Just wanted you to know that because of you and all your helpful tips I was able to get into ketosis in 36 hours. And I have lost 4lbs in 4 days. There isn't alots of vegan ketos out there so I really appreciate your channel.

I've been on Keto for 4 months. That is not a fat bomb and that is just what she eats on a keto diet. I agree that dessert was disgusting/ and that is a polite responce. also the wrap was gross. I take a pic of every meal I do for my friends, they all say it's not even a diet, it's how we all eat. I just don't add bread, pasta and other starches. 4 months and 20.3 kg down. I'm size 6/8 depending on the brand. still got 3.5 kg to go to be the way I was before my first kid. oh yes- wanna keep ur great body- don't have kids.

@@Lilyrockstarr You are not including all the calories from the pure coconut fat. 5-6 tbsp in the shake alone, at 115/ tbsp. A whole avocado is 325. Plus more oil on the morning salad at 120/tbsp and nuts. Plus tahini, twice . Plus tempeh, and yet more oil and the fat bomb, with additional oil. Do the math. Hardly a low calorie "diet."

A large avocado can be like 300+ calories which is like 1/5 of a sedentary woman’s calorie budget for the day so using a whole half for only part of one meal is fine but is definitely a large contributor of calories and needs to be used mindfully

It doesn’t matter if it’s “half a fuckng avocado” or anything else, you can’t just knock back 150 calorie components of meals mindlessly without factoring it into your daily calorie expenditure unless you’re highly active, male, tall, or unless you want to gain weight. There’s a big difference in whacking some broccoli or tomatoes on your salad vs avocado or nuts, which is what she means. Avocados are calorie dense, which is totally fine but must be accounted for.

You literally NEED to cook them for them to be healthy for you. They actually contain a chemical that is poisonous but is destroyed by heat. I've been reading about the amazing benefits of mushrooms and am trying to include them more in my diet but I hate the taste of them cooked so have to hide them like a child 😂

Acidic and spicy foods were definitely something I switched to when going keto to stave the crave. After about a week and a half, I realized I didn't really have any craving at all. I was keeping my carb intake under 14g per day on ~1600-2000 cal per day. I made a lot of spicy thai soups. Juice of a lime is 7g per a whole lime but its incredible how much flavor even a dash has after your taste palette adjusts. 1 lime is about 4 days of use for me.

Amy Miller xx you could look up what ketosis does to the body and what insulin spikes do. This is definitely not the same as just watching what you eat. But I get it, people are used to their industrial processed foods and what they know and want to stick with it. I am the same until i am convinced. Although I must agree that a Keto diet doesn't have to be so extreme and can be much more diverse.

I am always surprised by how ignorant some of these comments are. Maybe I shouldn’t be by now. Your skin care routine doesn’t need to be too complicated if all of your organs are functioning perfectly with proper hydration, no fatty liver, healthy intestines, and a healthy pancreas which is not overloaded with insulin. Definitely block the negative people and keep on with your videos for those of us who are not afraid of change.

@Fires And Flowers i dont know if you will see this but the fat does give her more energy, one gram of carbs contains 4 calories, however one gram of fat has 9 calories, so your body finds more energy within the fat, however your bodies prefferd energy source are carbs so thats why in keto you lessen your carb intake, so that your body can switch to using the fat as an energy source, dont get me wrong just because your body prefers carbs doesnt mean its the better alternative carbs are acutally the only thing you can completley cut out of your life and be okay afterwards, it isint necessary whats so ever, unlike fat and protein which are both necessary, sorry the i made this a bit long hopefully you understand a bit better?

Keto people actually eat drastically less food on average because fat is way higher calorie than carb Idk why they act like it is so easy to lose weight in keto when imo you have to eat like a bird and intermittent fast every day. That's not why they eat less food.. The body doesn't care about calories, that's just a human thing. They eat less because fat takes longer to digest and thus you 'feel' full for longer and then you learn you weren't really hungry when you used to think you were so you go longer before you eat and then you eat fat again and feel full for 'longer', again. I can eat over four thousand calories a day, sit on my ass and still lose weight. You may say I'm naturally skinny but you'd be wrong. I used to weight 300lbs, I simply learned how the body operates and used it to my advantage. No you're just ignorant and unwilling to try new things. The difference between you and them is that when they eat too many calories in the way of fat they're likely to just excrete it(urination or breathing) because unused ketones cannot be stored in the body, they are converted to acetone and 'excreted'. You on the other hand..if you over eat carbohydrates and don't use that energy you store EVERYTHING. Last year when I was having 4k caloric smoothies each day my body was converting the fat into ketones and excreting what I didn't use, the carbohydrates from the berries was being used to fill up the glycogen I use when 'sleep'. You use your entire supply of glycogen when you sleep for more than three hours, 'you' then have to wake up and 'eat' to 'restore' glycogen so that 'you' can actual move that day. I get up and go to the gym for an hour and then don't eat for six or seven hours, heck I might not eat the whole day. The amusing thing is I can eat as much as I want of anything I want, because my body will use it or excrete it.

