No. His first hit was “Gloria” with his band Them, and he wasn’t 15. Morrison was into his 20’s before “Brown Eyed Girl” came out.

I'm not sure if "still going strong" is entirely accurate. By all accounts his recent album is something of a car crash, full of mithering and moaning, and including song titles like "Why Are You On Facebook?"

Van the man a perfectionist you have just scratched the surface; here are some recommendations: "Wavelength", "Stranded", ""In The Garden" ; and for a real treat "Don't Look Back" by John Lee Hooker & Van Morrison" Someone mentioned his music is somewhat "Celtic" maybe try his song "Celtic New Year" . You can go deep into his albums to find many great songs. He just released another album this week.

Good call, this one. He's been around since the 60s so it's a deep rabbit hole ! Try "Bright side of the road " for a real rarity... a straightforward happy song which isn't cheesy ! Or the album version (from "Into the music") of "And the healing has begun for a real passionate delivery.
