@thereluctantoutdoorsman Today Paddy the cockapoo and I continue our walk along the North coast of Jersey. The video starts as we arrive in the carpark at Le Saie Harbour. We take a look at the 4,850 year old gallery grave (one of only two on the island) and the Le Couperon Guard House (originally built in 1689). We then head down to the beach at Le Saie. This video is Part 2 of 2.

Hi Tom and Paddy. I really enjoyed this video, with splash of history thrown in for good measure, not to mention the birdsong. Just lovely ☘️☘️

I have to say Tom when I lived in Jersey it was always so clean everywhere and didn’t see hardly any litter. It 😅was well worth a visit to Le Saie and so quiet and peaceful and a lovely place to take a picnic to and sit and relax and have a little snooze lovely. I played golf this morning and was playing really good, I was walking down the wooden steps to the 10th green and slipped flat on my back. I walked off with blood running down my arm and my shoulder was throbbing, so I had to call it a day. I was treated by one of the lovely girls in the Pro shop and cleaned me up. The worst thing was I was only two over gross at the time but hey ho I’ll be back. Looking forward to the next installment thanks to you and Paddy.

Tom I was glad to see you giving Paddy a drink must be thirtsy work pulling you along 😁so that was Le Saie Harbour , I was expecting a harbour with boats and stone walls around so I guess this could of been a smuggler's spot ? anyway enjoyed this very much as always and showing more of Jersey that I didn't know about . As always great vids and keep healthy .

Hi Lloyd, apparently the Jersey French for Le Saie which is Le Scez means "a harbour in the sense of a sheltered anchorage" to quote an article by historian Doug Ford. As you say I'm fairly sure smugglers would have used it. Thanks for the comments mate. I hope you are doing well! 👍🏻

@@thereluctantoutdoorsman After last week's time in Cornwall and walks I feel like a new young man.No aching legs and shortness of breath, but my outlook is to spend time travelling more.
