Once had an S&D order for 1 item, a home COVID test. When I couldn't find it (big surprise) I proceeded to directly call support and let them cancel, which they did giving me full pay. If you want any chance of getting a full payout on a canceled order, ALWAYS call support, don't cancel on your own.

That's odd because when I have asked support to cancel an order before... for different reasons they tell me to cancel it on my end. One time it wouldn't let me cancel it on my end and so they canceled it on there end. It is better for them to cancel it instead so it doesn't affect the metrics but they try to tell me that they'll document it in the system and it won't affect the metrics. I still rather they cancel it.

Houston Texas Suburbs: Orders that have lots of water bottles ( 24 x 4 ) are not popular with drivers nor associates. I occasionally want the workout challenge and accept. But Associates generally deal with those heavy orders LAST. If it's busy, the heavy order won't be brought to you for 20-40 minutes. You have to catch an athletic associate to bring it to your car. Also, orders do get cancelled frequently, but the cancellation doesn't transmit to the driver's app for 20-30 minutes, Sometimes! The worst move is not catching an associate or contacting DS to verify an order is still valid.

Thanks for sharing! It's messed up that they make you wait for those big water bottle orders! - I know inside the pickup area the employees have a board that is counting the time that each driver has been checked in for, and they are supposed to do them in order of who got there first. I get a lot of those 40 packs of great value water here and those are so heavy and usually go up a few flights of stairs 🤦🏻‍♂️. Do you ever put a thumbs down after completing an order and select the reason for the rating is the store, and write stuff about this problem you have with the store? I often do this and I'm fairly sure someone at DDI reviews these reports. About the cancelation- if you are sitting there waiting for an order for a few minutes I would highly recommend calling the store and to ask about the order. I usually just call and say "I've been having issues with checking-in and I just wanted to make sure I was checked in" and the associates will ask what the name on the order is and they tell me "yeah you are checked in" and then they usually get the order out to me quickly after that. hope some of this helps! With the money I get I feel like there just paying me to drive around in my car. Cause once payday comes it goes back to Walmart for gas. Only left with a few bucks to myself. Like maybe $7. Pending the price of gas at the time. Sometimes I have to pay out of pocket for the gas this didn’t cover. Basically dropping off orders for free. While loading miles on the car.

Have you come across a time when the metrics stop updating and you stop recieving orders? My metrics have not updated for more than a week, I'm not receiving orders anymore, like 1 or two orders a day.

Hi Magnus, My metrics haven’t updated in about 3 weeks now- I’m not sure what’s going on with metrics. I have had days where I don’t get many offers, usually because the previous day I canceled a bunch of orders that I accepted. If the day is really slow call driver support and ask why it’s so slow and have them look up if there are a low number of orders at your store that day. Hope this helps! Justin- Can you tell me why so often orders come to my phone and are "accepted by another driver" in an instant? I mean I barely even see the offer appear on my iphone before its gone. Often the offers sent to me give me time to accept but very often they don't. What do other drivers know that I don't know? How are they accepting an offer so fast? Please help!

Can anyone tell me how the "shop and deliver" orders get created in the first place? I've been asking tier 1 and tier 2 customer service agents for MONTHS, and nobody knows!! In my town, the 2 Walmarts can't keep up with the demand with the curbside pickups, and 2 hour waits are routine. So I need the S&Ds to make any money at all. But they're very inconsistent. Sometimes I get up to 10 offers in one day. But other times I don't see any for days at a time. Any help is appreciated!!

It is when the Walmart employees are overwhelmed with orders,OR if it's just a few items for one order. A month ago,half the employees quit at the store I usually go to,so they released 150 shop and delivers to the drivers to pick up. BIG money making month!

@@eveclark5502 That's what I've heard from a few other drivers. It just doesn't make sense in my area. The busier it gets for my 2 stores, the less I see S&Ds. I think I'm going to talk to the store managers to make sure they're crews are aware they can send orders to S&D when they're swamped.

There isn't a way to stop those orders. They are random and unfortunately, you aren't able to deny those requests at this time.

And then they send a report to the IT department and the IT dept takes about 6 hours to completely resolve the problem with the app glitches.

These are the worst. It takes 20-30 minutes to shop, they don't have half of the items and when you can't find a replacement it reduces the total value of the trip and therefor what you will get paid. I spent almost an hour to get paid $6
