After the bank teller tells her she is being scammed and refused to transfer any more money....she drives for two hours to find another bank!!!..😱. I want to shake this lady into reality!!.
No. He's working. What he doing in regards to scamming her IS HIS WORK. In fact it's probably several different people this woman was talking to because they work in shifts.
I'm always shocked at how positive some of the victims seem in these videos. "oh wow, that's so funny. thanks for the info! Have a great day!" If I had $13,000 stolen from me, I don't think I'd be able to even speak
So…this lady thinks she didn’t get her 12,000 dollars back because she wouldn’t launder money for him. She was NEVER going to get her money back, ever.
You can't fix being heartless. She volunteered to talk about this to help other young people not to make the same mistake and negative comments does not help her cause. It only makes you all look like you are a b........!
What kind of business man goes on a contract and can’t pay for his equipment and then ask some randomly chosen woman he meets on the internet for money? Just think about it!
I wish that was the only red flag. Unfortunately in these scenarios there are so many things that do not add up, but these women choose to totally ignore over and over and over again.
@@brindacockburn4033 She still isn’t learning anything, because Linnie was on drugs at 14:15 - she asserted the document was claiming the email address belonged to British Airways (seriously, what’s up with Linnie being that bad at her job??). How come this scammed lady didn’t catch that and say “no Linnie, the document is simply saying that the customer (“Paul”) made the transaction with his private gmail email address, which is perfectly normal and expected.”
I decided in my early thirties not to mess with any man and I was in the prime of my life. What on Gods green Earth do you think you even stand a chance at your age?
And as so many others pointed out… she drove 40 miles to another bank. That is quite a lot of time and effort. To me, that crossed to line from victim to willing accompli.
Agree to a degree. Scammers prey on naivete and loneliness and in those states of mind, some people will fall into the trap and they will do anything to be with these ideals of people. I think there needs to be more education, especially for the age groups that are targetted.
Yeah, I was wondering about the woman in the picture vs the woman in the story. First, I was like, "is the woman narrating the woman in the pic's story??" Then I instantly realized that she used a picture from decades ago. Come on lady - start demanding truth of yourself. Don't use a picture that looks nothing like you do now
It is sad but I think she scammed the scammer too but I don't think she was totally cognizant of what she did. She was in the middle of a divorce and had been just told she had cancer. I don't think she was being realistic.
It’s ludicrous to send money to a total stranger and what gets me is the need to keep sending money because you think your in love. Love shouldn’t cost a single dime!
I have worked in banking over 20 years -- that bank teller who refused to do the wire should have contacted the wire department immediately after she left so any further attempts could be denied at any other branch. I went through this when we dealt with Western Union at one of my past employers -- while I couldn't stop the woman from sending the money, I contacted WU immediately after she left. Sometimes though, there is no saving people from themselves.
I basically had the same problem at work many years ago. An older lady was sending money to someone, I forgot where, I finally asked her about it. She was secretive about it. I finally called someone higher up at WU. Next time she came in I called & let her talk to the lady at WU. She had no luck talking to her either. We finally had to just refuse WU services to her after that. I always wondered about her.
Why does it take $13,000 for you to suspect you're being scammed? Btw she looks drastically different than her profile picture 😳. Lol does that count as catfishing 😂? ETA: This woman thought she was dying from stage 4 cancer, and didn't have a stable income or access to health insurance, but was sending this man money???? Thousands of it?!?! I can't....
Ayesha Summers, I know. I was bummed because I thought - just this once - a women realized BEFORE she sent thousands of dollars, that she was being scammed. You can fall for someone without giving them money. Grown, mature women should understand that, and if he needs this kind of money and cannot get it on his own, sounds like a weak man. Why fall for a weak man. Find yourself a man who has his own money or knows how to get it without a sugar momma.
All of these women claim the scammer was "so smooth, so good, knew all the right things to say", etc. They are typing the most basic, generic nonsense. Most people would laugh at it.
"I've never worked, my ex-husband doesn't send me alimony, his insurance no longer pays my medical bills, and my daughter and I live off credit cards." Yet she manages to come up with $13,000 to give away? If she's so strapped for money, she should GET A JOB and quit whining about no alimony. I find it difficult to have any sympathy for her.
Me too, these women go for rich men,she wouldn't look at him twice if he haven't said that he has high paying job and if he didn't look pretty 🙄I only felt sorry for maybe two women who were really in a bad place emotionaly.
She said she sold her house and had the money from that. She didn’t say she had never worked, but that she had been a stay at home mom while married. So what if she used credit cards and then paid off the debt? You’re the one who comes off as a complainer with anger issues.
