As far as I know, and my hearing confirms, for the Italian dub of their Lion King rip-off they hired actors that were not Italian, so it does not surprise me.

The father sounds just like my dad when I was kid and his accent was more pronounced. It's kinda nostalgic because he reads the script just like how my dad read books to us. Not well. 😅
