This meditation is designed to allow you to find peace with past issues or problems. Holding on to resentment is like holding a stinging nettle. You can do it, but it is uncomfortable.
This can lead to your vagal response to be trapped within the sympathetic state (fight flight) or the parasympathetic state (freeze). Harmony and balance are key.
We can even forgive those who are longer alive. By forgiving you take back some personal sovereignty and open the body to a little ease.
There may have been terrible things done to you in the past, and forgiveness may seem like a bridge too far. However, would you not like to see if it is possible to move on a little?
By forgiving we also trigger the #vagusnerve as the nervous system moves to the #parasympathetic state as the body finds a little ease.
