Today, I am going to implement an enemy AI which follows a patrolling path. The path will be defined using a spline component and we can modify the path as we like. Enemy will continue to follow the defined path back and forth continuously. The AI system will be based on behavior trees.

how did you make the ``toggle run`` node to appear? Please would you tell the video showing the step to make this node available? It is probably a step you did before to make it available. One suggestion to your videos, when needing a step from a previous video, please tell us the link for the other video, because we have to look for a little piece of information that is not clear where to find and this takes too much time and frustration. Other than that, great tutorials man ! thanks!

well hes doing a whole series, if u join in any mid episode, how do u expect it to work out? just think about it, and its also a pain for him to go through each episode and find out where he implemented it

Really cool tutorial but did I miss why you changed from your own created world to this asset? Do you plan to stay on that asset or do you switch back to the old world? In my opinion it would be better to stay on the old map or do you have specific plans that only work on this asset?

you can use target points as well instead of a spline and then loop around them in the behaviour tree task, it's much simpler

I'm still learning behavior trees. can you explain it a little more. because I didn't understand it

@@CodeLikeMe Sure, up in "Modes" to the right type in "target points". 1) What you could do is for your enemy character assign an array of type target points. 2) Place the target points into the map so in your case you can have one right near the end of the patrol and one back to the beginning. 3) in your Behaviour tree you use a blackboard to set the location of the target point and modulus to iterate through them so once you reach the end of the array it goes back to the beginning. 4) Move character to location of target point. 5) all of this goes in a sequence with a lower priority than chasing the character (Remember the branch most left has highest priority so make sure if is not the first, also you can have a decorator in the sequence to make sure only upon the condition that you're not in attack mode do you patrol). Hope that helps, let me know if you need more clarity if i have time i might be able to make an example for you

Movement glitch? Sometime when My AI walk patrol they stop moving for while, looks like have random wait time.. Im sure I follow the tutorial and i dont miss something :(

there is no toggle run node showing in the event graph of patrolling

You have to setup that through an interface, which I did earlier in the series
