My theory is that he's actually his son, Charles Jr. His father died never finding the bird and Jr inherited the blimp and his obsession. But since he never had the spirit of adventure like his father, he only cared about the fame and fulfillment from completing his father's legacy, he was hostile and then murderous after going crazy in isolation.

Adamasutojr AJR he might just recycle collars. Perhaps he keeps a set amount of mature dogs with voice collars and when one elder dog dies or is no longer useful, he takes that collar and puts it on another. Therefore he'd only have to modify the voices one time.

@John Kubik Eye colors can change shades, but not to completely different colors unless you have something like head trauma (which would usually cause only one eye to change color, if it does anything at all).

ironic phrasing but it does hold some truth, blue at least in humans is one of the lighter eye colors so even in greyscale it can be fairly obvious if someone had brown or not and the other possible colors are a lot less common

@@gnamp the color may be gone but if the photo is good enough you can still get a decent idea of the intensity and contrast and most humans draw from a fairly limited pool of colors so unless its something like green, grey or a vibrant blue which are all rare colors its a good assumption that light colors in well kept old photos may show the typical pale blue. yes it could be someting else but if its someone who is well know it would already be known that they have an odd color. so yes the photo by itself cant determine much of anything, it is still possible to determine with some accuracy though this is usually a moot point since you would already know the eye color of the individual you are trying to examine so its only any good for cases like this where the possibility of a double are in consideration. also i dont know if this can be applied to this case specifically since i had it running background so i didnt see the photo being displayed

@@nickolaswilcox425 If the colour is gone- the colour isn't there. You don't need to see it to know this. One could no more distinguish dark blue from brown in a black and white photograph. No colour information is present. End of story. Assumptions like that are risky at the best of times but are absolutely ridiculous in this case.

I think (taking the videos idea) that the orgianal charles was to old to look for Kevin, a adventure who admired charles stumble across his hero. Charles told this man about kevin and died soon after. So the adventure took his name and continued the search. So his backstory would be his own not the original charles..... but im going off of nothing.

But there’s no evidence to show that muntz was married though. But I am willing to believe it was his brother impersonating him and it was him that wanted to finish the job his older brother could never finish because he died and he would’ve found his body. So he decided to embody and pretend to be his brother. If he wasn’t pretending to be his brother he would’ve said “and they wouldn’t believe him” instead of “and they wouldn’t believe me”

It could be, maybe Charles had a brother who was 15-22 or a few more years younger. Yeah it's a stretch but it's possible, especially if Charles' mother gave birth to him at a very young age.

The kid is actually Carls guardian angel (in the form of a child as that was also something Carl and Ellie wanted deeply in life that never got to happen. A young scout escorting an elderly man to his final destination. His final life long dream to come true is meeting Charles. The man who brought Ellie and Carl together in the first place.
