@@imakefoodhappen above 40 years the 95% of population has got limited options.. She is an ordinary middle aged woman, whose husband died not long time ago and she still didn't get over it.
@@imakefoodhappen actually if you listen what she said there were guys in sweden who were interested in her, but she dump them all because she believed in the scammer.... This is also a bad effect of being cat fished by a romance scammer, they don't take only your money, but also your time and options.
@@imakefoodhappen I agree that so many are lonely, unattractive and enjoy this fantasy lover. I have watched some catfish stories where they’re just pulled in by the scammer’s cut and paste love poems as well as marriage proposals. I watched one lady, in her late 40s or early 50s, attractive and a tad chubby, that had inherited over a million dollars, fell in love with a scammer and I believe in just over a month or two had sent around $1.7 million to the POS🙄. I’m 70 and a widow as of March 2020 but even though I live alone with my sweet dog, Lola, I am not lonely. I am mobility impaired, no longer have a car and don’t need people around me as I’m happy with myself. If I do get lonely, I just call any of my many friends and family that live back in my hometown.
This lady seems very likable and fun to be around. Not many of these "victims" are. Unfortunately she is very impulsive and drastically so. Proof is that she has wanted to unalive herself. Nothing is worth your precious life. I really hope she gets counseling. She needs to get counseling in how to make better decisions. Her children stay away because no one wants to watch their mom get scammed and hurt. Im sure they tried to explain the error in her ways and she refused. Please continue to be a mom and possibly a grandmom. You don't owe nor are responsible for ANYONE outside of your family. Especially your children and grandkids. Good luck
What made an impression was that the men in the photos were quite similar visually to the victim's husband. If she shared photos of her husband on Instagram, it is very possible that they "copied" the ideal for a partner from them. This is a psychological trick that directly affects the emotions and sentiments of the "goal" of the scam.
A similar thing happened to one of the cleaners in my office, another Filipina. Luckily she didn't send money. She was showing one of the ladies at work pictures of the man she met online, how handsome he was, and that she didn't know how to help him because he needed money. Luckily the lady at work knew about scams and was able to convince her it was fake before she sent money
These scammers pop up everywhere, always the same pathetic story, hey I love your posts you are funny I tried sending a friend request but it didn't go through. I've seen women answer them " you seem really nice" I tell them he's a scammer and they're shocked asking do you think so? I say why would a stranger send you a friend request with all the cheesy hearts, a normal man doesn't do that. Why are people so naive it's ridiculous.
@@hoosierbaddy3052 perhaps the ladies get brained washed,l suppose if somebody is writing lovely poems, and telling them they are beautiful, and they love them all the time, they end up believing .
Yes, it's good that these women come out but there's a fool being scammed every second. There are endless channels out there reporting these scams and still there are lonely people out there taking the bait. It's sad but these women are lonely, vulnerable and already broken. They are an easy target. They need counseling but unfortunately, they only realize the scam after they have lost everything.
I lost my lovely husband to cancer nine years ago. Recently in U.K. Covid lockdown I went on dating site & it’s full of scammers. At the time I was bored and they kept me amused but I would never, ever give money to someone I had never met.
Yeah, string them along and tell them you are sending them 100K and then wait for their reaction when nothing came through. Watch the words babe and baby disappeared and they will start ranting how you have a "black heart".
Margarita,Please please do not commit suicide. I know things are hard but they will eventually get better. Closure will only come from you, not the scammer
If anyone called me ‘my Queen’ I would fall off my seat laughing. These ‘compliments’ are truly pathetic. Just the fact that they cannot talk to a woman properly without all this ridiculous flattery should tell you that they are scammers or creeps. I’m sorry that people are so vulnerable that they will fall for this BS.
yeah...I don't want to be anyone's queen, I don't want bad poems and klunky metaphors about suns and moons and shining stars. That alone would turn me off right away. I want someone to have fun with in real life and build something together.
Your first clue is that none of the women that fall for this scam are pretty! And they tell you you’re beautiful come on give me a break! 😂 The women obviously need their ego stroked
It's a cultural thing. These are African men and that is how they refer to their women. At least women they are in serious relationships with. To them it's no big thing nor the girl they'd be saying it to. It might be pathetic to you but only because you aren't a women from that culture.
