Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to remove or replace the power mirror switch on VW Jetta MK6 and VW Golf MK6. If your switch is not working and it needs to be replaced then this is the video that should help you. DO NOT TRY to remove the power mirror switch without removing the door panel. If it brakes you will not be able to attach the new one. We have seen some like that.

Thanks a lot. Useful information, I did not need to hold the entire door cover off since I just removed the back mirror control. As this is in the top door cover, I sliced down the window first to remove the device. 😄😊🤘🏼

You don't have to remove the door panel at all.. pry it straight out from the front middle of the switches panel.

I just had to replace my switch, took all of 15 minutes. Just pry the switch out from the door directly. no reason to remove the door card. The switch is held in by 4 small tabs only. Then remove the cable by pressing the release switch and gently pulling. To re-add the new switch, just insert the plug, then push it into place.
