This is a cool chat, I like seeing the podcast format WITH guitars in your hands to explain things too.

Really appreciate the work you guys are putting in to the production of these videos. They are well paced without being rushed and the lighting, etc is absolutely on point 👌

I could watch/listen to these kind of conversations forever. So much to take in (and attempt to learn).

Love the podcast format! Hope you continue to share your wisdom! :) but on a sidenote: i find it sick that you two are able to play awesome leadlines without learning vocabulary (in this case "licks"), but instead rely on "small" patterns and your awareness of the fretboard.

hey dude thank you for the kind words (episode 2 just dropped on josh's channel btw). I think you might be miss interpreting my approach a bit. I have definitely spent some time learning a lot of vocabulary from other musicians through transcription. However what I like to do afterwards is breakdown these lines and extrapolate motifs or ideas/concepts from them. that way I can apply these concepts in many different contexts.

Why does Joseph always control the podcast and lead it when you’re a more skilled composer producer and player lmao