I use to get friends request from people I didn't know when I had fb. Lots of them were real and we would facetime and they didn't want anything . So it depends
@@jaytruth6503 you didn’t understand what I said tho. A stranger in real life who became your friend can just as easily scam/betray you irl as online. The key is to not hang with people who ask you for money - they’re not your friends they’re a business xD
My dad always said- never borrow money, only give what you can afford to live without! He also would say- the best way to lose a friend is by borrowing them money!
Don’t send money to anyone on the internet. Period. As soon as someone asks for money, block him/her and stop all communications. Report him/her to the dating service as well.
It's so easy today because you can block them without confrontation. I am new to online dating. If I start feeling weird, I block. It to easy to overlook little red flags that later turn into an avalanche.
@@mzche1999 If you feel uneasy end a contact, block. If anyone is calling you "beautiful" during chat block. If anyone says "we have deep connection" during the first meeting finish is. It may be a scam or someone looking for casual sex.
You never “met” him, and you don’t have a “relationship”. If you met a stranger on the street who asked you for a large sum of money, would you give it to them? This man is a STRANGER - don’t be dumb!!
@@BitchyQueen69 I have sympathy, but it really is dumb. Naive is just a nice word for dumb. We could say un-wordly, uneducated, too trusting...still kind of dumb to give money to someone you never even met no matter if you are looking for love or not.
@@BitchyQueen69 I'm a widow. I still would not fall for something like that. There are many lonely people. Only a few would give money to an outright stranger they never met. Sugar coating the truth helps no one. I hate it for them, but something in their make-up makes them more vulnerable than the average person. And, it is not just grief.
@@BitchyQueen69 I doubt it is millions. But, it doesn't matter how many people are scammed. It really is not smart to give money to strangers. In other words, it is kind of dumb. Even the people who get scammed say, it was dumb. To dance around that would not be learning much. Because if they don't recognize it as a NOT smart thing to do, they could get scammed again. I really feel for them and despise those that take advantage. But, people need to wisen up. I am not lucky. I am just not dumb enough to fall for "My Queen", "My Love", "My Wife", "By the way I need a couple thousand dollars" Sheesh!
She worked extremely hard as a nurse & may be close to retirement. All that money would be more than enough to retire in her province in the Philippines
I'm really confused about that part. Especially since it's been four years since she's been scammed, but she says her daughters and her only stopped talking 6 months ago. My theory is that the daughters saw their mom getting scammed a second time, tried to stop her, and she resisted. And maybe they gave her the ultimatum that they could only have a relationship with her if she blocked the guy. I hope that this woman is able to reconnect with her daughters now.
Where do these people get all this money from? Most banks won't even give you a loan for that much money. STOP SENDING MONEY TO ANYONE. YOU CAN'T "BUY" LOVE.
She picked a man she didn’t know over her kids. It had gone on for four years but only lost her daughter six months ago. Thats when she started up with the second and I bet the daughter tried to warn her and gave her an ultimatum and she picked the stranger. I think she will do it again too
They're sloppy with documents on purpose. They're looking for people who don't see the errors or who will look past them while trying to live out their fantasy. They'd rather get caught early than waste a lot of time and get caught later, and lose their investment of time.
A lot of times it's hard to feel sorry for these people, but not this time. I LOVE this lady! The way she got on here dropping F bombs, I love her spirit! The way she's able to smile after what happened, she's very resilient. God bless you, lady! 💕👍🏾🙂
Sure, it's funny to Americans, because we use the Imperial system for measurements. Sweden, like many countries, uses the Metric system. It's not common knowledge in those countries that 12 inches equals 1 foot.
This true. I have a friend, who met a doctor online, who was abroad at the moment. He was widowed, had a daughter. One day she told me that she found it strange that he asked so many irrelevant questions. Just now he asked her what she had eaten for breakfast. This is when my bells rang thanks to watching this here. I said i‘d give him two months until he‘d ask her for money. I was wrong: he already asked after one week. 😂
Run for the hills if they ask you for a dime, nevermind $80 grand. These nigerian hucksters purposely make spelling & grammatical errors and they know they have a live one when these lonely ladies ignore the errors and start sending their life savings & retirement money and taking out a 2nd mortgage, and pawning their jewelry. The internet is the worst thing that ever happened to these old ladies.

