Hi mate hope you're well. I'm 5"11 on a bad day, 6ft when I'm not hunched over lol. The Townace is narrower but should have tonnes of headroom. They're so freakin cool. And so rare now. I only saw them in New Zealand recently and people are beginning to notice they're niche because many were outside panel shops getting resprays I assume. I also recall Japan not having any more spare tail lights for them they were that popular they ran out. Definately with you on electric cars. I see their appeal but I'd rather not have a smartphone as a car.

It's confusing as heck no? In a nutshell you cannot put extended loads on overdrive. Heavy loads. As in heavy throttle up steep hills that go on for a long time because you'll overheat the torque converter which will cook the transmission fluid and overheat the transmission entirely and even get the radiator hotter since the fluid runs through the radiator for cooling. IF the torque converter is locked up in overdrive (82kph+) it's ok to put load on it because a) you're going fast enough to keep it locked and in the cars power band and, b) the torque converter cannot slip when it's locked so there is no heat generated. Now with the ECT power button on and overdrive on, the car revs out more before shifting, keeping the revs up. It also downshifts much more intuitively so overdrive is never worked hard. And lastly, I live in a very flat city. Some more points to know. The torque converter won't lockup in third with ECT power on. So if you're climbing a steep hill at 60 or 70kph, you'll have to switch off overdrive, then the ECT power button to get it to lock up in 3rd. You need to attend a damn engineering, geography and physics class and obtain a PhD to operate these damn things.
