The German lessons learned resulted in a reduction of Panzer Battalions and an increase in Motorized Infantry Battalions in the Panzer Divisions [Originally 6:2 changed prior to France to 4:4]. Guderian was seriously embarrassed by this fight.

Great reaction and analysis. The Poles proved to be fierce fighters in WW2 (and throughout history for that matter). The 1939 defense of Warsaw, the Polish resistance, the Jewish defense of the Waraw ghetto, the Warsaw uprising show that they refused to bow to the Germans throughout the war. I highly recommend not only the official music video but also the 2012 Polish Woodstock live performance where 500,000 plus rocked out to Sabaton.

Before I started listening to Sabaton, I had no idea how hard Poland fought in World War II. At school, I think we were more or less taught that Poland was quickly run over and occupied. Another thing that many people do not know is about Sweden's role during World War II. It would be great if you reacted to it. There is a good video you should check out “Could Sweden have withstood a German Blitzkrieg in WW2?” by TIKhistory.

Poland kept fighting Germans until Soviets attacked from the East, that was pretty much known to be a finishing moment for the military that decided to go into covert warfare as it was the only way to continue fighting. You probably know about Polish airmen in Battle of Britain. They were elite and very skilled as their fought superior German aircrafts in Poland on machines that were obsolete, without parts and greatly outnumbered and still shooting down many German aircrafts. So they ran to England and enlisted and to their frustration the British treated them like they were freshmen amateurs. English didn't even know they had elite killers only waiting for the moment they can take a German aircraft down. So imagine their surprise that one squadron of Polish aircrafts practically obliterated Germans every time they fought! 303 was their Squad number.

Really good to see you guys continuing with this channel. In answer to your question about "blitzkrieg"...it is complicated. It is true that in the West, the term came into common usage in regards to the German invasion of Poland...it appears that Time Magazine may have been the first to explicitly refer to the attack as being an example of "Blitzkrieg" in September 1939. However, in terms of the actual military campaign that the Germans waged in Poland, it was mostly a pretty old fashioned infantry/artillery fight...and the Panzers were pretty much evenly distributed as opposed to concentrated in an armored spearhead. The Germans used various parts of their doctrine for maneuver warfare in Poland, so elements of blitzkrieg were being tested, but they had also been testing some blitzkrieg things out in the Spanish Civil War. It really was not until the German invasion of Belgium and the Battle of France in 1940 that what we think of as Blitzkrieg was fully put into operation as part of the military campaign.👍
@melkor3496
@melkor3496 Год назад
Yeah Blitzkrieg was never mentioned as you said by the Germans and was an allied term which was never used by the Germans and they just called it manoeuvre warfare/ Bewegungskrieg. Prussia had always fought like this because they couldn’t handle long wars usually. Their generals were always trained in it and in a way they gave their general more autonomy. Manoeuvre warfare in ww2 style was born out of the stormtroopers tactics of being extremely aggressive and breaking a specific point in the enemy line. This was just transferred from infantry to then armoured warfare.

Yes, Honey Badger called Miodożer in Polish. One of the best animals on the planet. He looks small and cute but is a freaking killing machine and with a bulletproof back and immuniy to poisons :D. Awesome comparison. Przemyslaw chill out, out of all animals this is the most accurate comparison :D. Just check the movie about Miodożer and you will understand why Kapral Wojtek would die to any Miodożer because Miodożer is going for balls when he fights bigger animals. He would basically bit off your sack of balls, good luck continuing fighting without cohones.

and Poland had to fight much more times for their independence sourounded by agresive powers. Actualy Polish army was 4th power during IIWW , Polish pilots had greatest score in Battle of England (Aces in Excile. Sabaton), In every front during IIWW there ware Polish units. Stupid. Its Polish mtemaaticiajs who broke Enigma, Turing get solved problem he had to "just" improved speed of decoding. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qn_BBQEjCxI.html I dont know where this sterotypes of Polish come from. Maybe because not educated workers form Poland who get to USA before and after war (but actualy Hollywod was created by Polsih-Jews ;) ), or Jewish exodus from Poland and thair antypolonizm. Poland was greatest place to live for Jews in Europe, since XV when polish king invited Jews who ware runing from oppression in west europe, so in 1939 Poland has greatest minority of Jews in Europe. Jews politicians spread anty Polish propagand (mostly in USA) before war because thay wanted to take some land of Poland and get authonomy for Jews, they asked for it during Versal in 1919, what finish with Small threaty of versals, they didnt get authonomy but special rights for their own politic in Poland.

There's a fun line from a great channel called habitual linecrosser that gives you an idea of the poles and how the poles are. "We may be a speed bump in the past two conflicts. But this speed bump has teeth now" about how Poland has been buying up American arms ever since joining NATO and wanting make sure their neighbors know nobody can come in and fuck with them without major losses.

Its worth saying that whole that was the point the war formaly started, it had alreddy been going on since 1936 with japan ussr attacking smaler nations and in 1938 when japan start attacking outskirts of british empire. A lot of people dont understand that britan was the largest country ever to exist in 1939, but due to they where attacked both in asia and in europe (well, poland that they had a defencive pact with. They could not bring the whole power of the empire against germany. Japan was also winning being both battle hardened as well as having more recent equpment.

I will say this. You Americans to this day do not know what war is. You have not experienced any war on your own territory. The only war that took place on American soil was the American Civil War. Perhaps that is why you so boldly "defend" peace and democracy by dropping bombs on other countries. Probably if you had experienced in both world wars what the Polish nation experienced, your perception of the world might have changed. You know as much about wars as you do about the Middle Ages. That is, as much as you will read in books. You have not experienced the Middle Ages, you have not experienced wars. You have no idea how the world has been run for millennia.
