@valtoton2982 I saw that one. Reminds me of some of the episodes of “Roseanne” if you’ve ever watched the show. Older Becky was into clothes, makeup and boys, whereas Darlene wasn’t and fell into a depression that had her wearing all black all the time. In the Dougherty family, you see the “mini me” Bree always dolled up and Zoey doing her own thing. The thing I love about Zoey is she is a nonconformist and doesn’t want any part of the cookie cutter world Alisha has created. She’s at an age where she is trying to find her footing in life. Being forced to participate in this dog and pony show goes against her grain. Would that she might benefit from a mother who could help guide her and offer more support. I mean, Alisha has actual degrees in this field. You’d never know it.

I think it comes back to trauma and food insecurity. She got them the mini fridges “so they don’t have to worry about anyone eating their special foods and snacks.” That might be why they are waking up to sneak food and worried about certain snacks going away downstairs/other kids getting to them first.

@@valtoton2982 CPS has been in and out of this house through out the years. They are also probably watching her video's. They are not finding any thing that is illegal, or that is abusive. We only see a snipit of what she put's online. Her children are well loved. They receive gifts like I did growing up. Birthday's and Christmas was when I received the most. Reason being, I did not receive any thing else through out the year. Back to school, was another time my parent's would go big. Easter was on the small side. We went on vacations every five years, thats another time my parent's went big. So yes, some children are treated with big gifts, and parents spend a lot of money on Birthday's, and Christmas.

They AREso sweet, polite and always thankful! Alicia has never mentioned any therapies for Patrick, but at the very least Bree gets to go to horseback riding therapy. I think she leaves it up to school programs. It's heartbreaking that they had another brother that she chose not to take because he required too much! So sad how she claims to be one thing for praise, yet has separated multiple sibling sets for her own benefits!

Same. I've already put my foot down hard with my husband when we've talked about electronics with our kids. They are still too young right now but pre-programmed phones all the way.

@@sandraabrahamsson6677 toxic is the best word to describe it. There were nights I would sit up and bawl my eyes out because I never felt good enough. Always comparing. Always seeing everyone else have everything. It became an obsession.

I was the same as you and found DCP and saw it for what it really was. Like you I felt guilty for all those views but at least we now know its child exploitation and don't give these people the time of day.

I know somebody that had to do that to her kid because he had a propensity to get up and wander off in the middle of the night and Alusha has said multiple times about his condition and more than once that she needs to do that at night. While she was cleaning their bedroom she talked about it. I honestly thought she was making something like that up but I googled what she called it and it’s a real thing. I truly don’t think she was lying about that. Unless she truly has Munchhausen syndrome.

You can check the list of ingredients of identical products in the US vs Germany. You'll sh!t bricks once you realize what's BANNED in so many other countries in the world. Sure, our food isn't that bright/colorful, not that sweet or "tasty". But at least it's not full of carcinogenic poison

I used to think parents were responsible until my special needs child doubled his weight in less than a year. He saw the prescribing team monthly so they were well aware. He literally was fighting me trying to drink ketchup when we had eliminated so many foods from the house. The doctor viewed it as lesser of evils. The ketchup incident was where they finally changed him to a different med and we have been working on his weight for two years. It's not always as simple as offering better choices.

@@AmysAttitude Agree. She was overweight (and still is), but it’s genetic (in my opinion), from both sides of our family. I had my stomach stapled about 42 years ago to lose weight. Now, I’m (grossly) underweight for unknown reasons that started 4 years ago. I can’t find clothes small enough for me, unless I go to the girls section, but they are very uncomfortable for me. My blood sugar levels get dangerously low at times and I would NEVER recommend surgery for weight loss, no matter how much one was bullied, made fun of and given absolutely horrible nicknames by school children and classmates. It isn’t worth it by any means since I can’t seem to gain weight now, even eating lots of carbs and high calorie foods. But our children eat a variety of foods that are healthy. There are very, very limited foods that I will eat (nothing green at all, no mushrooms because I don’t like the texture of foods like that). I cook healthy foods for our children, grandchildren, (my parents when they lived with us before they passed away), and my husband, because they love/loved all types of foods and I’m so very proud and happy they all eat healthy. Although our daughter eats very healthy, good and a variety of foods she just can’t lose weight. She exercises, but it doesn’t seem to help. She go to the gym, runs, walks her two 150 pound dogs, plays sand volleyball almost every day, and sometimes several times a day, it just doesn’t help. But, she still, to this day, reads the ingredients on every single food item she purchases/buys. I even made, and still make, homemade potato chips and tortilla chips for our children, my parents and my husband so I could control the ingredients, calories, etc. She does drink alcoholic beverages and I don’t, and never have, but I don’t think that’s the issue. I still think it’s genetics. I love her so much, it breaks my heart that she can’t lose weight, even when she diets. But she’s eating healthy and in moderation, and I’m glad she does. It’s just something that’s uncontrollable for her. I just pray that as she gets older, it will turn around for her. Everyone loves her, she has a fantastic group of friends, and, now that she’s an adult, no one ridicules her, for which I’m extremely thankful for.