Ivy Mazzola the reason keto works for people is because fats are very satiating and hence you do not need very large portion sizes. The loner you stuck with it the more used to hunger cues you will become and it can be very easy to achieve satisfaction.

Emily B definitely check out Thomas DeLauer and Flav city with Bobby Parish. They’re not vegan but the information they offer is very valuable. Thomas DeLauer recommends the vegan keto diet and he has a couple videos on it.

do you guys mix up diets taylored to day to day activities? such as keto one day for heavy wieght training. then a frugivore method on long cardio days. interment fasting with a protein diet on light workout days or rest days. i don't know... it just seems more practical to me.

This is not restrictive eating whatsoever!!! I mean coming from a diet high in carbs you might think so but it's not!!! Please do your research. This diet helped my aunt lose 200lbs and she is not diebetic anymore. So much mental clarity and I have never seen her as active as she is right now. Lots of health professional who recommend the keto diet also say you should be eating tons of vegetables. Look up Dr. Berg's videos. He is awesome and he has done the research. Saturated fat is NOT actually bad!!!! My aunt's blood tests are ALWAYS good!! And I started the diet 2 months ago and I'm not insulin resistant anymore. I didn't use to eat processed foods because that's the way I grew up. No processed food, high carbs, high sugars as well (fruit juices with agave every day) , and lean meats and i felt horrible. I went to the doctor's and found out I was insulin resistant!!!! Oh, also I used to swimm 3x a week. Now I can swimm for longer periods of times, I eat lots of fats and low carbs. We still need the carbs we don't deny that!!! But very low! Also, we don't count the carbs in cruciferous vegetables as we can eat unlimited of them with awesome benefits. If you go to your doctor's they might say Keto is not good! Why? Because, first they haven't done the extensive research, and second because they don't care for your health actually, they want you to take a pill for the rest of your life so that they can keep pocketing the money!!!!! My aunt doesn't take any medication whatsoever and she has been on this diet for 3 years, not regretting anything!!! and I never had to take mine in the first place because I said I wanted to experiment with keto diet and then I'll see. My doctor was really surprised when I went to see him after 2 months and looking at my blood work and told me whatever I'm doing to keep doing it!!! Please please please, do actual research. Not just research from popular "health" websites. Look up actual studies. They are tons out there!

I feel this to be more of an eating disorder in the sense of being extremely strict and controlling with her food, instead of this being a " healthy lifestyle". And yes, Keto itself can be healthy, but because of it's effect on the normal diet; Keto is made tobe a short term diet and then return to the diet followed before, this is when Keto is "healthy". But of course your body your choices, just not to happy to see those extreme controlled diet habits on youtube, as especially young girls are led into eating disorders by following advices like these...

Keto is not specifically intended to be short term. I have epilepsy and ketogenic diets are known to be a method of treatment for epilepsy. So, long term. Healthy.

Keto is not only intended to be temporary. Now it has been shown to have great long lasting effects for those bodies that take to it. Like always, not everyone is made for one specific diet but for those bodies that take to it, it's GREAT

Kaya Elena it’s really not....ive been intermittent fasting/vegan for years. i used to have an eating disorder, that shit used to involve one thing: junk food. i decided to seek therapy and guess what my therapist told me? guess what any doctor will tell you? EAT FRESH FOODS. straight up. If you’re not hungry, DONT EAT! watch Dr. Berg, he’s on youtube and has several degrees and he explains this perfectly. anyways, being vegan/eating non processed foods is a lifestyle choice that doesn’t involve animals suffering, but DOES involve clear skin, loads more energy, and discovery of ways to use all different types of spices and herbs to add flavor to veggies and other dishes. i think processed foods dumb people down, and refined sugar is as addictive as crack. plain and simple, processed foods will literally cause imbalance in your body, and statistics show that our country’s obese population is highest recorded EVER in human history. She is not being “extremely strict”, i swear everyone else is just addicted to the hundreds of additives and chemicals they consume in their processed foods daily and will defend processed foods that damage their bodies and leave a HUGE carbon footprint. y’all are dumb, don’t compare this to an eating disorder in any way. this is the shit that saved me from continuing on with my eating disorder. at the very least, if you don’t agree with it, do your own fuckin research. listen to your fuckin body. if you’re hungry, TRULY hungry, eat. if you’re not and can be satiated with water or a very healthy nutritious salad bowl, what is wrong with that??? what’s wrong with eating salad and fresh greens??! ITS FUCKING HEALTHY. AND FILLING. AND NUTRITIOUS. why are you associating HEALTHY EATING HABITS with an eating disorder? your logic baffles me.

