Walking from Archirondel to Gorey pier (Part 2)

Loved these videos and seeing Mont Orgueil from this angle. It’s impressive from any angle and beautiful at night when floodlit, was wonderful to see while working at the Beach Hotel at night in the restaurant ❤ the big dining room windows gave an amazing view of the castle.

There must have been a lot of work involved in building the house where Jeffery’s leap cafe used to be. Just before the castle those houses are unrecognizable on the right and yes still a lot of money on the Island. I’ve always liked Gorey and lived only 15 minutes walk away when we lived on Les Grand route des sablons . Now and then we would walk along the side of the Royal Jersey on our way to either the moorings hotel or the castle green for lunch, nice memories. I have visited the castle a few times when we had family over from the UK and worth a visit Tom if you are like me whom likes history. That walk brought back so many memory's as i have done it quite a Frew times, And yes there a lot of new houses on the way. which have been replaced from the ones i think i would have mummeries of

Hi Tom and Paddy, many thanks for these lovely videos from St. Catherines and Gorey, it truly is a beautiful part of the island. I usually stay in St. Brelades, but in July I am staying at the Beausite Hotel in Grouville, so am really looking forward to exploring more of this side of the island. On looking at your comments regarding your golf performance, I will take extra care if walking near the golf course in case you are out😂😂😂 Your videos are by far the best I've seen of Jersey and bring back so many happy memories. Lovely walk Tom & paddy G, I've been in the castle 31yrs ago with my eldest daughter she was then 8yrs,too many steps for me, back in the day when I was working on the rock we used to go to the old dolphin, which is a life time ago, but still have great memories, & those houses wow how the other half live, once again I burst out laughing at you when the fella asked can you get to the castle this way, obviously we can't get it out of our minds about the two French men lol.

Those houses are incredible, Tom😍. When you look down on them from the top of the castle you can see how grand they are, especially the white one you mentioned. Their back gardens are something else!😊

A lovely part of Jersey Part 1 & 2 Tom and probably my favourite place to stay , nice to see the tide in the harbour making it a great place to sit outside along the front with a cold beer. Only visited the castle once very interesting and great views with loads of steps to reach the top,we had a guided tour and the tour guide just happened to be Sir Walter Raleigh he looked well considering his age 😁😁. On the mention of the golf couse at Gorey I would avoid this area due to being used as a minefield by the German occupation but would tell my partner to have a good walk around and jump up and down 😂😂 As always looking forward to your future vids.👋👋

Great walk again Tom. Gorey, my sons most favourite place in the whole world, and the scene of so many family holidays at the Beach Hotel ,now sadly luxury apartments.😂