This lovely lady is so brave to share her story.Bereavement and loneliness can sometimes cloud our normally good judgement.Unfortunately, these greedy scammers took advantage of her vulnerability and break her heart and bank accounts.
I’ll never understand how people fall head over heels in love with someone they’ve never shaken hands with. It all comes down to falling in love with a picture of someone you could never get in real life, like we did when we were 13. 🤦🏾♀️
Exactly. We all KNOW in life what we can attract physically from the opposite sex. I’m in my late 40’s and I know I’m never going to attract a younger man or even a hot older man, so when I see these women in their 60’s who actually think they scored some hot Doctor, I just shake my head. Delusional, I guess.

Sorry....we have to accept responsibility for ourselves. We are not children, but adults. This scammer waited a year and a half before asking for money? That’s impressive. Usually they start asking for $ within a couple of weeks. Or possibly a month or two. But not a year or more.
Dear Margarita, please dont allow these disgusting scammers to take any more from you. They have taken your money but don’t allow them to take your life. Your family will come around because they love you x

FFS, so after the first scammer she then matches with someone else who lives overseas? What really are the chances of an overseas date being either genuine or coming to anything? She needs to change her settings to someone within 50km and someone she can actually meet. All these people are absolutely their own worse enemies.
I feel bad for the real oil rig workers, military soldiers and UN doctors who are genuinely searching for love online …their reputation is totally bad because of this ruthless scammers

Why those laws protecting scammers? Our information are given to the governmental authority by the bank and this is a fact. So why the banks do not disclose the information when it is a crime? Are the banks like so much money that they are closing their eyes on those crimes. This is not Bitcoin, this is a bank to bank transfer.
@@yellowdayz1800 I have never felt that it’s fair to say it’s selfish for someone to take their own life. I get how someone can say that if they’ve never experienced terrible depression maybe. But sometimes when someone is seriously depressed their brain convinces them that everyone is BETTER OFF WITOUT THEM. So they don’t see it as selfish, if that makes sense. People can feel like an incredible burden and like they’re only hurting their loved ones by being alive. Also living with certain mental illnesses is just really really hard. And some of them can be debilitating. Obviously I wish no one would take their life but I don’t think people are acting selfishly when they do. Even though I’m fully aware how incredibly painful it is for those left behind. ✌🏻 I wanted to add that depression can also really cloud your judgment....
Because most scam victims are trusting, have lost a loved one, are lonely and underestimated and need kind words and someone to tell them that they are special and loved. Scammers are a mafia that very carefully selects its victims and studies them, and builds self-confidence under the "mask" of the ideal partner. Therefore, sharing such cases is very useful for learning how to protect gullible people from them.
Maybe , like me she had'nt even heard the word 'scam ' before . Did'nt realise there were such horrible people in this world . They almost seem to hypnotise you . This lady was an innocent victim . She had lost the man she loved , i know how that feels . I can assure you it hurts like hell . !!
Because while it may be familiar to you it's not familiar with a lot of people. If it was "so well known" $304M wouldn't have been lost to romance scammers just last year.
@@CatfishedOnline I was thinking the same - not everyone is technologically savvy or on top of the latest scams out there. This woman's story was particularly difficult because this caused her to isolate herself from her friends and family. Now she is probably on a 'suckers list' and will probably get constant attention from future scammers. Hopefully her conversation with this channel can help her move beyond this
I’m so tired of these stories that say: I’m in love with someone online. That is impossible. The correct terminology for this scenario is infatuation. Infatuation is not love. It is an idea of what could happen. Real love gives, real love is developed in person when you go through several seasons and scenarios. Also, what these men are doing is called “future faking” they sell a story of a love future that will never happen. It’s just a story line. Again, we make a choice to fall for it or not.
Seriously, I'm sorry but do these women ever look in the mirror? A good looking, young-ish successful man is going to look for an older, average-looking woman? If he's too good to be true, beware.
She said she has guys in Sweden willing to date her. That’s something you don’t usually hear on any of these shows. Why waste your time on someone who will bleed you dry and string you along for 4 years? She deserves so much better and it’s obvious she can find someone who is. I really feel for her! It’s clear she’s depressed, especially after losing her husband. I hope she finds peace and happiness. And if she decides to date, not do so online.
Those guys in real life aren't rich, aren't models, and don't keep telling her she's the most beautiful woman they've ever seen. So she ain't interested.

Where do people get the energy for these lifestyles. They spend so much time every day answering texts and fantasizing. i was watching a doc recently, a UK one, and they mentioned that its very difficult to get men to admit to being scammed, even when theyve been tracked down by police as victims in an investigation, they tended to just deny it. They were also apparently more likley to fall for scammers more than once as well...their ego and male pride has a lot to do with that!
