are the Nazis, right?

Rory Flower 1 second ago One of the first things I would ask somebody teaching unconscious biased training is, do you think that you have less unconscious bias than the students in the unconscious bias class?. If she answers no, I would then ask her how she came to that conclusion, and she would not have an answer for that, as it would signify a bias on her part that she believed that she had less unconscious bias without a tangible reason why. This would then cause cognitive dissonance on her part as she would essentially be negating the whole point of her teaching unconscious bias in the first place. If she answered yes or that she didn't know, to my question, then I would ask her what the point of teaching people about unconscious bias in the first place, as she is clearly as much in the dark as everybody else, as her immediate assumptions come from a place of unconscious instinct and therefore there isn't the awareness to constantly know when you are being biased, or even how valid the assumption or bias is in objective terms. The fact that somebody teaching the class would signify that they had moral power over those being taught, and that they are somehow more fair and objective is immoral. How would the teacher know all that in the first place about themselves and others, if a large percentage of beliefs and thoughts are unconscious to begin with, it negates the whole assumption that these trainers are in any way moral arbiters, as there is no way of ever knowing that is true based on the very logic they present, which is fundamentally flawed, their own logic can be used to discredit the very basis for having this training in the first place. By their own arguments and logic, the teachers of these courses are unconsciously biased, by assuming that certain people will have unconscious bias, and assuming they can look into other peoples unconscious and knowing their biases whilst lecturing them about something that is beyond immediate conscious perception, why are you training somebody out of a bias, that by definition you have as well, which is unconscious, and negates the whole point of the training as you would just be as unaware of your biases as the next person.

KSA or DIE. If you’re a government worker or a veteran that has applied for a government job your qualifications are based upon KSA = Knowledge, Skills, Ability. DIE = Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (Equity is not the same as Equality) does nothing to prove an individual’s Knowledge, Skills and Ability to do the job. If a company feels compelled to add a DIE hiring manager or change their company logo to rainbow colors to pander to the LGBTQ group or DIE group, it’s perceived as patronizing and thus that company may have had prior discriminatory hiring practices. Bottom line…any public or private company that discriminates against a person’s race, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, economic status, veteran status or disability is in violation of State and Federal employment laws. KSA or DIE. Teach your children well.
