The robin you made for your mam is lovely. Such a nice tribute to your dad. If that's him in the photo he was a very handsome man. I no longer have my mam or my dad around and I always do something at this time of year as a nod to them. Nothing more important than family, whether they're still with us or not. Hope you and yours enjoy advent. Hope, peace, joy and love to you all. ❤

I hope you had a lovely day visiting your mum. I loved that your dad enjoyed robins! I love seeing them in Minnesota in the early spring and through the early autumn. We have a bird feeder near our breakfast nook and really enjoy watching many kinds of birds. My favorites are the cardinals and chickadees. The squirrels keep trying to get up the feeder's pole, but don't feel sorry for them. They have plenty of seeds that fall on the ground! Also, it was a bumper crop for acorns this year, so the squirrels are fat and sassy! Enjoy your knitting!

Hi Kate.Writing to you fromNY, and how lucky I was to find you. I see you are from Northern Ireland. Well I am of Irish heritage. I’ve been to Ireland many times. We visited Northern Ireland for the first time a few years ago. I fell in love with ,the landand it’s people. A special trip was to Derry, as I see you drove through. Enjoying your blog.Funny,I don’t know you but I feel Iso much is familiar- the mom visit,bringing the food and the grave visit.I miss Ireland so much, it sometimes aches.Glad to meet you. Judy
