Shane’s a good dude. Hate he’s having to go through this tough patch right now. Appreciate you checking out our channel. We won’t have nearly as many muscadines, but we do have more varieties. Just don’t tell him. 😉
Well, looks like I'll be the guinea pig! I've got about 160' (8 vines) growing on the outskirts of my mulched food forest. We had a couple of cold snaps down to 18° last year and they didn't take any damage. The oldest vines are going ok year 4 and the youngest are going on their 2nd year, so only time will tell!
This was very interesting Matt. First, cool seeing what Isons looks like. I hadn’t ordered from there yet but have looked at their trees. They are in my list to order from. Kinfolk loves muscadines haha. That’s something that so still got to plant myself. Can’t wait to see part 2 and the pruning section. That is going to be helpful when I get me done grapes!
They had a good selection. Once we got home we thought of a few trees we wish we had asked about. Definitely good folks. Shane is the real deal for sure.
Great video. I would love to visit Ison’s I’m so jealous. Lol I’ve got four Muscadine plants from them, I need to finish my trellis and get them planted. I watched Kinfolk farm videos on his trellis building and planting. I’m excited to see my vines grow and produce.
Don’t mulch grapes. ✔️ Got it! Further out, the weaker the plant--10ft each direction ✔️ Thank you so much! This was great. We’re in Oklahoma--we WANT grapes… not sure if we can. 🤷♀️So right now--learning all we can. Great info! Thanks!
