Watching Turin play the Americans always reminds me of Rocky Balboa running up the steps... gets anyone pumped

Few more tips: - you don't have to click on a point to capture it, just move men inside the circle, even 1 foot in will do - go for as much early capture points as possible, even if you lose some in the next minure or two, extra resources are always welcome - pathfinders guarding the amunition was kinda a waste, should've gone for fuel so enemy won't have it and you do - harrasing enemy points and de-caping them is valid strategy to deny resources, just send one haggard pathinders and if you encounter someone, retreat&repeat - you can shift+click to queue multiple points to capture one by one - spamming mines at one place is not effective, they'll all explode at once if one near gets hit. It's better to safe ammo for upgrades or arty/air support. Mines are good at chokepoints or obvious paths but in general are not that great - sniper are not really thing to go in the late game, they require too much micro and are not really effective againsts infantry blobs, they're more meant to pick-off weapon teams and single squads early game - is not really worth going heavy on light tanks, they underperform late game and are too squishy to keep the alive, 1 or 2 should be enough or even skip them entirely and just go for better ones - always keep your tanks at full health, they're too vaulable to lose - did have have 2 shermans indeed, but different ones. The buldozer one is 105mm gun designed for infatry/buldings, while the other one was regular medium tank somewhat effective against all targets Great game btw, you did well and I think we all see the improvements on your gameplay as you learn the game!

Heads up, Turin, but the Dozer variant of the Sherman uses a different gun to the regular Sherman. Dozers have a howitzer that's useful for blobbed infantry, while the regular Shermans have a 75mm cannon that's more useful against light/medium armour. The gun upgrade probably only affects the regular Shermans and replaces the 75mm with a cannon more suitable for medium/heavy armour instead. (can't say for sure, as I haven't played the test, but I'd assume that's how it works)

Just a tip. Remember to choose the ability USF units get at veterancy one! Some of them are very useful. ( I see you did that later :D) Another tip. Try not to place mines too close as they can do a chain reaction and waste ammo.

I think the Field Repair is an active ability, but did not see you use it once. Apparently it will auto-repair vehicles(once activated) if they are out of combat and stationary. Could have saved a bit of micro and ensured that your vehicles were at better health.

Hey turin you should get two light tanks max and then tech up and get bigger stronger tanks because as you’re wasting fuel on the light tanks your enemies will usually be getting bigger tougher tanks out that your light tanks will do nothing against. You could’ve bought a Sherman with all the fuel you used on light tanks

I was a US Armor officer, so I prefer playing armor, but agree that I miss the air strikes too, so I usually build the air support tower in the base. Fully upgraded, it gives more variety of air strike runs than the other individual battlegroup abilities

Great vid. Really enjoying watching you learn and play COH3. Remember Chaffes are light tanks and can't slug it out toe-to-tow with bazooka infantry or medium tanks, but they are good against enemy light infantry. You have two different Shermans. The ones with the dozer blade are anti-infantry and anti-building, but not good against tanks. The one without the dozer blade is good against tanks.

The snipers are just so fun to see, even if it strains the micro.

@Turin it is good to send troops out early to capture where you want to establish as your front line then back cap your points closer to base with less combat important units like engineers or scouts etc.

You need to get a custom skin for your Sherman that has "Wookie" on the cannon's barrel and your mullet/sunglasses persona poking out of the commander's hatch.

Quick tip sniper: attack move! This will tell the sniper to move to a positon, but the moment he see's a target he will stop and attack (max range)

If I, as a vet with more than 3k hours on coh2 mp alone, may give u a hint, try not to move tanks/vehicles as 1 group, move them as individuals only. Always. It only creates chaos, and moments where relics weird pathing gets even worse. Also you will get more used to moving single tanks out of harms way while others can still keep up the fight. Plus, by moving them individually you are more likely to end up more spread out which will help u get better angles on enemy tanks sides and rear.

I definitely see the improvement from previous games, and in such a short time too. Keep up the good work. 👍

send riflemen followed by machine gun crew supported by mortar crew to forward capture points early in the game, but you would want to capture points close to base using engi's and move outwards or else you are trading resource for initiative and often will be punished really hard for the tradeoff when you are up against harder opponents.

Those bulldozer Shermans look like they fire a kind of HE mortar round, they were mopping up buddy's AT infantry like the standard Sherman could never manage.

forward healing stations helped me when I noticed I was retreating often. Kept my units strong and near the front line

Save vehicles with micro reverse control. Pathfinding is not your friend.

I've noticed across several of your videos that you habitually passed over upgrading your Greyhounds and Shermans with .50 cal MGs. Not sure if you're so focused on checking all your units (b/c your task-switching is supremely constant), or if you prefer not to for some reason. Those .50 cals can really add some extra damage on enemy infantry. Esp with tanks that have more armor penetration guns (76mm, etc) and less explosive effect, the .50 cal helps keep some anti-infantry capability.

I think the airborne style is the most fun to watch, I really like the infantry heavy playstyle with Para dropped machine guns and bombardments and stuff

This is probably a silly question, but is their friendly fire from infantry? around @18:42 your machine gun seemed to be firing into both friendly and enemy forces.

It seems as Turin haven't used self repair even once while using a lot of vechincles, absolutely mad lad.

I seem to recall that tanks are capable of running over infantrymen.

You can shift capture points, if memory serves from coh2.

Hopefully the success of this game leads to a new C&C Generals game.

Turin I have a question. Have you been able to see if manpower posts that have resource cache actually increase in production?

You know you can just press the tabs above the unit controls for production, right? You don't have to zoom all the way back to base and click the buildings.

Space out the landmines. That way 1 trigger does not set all of them off at the same time.

To be honest assault doctrine and seek and destroy are pretty based if you have pretty good tank destroyers like an easy 8

One of the things that always annoyed me about COH2 was that the tanks machine guns somehow dont suppress infantry.

You're m4 shermans have the ability to be upgraded to be an easy 8 since you have the armor core doctrine

GG Turin! When you are playing armor you need to have some engineers just for repair duty only and have em right behind those tanks. And also never forgetti to equip the big tanks with 50 cals they really shine with it. PS And also m4 105 isnt really a sherman tank its an infantry support weapon/artillery and does very poorly against armor you need to take that into consideration when battling enemy armored decks.

I'm sad that RTS are in the state they are in. I played this exact game twice before. Feels bad to not support an RTS as an RTS fan. But I just can't anymore. Endless Germans vs usa / brits, again. Over and over. I can see so much potential, but almost nothing got improved upon in so many years. 😔

Nice attempt trying to crush infantry by running your vehicles over them. Sadly, that has not been implemented with CoH 3. At least, not yet.

coh3 content is so interesting to watch

I lost interest in Total War WH with the 3rd game and pretty much stopped following the channel. Have been looking at some CoH 3 stuff recently, and the Turin video popped up. Feels good to be back.

I still struggle to see any improvements over coh2 in this. That includes the much less realistic and cheaper looking visuals and animations aswell as the mechanics or scale of coh3. Any hints?

Damn, what little ive seen of this game, I cant get over how trash the graphics are. It looks faded, old, out dated and just bad. Watching the videos, I can barely see your infantry, they look like ghosts....like they are transparent...

After watching fair bit of CoH3 and spending unreasonable ammount of time on CoH2 I don't really see the point of this game.
