Uploading Your Own IRs to Nux Solid Studio 

Yep! The Cerberus was my first introduction to NUX and that thing is very impressive.

Tbh I'd say Torpedo Cab M is on a different level feature wise, but it does also have a steeper learning curve. Both units sounded good in my use, so I'd say it depends what you need and whether you prefer more "analog" user interface or don't mind using pedals with displays.

Yeah it allows headphone practice or using just your pedalboard live. I've done that few times and it worked great. :)

@@georgeirisarri4371 Solid Studio uses regular 9v, I power it with 1Spot Pro with separate isolated outputs.

You can get both free and paid impulse responses from bunch of places, for example Lancaster Audio and upload them to the pedal via usb.

According to NUX it's a room reverb.

Hmm, it should save it automatically. Are you turning the knobs to exactly same position as it was before? Because cab and mic knobs + mic position switches all function as preset slots. If this is what you do, then I suggest checking if there's an update to the unit, might be a software bug. Hope this helps!

CatPick Studios First of all, I really like your videos, no BS just what I like to hear and see. So, my question is: Is any knob combination acting as a preset slot and you can load your wav files on it, because it’s not clear to me even from the manual? If not, I don’t get why, because if you shot an IR, than it works this way. I’ll get this pedal tomorrow or so, because I really impressed of it’s 0.7ms respond time. @@Gy.Hoffmann Thanks! My answer is yes: All the mic selections + cab selections + mic positions function as a preset where you can upload your own IR. I think that results in 128 available preset if my math is correct.

was just hoping it could do midi like the torpedo cab.. then you could easily have couple sound options without turning knobs in a live situation.

Is the IR you used the correct bit depth? I don’t remember what Solid Studio wants to use but you can find that in the manual. That could be the issue.

'ms' refers to milliseconds. The bigger number, the higher the resoltuion of the capture is. While 500ms might have more detail in it from a technical perspective, I'm not sure most people can even hear the difference. Higher resolution IR files also introduce more lag to the signal.

Thanks! Have you downloaded all the latest versions of both the app and also updated the pedal itself? If that doesn't help I suggest taking the pedal back to where you bought it. Hope this helps.

Hi, it was a firmware bug. They fixed this in a matter of days after i contacted them, quit impressive customer support, thanks

i think you do it wrong, i've been there. 1. Connect your NUX Solid Studio to your Mac or PC computer using a Micro-USB cable (any usb cable will work fine) (power dc unplug)/Do not connect your power DC 2. Run “NUX DFU Updater” 3. Keep holding down both foot-switches first, then/and plug in your power supply( 9V DC Negative Center), release both foot-switches until you see the pedal is connected. 4. Select the new firmware .bin file 5. Click “Start update” button 6. During updating process, both LED indicators will keep flashing and once the progress is done both LED indicators will stay on. 7. Close “NUX DFU Updater” 8. UnPlug Power Supply and Micro- USB Cable from the Pedal. 9. Hook the Pedal to your pedal board again and try out the new features and tones.

I couldn't find a factory reset option but you could try updating the firmware, which resets the presets and settings.

@@CatPickStudios I've already tried that no luck. I updated the firmware the ir I've Imported still there firmware didn't erase the preset it still exist. Thanks for helping me out

@@CatPickStudios yeah it really sounded like what im looking for, both pedals in fact. I have a Laney VC30 so that i want to use for recording but its too loud, so the NUX studio would really work i think.

One guy instructed me that some of the micro USB cables are actually charge only. So I would go to a store and ask for a cable that also transfers data. Two of my 4 cables didn't work either, looks like they are charge only as well.

Thanks Vladimnir..., yes I know this fact. anyway I don't understand what is happening here, because my Samsung phone transmits data with each of this 2 cables to the computer. I have sent an email to Nux support. It also could be a defective unit They should include an USB cable in the box. (195 € - not enough money for a USB cable inside ?) .....

Well I mentioned in the Solid Studio demo that I also think it should ship with a USB cable. You really want to use that with the pedal and that's why it's stupid it doesn't ship with one.

i will leave here a message telling what was the problem, I still don't know if it's a defective unit or not. Let's see what Nux support say about it, thanks for your help and videos !
