@@tysonmaggio6345 these are hoops that go around the driveshaft to stop it falling out if failing / hitting the road flipping the vehicle. These are required for certification for any aftermarket boosted car in New Zealand

Yes being the ss it comes with no big brakes , when we did just the cam package we added the red Brembo 4 piston front brakes but now it’s supercharged it really needs the 6 piston front and 4 piston rear

@@xairperformance3843 yeah seen & been a few cars that are tweaked people even do suspension but seem to forget about stopping & honestly even on stock SS or XR8 brakes are bit whatever atleast put 4 piston on the front then move the front 1s to the rear on a stock job

The factory stoppers on high hp cars always does my head in. Admittedly the brembos on the front are pretty good kit - but still... being able to stop a heavy missile is pretty important.

I hope the owner eventually put some better brakes on that beast. Not that the stock ones were weak, but.. yeah. For those conversion-illiterates, that's 885 hp. Lotsa go for the stock slow....

Thats pretty nice man... Pity you didnt upgrade the brakes as much as the motor & looks but hey, still sounds boss & looks great and would easily run maybe low 10's / high 9's on something like slicks with the right suspension setup........ What diff you running ? Manual or auto ? dont think you showed that & didnt hear anything about a stallie....

Thanks yes it was originally Cammed only so we only did the front Brembo Upgrade. Customer then brought it back to have the whipple 2.9 put on and had planned to upgrade the brakes but it has now been sold due to covid. Its Manual and running stock 3.45 LSD.

Don't know a whole lot about HSVs, but I've seen a bunch with 310 badges on the back. I always assumed that meant cubic inch, but yours says 660 and there's no fucking way that's a 10L engine... Can someone explain what the numbers mean, cuz I've obviously got this wrong.

Its a reference to the power it makes e.g. 317 badge means it should have 317kw, the higher number badges like this on in particular are custom made to suit a certain power of that car itself

Tom yes as Jarryn said below Hsv cars had power badges on the back from factory which is the power output at the Engine in Kw. This car factory standard Ls3 is 304kw at Engine. To convert power at the Rear wheels made on the Dyno We normally allow a 15% driveline loss in a manual (so x 1.15) to covert power back to Engine Power after the mods.