These people fall in love with a PICTURE!! These scammers can't even hold a decent conversation. If a hot guy messaged me, and he could not carry on an intelligent conversation, I would drop him like a hot potato!! Ladies, a real man will never ever ask you for money, especially if you say your sick and unemployed!!! Why would you even want a Selfish guy like that? Not me, NO sir!!!!!!,
All the conversations are the same they barely go beyond how are you, have you eaten & love you my queen 🤮 Ask anything beyond & they vanish them come back & start the nonsense again! I don't know how anyone is satisfied with that let alone falling in love.
She's doing a bit of catfishing herself , the photo is about 20 years old. She hasn't worked in years she said, and moaning she wants money off her ex. Get a job lady!
Lol That’s how online dating is. Only show the best angles, then show up to a date looking like a completely different person and wonder why it’s awkward.
@@samusvikerness661 most people don’t put up pictures from decades ago though. She’s a young woman in her picture. Now she’s 50 pounds heavier with a ton of white hair and a lot of wrinkles. That’s not taking pictures from good angles or even airbrushing
Bank Officer: "This is a scam; I'm not transferring the money." Victim: drives 40 miles to another bank which will transfer the money. (I guess the victims will see the truth when they are ready to see it).
She was brainwashed at this point . She was not thinking normally . I worry if she is Still not somewhat at Risk because of the words she uses when describing this “ relationship “ as though it is current , or even Still ongoing ?? She needs counseling . God Bless .
as someone who works at a bank, I'm honestly shocked the teller at her bank didn't immediate have her account restricted knowing she could very well (and did) go to another location to try the transaction again. if anything like that happens at the bank I work for, we send out mass emails and call on the fraud department to handle the situation. absolutely wild.
Good for you…my aunt was scammed. She was older and confused and gave thousands to a stranger. When we spoke with the bank they said- it’s her money so she has ever right to do what she wants with it.
It’s her money, the bank works for her. If the teller warned her it was a scam and her response wasn’t to tuck her debit card away and stop communicating with the guy. As a grown woman she has the right to drive to the moon retrieve her pennies and send it to Santa clause, the scammer, flush it down the toilet, buy 1000 cans of cat food. Whatever she pleases, it’s hers and if she can’t conduct herself as an adult with all the wisdom and discernment that comes with age then the money will be gone. Adults need to start adulting. I’m not saying vulnerable people shouldn’t be protected but she’s not incapable, no need to bubble wrap her.
It doesn't matter how sophisticated technologies they use, how about not sending/receiving money until you meet and actually have a one on one relationship with the person? Call me old-fashion but no woman should ever send money to a man and especially whom she has never met.
You're not old fashioned, just someone with common sense. I'm honestly quite a sympathetic person, but I've watched these romance scam videos and can't find any pity for the women.
How stupid is this ?? The bank staff tells you that she suspects fraud and denies the transaction so you run over to another branch to send the money ?!!
Oh Wow! The picture on her profile doesn't even look like her! What the heck?! Honestly, can't even feel bad for her! She had ALL of these red flags, including bank staff! She drove OUT OF HER WAY to make a donation to a scammer! As long as women like these exist, scamming will not cease! Why should it?! Lucky scammer! Wish someone would give me 13 grand! I'll tell them I 💘 them too! 😂 😂 😂
Right?seems like there are so many stupid people in this world. I earn $30 an hour at work, I could just spin the most unbelievable story and retire early lol
It's always the same story. These people send money and then say, ( WOW, I THINK I MIGHT'VE BEEN SCAMMED)!! Maybe they should use common sense and check out these people before sending them money.
Well the bank lady tried to tell her 🤷🏽♀️🤣 and she STILL didn’t think she was being scammed until after at least $10k lmao. I wonder what’s the magical amount that makes them go wow maybe that’s a scam?
Another old looking woman who thinks that online there are attractive, businessmen just waiting for her to log on, so that they can fall in love with her in a week. These women are delusional. Also, which normal man sends passport details , bank details etc to a stranger online? A big red flag.
Sometimes I wish these women who fall for the scammers would spend their money on improving their own lives....like self care, social activities, fitness activities. and healthy foods. Then they would be healthier, happier, look better, and meet real people.
Red Planet- maybe you need grammar lessons. “There are attractive” is decidedly unattractive grammar to me. Worry about yourself and praise this lady for being honest to help try to save others.
@@deirdrekokora8680 grammar has nothing to do with the idiot on this video doing what she did. She deserves everything she got taken for. She lacks complete common sense.
I read your comment before her video showed up, and I was like: "so mean... i sure she's pretty, she probably didn't have makeup on the video". I STAND CORRECTED.
I've noticed MANY middle to upper class Caucasian American women cannot or will not be alone! Idk if they need a man fawning over them or what! I'm multi racial. My now ex husband divorced me after 27 years of marriage. I also have MS and the stress made me unable to work for a couple of years. I got lonely. Desperately lonely. Not enough to give away free money to ANYONE though!
How is it possible that thisUSA woman don’t see the grammar errors in the messages? I notice and English is my third language. Engineer would never write like that.
