My hair is 4b/4c and I love the tangle teezer. I use the one for curly hair, the burgundy one. It detangles my hair faster than anything else. I wash my hair about twice a week, sometimes more often. I dont want to use more than half an hour in my hair (except maybe drying my hair), the tangle teezer is the only hair tool that allows me to do my hair fast.
I was super skeptical when I decided to try a brush for detangling because I always thought they were for straighter textures. So it was between this and the Wetbrush, ended up going with the wetbrush. Never looked back since, it cut my detangling time in half. Don't even touch a widetooth comb lol. Even got one for my mother, who used to dread detangling. She calls it the magic brush 😹
Hi! You have such beautiful hair and I want you to keep it. I’ve seen you tubers do too much that they wouldn’t normally do and end up damaging their hair. Do what works for you and people will still watch because it works. Sincerely, A concerned observer
I really like Trader Joes Tea Tree Conditioner. It has good slip to me and it's affordable. I stopped using the tangle teaser. It kind of snagged on my hair. Right now I am using the shower wet brush without the padded backing. Good video.
I never had split ends when I was relaxed. But after being natural and using the tangle teezer, I got bad split ends. I have mostly 4a with 4b mixed through and some 3c/3b mainly in the back. After cutting off 2 inches, I mainly finger detangle and recently returned to using tools only during the pre-poo. I feel it gives more breakage than wide tooth combs.
Yes I love it as well but I keep thinking am I crazy but I noticed an insane amount of single strand knots after using it and I finger detangled before using. Didn’t see split ends but like 3 single strand knots on a hair strand! I have extremely naturally coiled hair. So I think it’s this brush but not sure. Not going to keep testing lol
In my experience, natural hair has the tendency to get more splits than relaxed hair. Relaxed hair has less cuticle to see visible splits. When I was relaxed, I over processed and re-relaxed all my hair each time for 12 years. And I never moisturized or DCed.My hair was severely damaged but I had zero splits. But 6 months being natural and I had splits.
I slightly finger detangle my hair and then I use the Tangle Teaser. I go easy on the ends. You see your hair in the brush because it throughly detangles the shed hair.
i have type 4 hair, when i use the tangle teaser it unfortunately results in my hair getting more tangled than usual at the end of the week. i used it with a lot of products and routines and it always happened. i dont know why my hair does not like these things.
@@cockyretrospect4085 Please try to use the tangle teaser in the shower under running water. Completely saturate your hair and apply conditioner then use the tangle teaser starting from the ends and work your way up. I usually start in the back of my head parting my hair from ear to ear with my hands as my entire head has been saturated with water and conditioner applied all over and throughout with my hands. Then start on the left back section with the tangle teaser..starting from the ends of hair and working my way up. Once tangles have been removed I move on the other sections moving closer and closer to the front/ top of my head. Once all of the have has been detangled I brush through my hair from top to bottom smoothing my hair down while evenly distributing the conditioner. AMAZINGLY SMOOTH in 10 mins and I have long thick hair bra strap length!! I have not experienced split ends or breakage due to the use of my Tangle Teaser...in fact I have less breakage than when I previously used a wide tooth comb RIPPING through my hair no matter how slow or gentle I tried. Just try it for yourself!
Hi there, Great vlog and like you, I always use a wide teeth comb to deal with my hair tangles during wash day. I guess, if you get the brush sticking more in your hair, I would make the hair more wet (add more water and conditioner) and work with even smaller sections. I'm not sure how I feel about spending 1 hour to go through this process when I could use my fingers to detangle my hair faster if my hair is in a bad state. So I guess, I'm in 2 minds and not convinced about using this product on my hair yet. Maybe best to try it on my wigs instead of my natural hair and see how it goes. Also, not a question you can answer, but if you want you can try, I would like to understand the science behind the comment you made in the vlog about the tangle teezer giving more split ends? I can only deduce this phenomenon to hair being ripped off as per the detangling process or the person's hair having the habit of knotting more that the brush gets stuck and only your hands can help remove it before you can use a tool again. They maybe other explanations for this, so it would be good to get reliable information on this if anyone knows what would be behind this. Thank you,
Hey! I'm truly unsure, I've tried looking it up and nothing. I guess it just didn't agree with her strands. Plenty of people who are 4c use it and love it but she just didn't. The teeth of the teaser are pretty fine compared to other detanglers so I'm sure that's mainly the issue but I'm not 100% certain
