Each French African colonies had a referendum in the 50's to choose if they wanted to be Independant ,stay in the French Community or be annexed by France ,Gabon choosed to be annexed ,but De Gaulle refused the result and gave them independance anyways ,and when they had to choose a flag ,they wanted to put a French flag in the Upper Left corner (Like the UK flag in Australian's and New Zealand flag) and De Gaulle also said No to that .

Victoria Newfoundland Canada here. Would be interrested to see my home town being shown to these guys. Some interresting history here, including a ranch or pasture, ww2 era POW camp that was never used, Heritage park on Power house road showing some of the old carts and things around here, and old salt box house that would have been built from salt fish boxes back in the day. The power house is interesting as well it's been upgraded at least 3 times I believe. Also images of our towns water supply may be interesting it's a pond or small lake. Softball field playgrounds, tenis court or street basketball court, and skateboard park of sorts. maybe 2500 people in this township, and new houses going up all the time, Including next the old tracks which used to be railway lines back before the railroad was done away with here.