"It says on the dating site, that you're not supposed to ask for money". Well......I guess that alone should have stopped him, how dare he break the rules!! 😂😂
Don't forget, this stupid woman is living in a fantasy world; "well I'M nice. I'M not cut throat & would certainly never scam anybody. So that means the universe is made of cotton candy & ponies and everybody just loves everybody". (Barf)
You shouldn't say that this woman was battling breast cancer. She was a long term survivor, she didn't have cancer and wasn't diagnosed as having it. Very misleading and certainly dishonest.
@@JaimeMesChiens Actually, it's not Tina who is at fault for that headline. Time and time again, I've noticed these people mess with what the text is, one "victim" confirmed it. She never gave them any text, they made it up. Their webpage is blocked in my country (England) because of problems with The Data Protection Act, which made me curious about them. I was looking at feedback about them online....not too good. Happy New Year and a healthy one to you.
@@JaimeMesChiens One woman who was on actually admitted in text that they made up all the texted messages the scammers sent her, she never showed them the texts. Time and time again, there's something fishy here. They're blocked in my country (England) because of their non compliance with WDPR laws, which isn't good. If people want to hear how beautiful they are from an unknown entity thousands of miles away, good for them. You won't stop them. You can get free tools. the reverse image tools, and download Grabify which will tell you where they're phoning from. Watch Romance Scammers and online scams. A lovely funny English lady does it, really messes with their minds, without being at all rude or anything. She has a whole gang of alter egos, including an 80 year old. Bye now and take care.
3 of my 4 close friends have had breast cancer. It is a life long battle. If some surgeon tells you that he got it all he’s lying. There is no way that you can get rid of every single cancer cell in your body. I’m a retired oncology nurse.
Good on the bank employee who refused to do the second wire transfer. So then this idiot drives for miles bank shopping to find someone who will do it.
Gosh, these victims really make me want to scream. They need mental health care. Loneliness is a terrible thing to feel. These scammers need life in prison.
Two failed marriages. Barely divorced from second husband and already looking to get into a new relationship. Lady take time to get to know you. Learn to be content with not being in relationship. I am sure you fall in love with yourself.
That’s a gross misrepresentation of what that saying means. It doesn’t mean you only give compassion and charity to people in your family, community, country, etc. It means parents should be teaching their children - IN THE HOME - how to be charitable, kind, and compassionate. A starving child in America is no more deserving of food and help than a starving child in Africa. That kind of thinking is xenophobic and gross.
Why would an adult male who owns his own business to boot, need YOUR money?!!!!!! Why would he ask YOU out of all the ppl he’s lived around during his lifetime ?!!!! Woman, go find yourself and take care of yourself more!!!!
She said he (the scammer) was intelligent. How on earth did she reduce that? A couple of savvy texts? Did she send him a MENSA quiz? Cunning yes. Intelligent no.
You mean her ex? Who wasn't paying child support? That's VERY common! And very expensive to chase after too! Hope you never have to deal with it yourself!
starting to think her "ass" of an ex husband was just responsible and held her accountable, thus making him the bad guy. notice how during this whole story the scammer is still held with a strong reserve?
Why do you need a man when you've got animals? I know it's lonely being by yourself (as I am) but animals always give you unconditional love, even get a fish if you're allergic to fur.
What I don't understand is the victim seems to think they are too smart to get scammed by saying " oh I was suspicious after sending 13,000 " or " I told him I thought he was a scammer" but continue to talk and give money. Is that their way of softening the blow?
To be honest. She should have simply said 'Sorry, I am completely maxxed out on my credit cards and loans because I have been having to pay for medical fees. I was kind of hoping that being a man who is in love with me that you might be able to loan me some money'
Before watching these as a Christian if I wanted to date online Christian mingle would have been where I WOULD HAVE gone, not now. I met my late husband in church and if God wanted me with someone He'll let me meet face to face, most likely in church, NOT ONLINE. Thank you for the great education. It worked for me, I'm sure there are many more, like me, who learned by the sad stories of the victims who unfortunately fell for these. May God bless you and the victims, that if it's meant to be you won't by dating online. Meet the person, date the old fashioned way and be safe. Catfish great work. I've been subscribed for awhile now.
The part about daughter refusing to see dad was unnecessary she didn't need to bring that up.... also said she hasn't worked in forever... why not? She needs to get a job
all the signs are there right in front of your face. even the bank teller denied any future transfers and you STILL drove 40 mins OUT OF THE WAY to do it! open your eyes!
Amazing how these folks ignore their own caution and end up throwing money at a random stranger. I can see if there was at least an evolution in the relationship where you've actually met up and did things in person. Can't believe how these folks throw money at some image of a person.
Gosh, she said she was worried she didn't have enough money for cancer treatment, that is so foreign to me and other countries, America is supposed to be a first world country?
How do the scammers find these women?? The teller told Her she was being scammed and She went out of Her way to Go to another bank so She could. Send the scanner money.💀
