Using the LM386 KiCaD Part or Dealing with KiCAD ErrType(3)

In this video I answer the question as to why I didn't use the stock LM386 KiCad library part in the first KiCad tutorial video and I show you how to use it if you prefer.
If you are not careful when using the LM386 schematic parts, it could produce a error called ErrType(3). It pops up when a part expects to see power but isn't seeing it.

It seems that the positive and negative terminals of the op amp is switched. Would it still work like this?

.I have Mono plug (TS) jack connector to take output signal from the amplifier so which device (in kicad) should i use to take output signal from the amplifier.

You'll either have to make your own footprint for the connector, or you can do what I do. I usually put two holes in the board for the output and then run 2 wires from these two holes.

Good tip. Would be good to edit the battery part, and put a bug report into kicad devs on launchpad so they can fix it. Also, if you download the current build of kicad cvpcb is gone. Would be good to see a video from you on how footprints are assigned in eschews now, etc.

Cvpcp is not gone, just working differently. Doesn't generate a separate file now, but rather is stored in the schematic file. It's still used to associate a symbol with a footprint.

+Softrix Technology The PCB calculator just has a few helpful scripts and charts to help while building a pcb. If you don't see something you recognize from the tab, then it's probably not going to be helpful to you. I've used the attenuation part before to help me match impedances in an RF circuit.