She actually eats an appropriate amount of calories for someone her size. She ate A LOT of fat and that’s high in calories for the amount you’re eating. She said 4-5 tablespoons in that smoothie, that’s 480-600 calories right there. Plus think about all the oil she drizzled on the salad and tahini and avocados. Fat makes you feel full in a smaller amount of food because it’s so very calorically dense

Super high in healthy fats, high sodium, low carb, appears to be low protein. And low calorie. I’m not going to lie I use to eat like this and I was eating less than 1000 calories. Most of the calories came from the fats. and I did maintain a low weight but I was hungry all the time, low energy. I wouldn’t recommend this at all. But I guess it all depends on the person for me personally I couldn’t put myself through that again. But props to you girl.

Which long living population on earth has ever practiced an extremely high carb/processed food diet? It's only in the past few decades that humans have been eating like this. And just look at millennials/Gen Z for the results of consuming a high carb/processed diet since before even birth when they're still in the womb. Children as young as 12 are morbidly obese and have what used to be called adult on set diabetes (they literally had to rename it to Type 2 Diabetes because kids have it as well now). Looking at the current trend of the health of kids and young adults, it's safe to say there's not gonna be long living population on earth that's ever practiced a high carb/processed diet.

High carb is not necessarily processed food. Processed foods are unhealthy. People have been living on complex carbs for millennia: rice, corn, wheat, millet, potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans, lentils, chickpeas. ALL of the Blues Zones eat a high carbohydrate, at least 65% of calories, diet from complex carbs (not sugar). There are NO exceptions. Go and study the Blues Zones where people live the longest on earth. They are: Sardinia in Italy, Nicoya in Costa Rica, Ikaria in Greece, Okinawa in Japan, and Loma Linda in California. They all eat unprocessed high carb plant based diets.

Please tell me you made more than one of those rolls... Those meals.. How many calories? This looks like a starvation diet. I was all gungho about trying it, but now I'm all "... Hmm, low carb sounds good to me! Just general low carb..." Because Keto is a hot mess....

Great vid, any tips for me? Have been on keto for 3 months now (with some fallbacks and cheat days) but more serious now. And just starting out with vegan.. But, I don't eat soy products.. That kinda makes it hard.

Thanks for sharing! I like your meal idea,though I will do it different as you suggested. Thomas recommends Black Coffee without creamer as it kicks u out of keto. Hazelnuts are very inflammatory. Our nuts ought to be soaked n sprouted to reduce inflammation and increase healthy enzymes. Uncooked veggies can be really hard on a sensitive digestive system and cause inflammation.

I am doing omad My salad right now is spinach, kale, cucumber, sometimes pepper and lettuce then I put some nuts, seed, oil 1/4, about 7 olive avocados then drizzle it with olive oil. Then main meal tofu veg with soy pasta. Then I eat berries. Do you think It’s too much fat

This is so useful. I am thinking about going keto vegan. I have been vegan for a year but not healthy. I have been eating junk food. Now I am trying to eat healthily. I am giving up rice and oats and other junk. I am eating quinoa, fruit, veg, seed, nuts, tempeh, bean, pulses and tofu. I probably give high sugar fruit and quinoa soon.

there is absolutely nothing wrong w quinoa or fruits .... plz do your research. ive been vegan for almost 3 years and eating a BALANCED diet made me maintain my weight the easiest and feel the best. there's 000 reason to cut out all carbs

Caffeine insights cortisol, cortisol creates glucose via using protein stores in the liver. Glucose also produces cortisol. So it’s a circle. Then, half the glucose goes to the brain. And overactivates it, until the glucose level goes down and then the brain and body want more. If the glucose production is halted and lessened, the brain can work from energy from ketones and fatty acid energy release, making brain function more stable and less ‘needy’,.

I know. That's why I have trouble transitioning from veggie to vegan--there just don't seem to be a lot of options. And I just don't know if it's reasonable for me to eat in a way I can never sustain. But it is still a goal.

I haven’t watched your other videos, so I’m only talking about this video at the moment...However, this video is SO UNHEALTHY. Especially for those easily influenced through dieting topics saying “you need to measure your food” or “this salad is big” when the salad is TINY. It seems the video can be so harmful and gives off such bad health advice. Eating an ABUNDANCE of fruits, veggies, carbs, etc. is a way of life. Please be careful with your advice towards your large audience.

Mrs Gilliard you need a lot of salt when you do Keto. Sodium of one of the main electrolytes, with potasium and magnesium that need to be very high on this diet/lifestyle.
