This is awesome, thanks for showing a bit of our history! It's been a long journey since the WWE 13 days in 2012. We've moved over to WWE 2K14, and we're honored to have fan support still going strong almost three years later. Thanks for sharing this to your viewers, we're really touched. For those new to VGCW, our RU-vid channel hosts videos starting with Season 11. We've also got a full-blown wiki at VGCW.net. This Exists I used to do something similar in the 1990s with the MUGEN engine on PC. We'd make our own custom characters and their abilities profiles in the scripting then pit them against each other completely autonomous in an AI vs AI match up. For the longest time it was like our geek hobby to design the best AI fighters and we'd match them during the weekends. If anything, this concept of building a character and letting it fight autonomously could be a game in and of itself. If you give people the ability to tweak the AI responses, moves, and customization within reason (like having X points to spend on things).

Should also mention that the show is on every Tuesday, and next Tuesday one of the side shows will be getting the main show slot. (Arena, which is pvp as opposed to ai vs ai)

I feel like I should mention some stuff this dude either left out or didn't learn. Bazza retired from streaming the show as of the end of Season 10. It's currently headed by a guy called TOH. Most of this footage was from the really early stuff. VGCW made the jump to 2k14 back in 2013. Mario, Luigi, and Obama are no longer employed. Ash evolved into Red (no I am not kidding) and wrestlers get much more hyped up debuts these days (See the debut of the BLU Rogues in the most recent episode). Still a good look at it though. More publicity is welcome if you ask me. Just remember if you tune in, when the show's going IT'S CONSIDERED PROPER TO GO ALL CAPS BECAUSE HYPE.

Komichi You might get sucked into vgcw like I did :P Try to start from the beginning or with some of the best matches (like for example armstrong vs Illidian, Edgeworth vs demo, or Mario vs Mr.L)

I used to create my own league of 32-50 NFL level teams in madden and put them through seasons, takin the time to create schedules and rivalries and back stories for every team. Letting the AI decide the outcomes Putting in championship history. Everything down to minor details. My inspiration was the blitz the league games. The kicker is that nobody knows I used to do this. I was kinda embarrassed that I spent so much time working on this but VGCW shows that maybe somebody would be interested in watching things like this.

This stuff has been going on a way before 2012. We used to call it CAW wrestling back then. Notable CAW Feds being NoDQ, SMF, SCAW, ACWL, ICCW, Slam n Jam.... I could go on this shit has real nostalgic value for me.

I was thinking at one point of making a tumblr or something that was post-game report articles for a sport that doesnt exist and just using weighted random number generators and some roll tables to write about some events that happened and see if it was entertaining

video game wrestling sims have been going on before 2012. NoDQ.com used to do a sim called "CAW" (create a wrestler) in the WWE game "Day of Reckoning" back in 06. New Legacy Inc still carries the CAW tradition now.

Speaking of Quake films, you should do a "This Exists" in "The Seal of Nehahra", a 4-hour long story-driven machinima film with original environments, sound, music, and wonderfully terrible voice acting that tells a sweeping backstory to both the original Quake and the 3rd party mod "Nehahra" which it is meant to set up. You can watch it all on RU-vid, but using the actual Quake engine to watch it is more... authentic.

As a huge fan of VGCW, this was very fun to watch. The show has heavily expanded over the course of the past three years and I've enjoyed it every step of the way, so it's cool to get a relative outsider's opinion! Alright! This Exists is back and, apparently in full fighting shape with this gem! In all actuality, I would say that VGCW is probably a more honest way to do pro-wrestling, Might be something that old Vince McMahon might do well to consider implementing. I think having the outcome of the match determined by something as random as this bit of machinima appears to be, I think it would put a breath of fresh air into a very tired and stale industry.

Sam. Here's an idea for an episode. You remember Microsoft 3D Movie Maker from way back in the 90s? It was a positively ancient computer game where you had shitty 3D models in a 3D environment and could make little movies out of them. Today, there's still a community of people who use 3D Movie Maker to make movies. Like, some of them are really good. It's also been modded up the ass. I think it'd make a fascinating episode.

I still have WWF Attitude for PS1. Me and my friends used to get together and make wrestlers. But then instead of playing them we would set up a WrestleMania type line up and let the game do all the fighting. It was like watching the show! Only slower. A lot, lot slower. But with your own characters! We had so much fun with that. I can see how this could exist.

If you think VGCW is interesting you should check out Salty Bet or Amiibo Tournaments. It turns cpu video game matches into something akin to vicious digital cockfighting! While mostly for fun people have been known to place real bets and money has been won and lost in theses fights. Amiibo fighting can be extra emotional when you are betting on an Amiibo that you have personally trained and worked hard to raise to be the best fighter it can be only to see it slip away into the darkness, losing the final tie-breaker round and costing you big time.

I was doing this with NWO Revenge back around 97-98. My roommates and I would make a bracket and pit our wrestlers in CPU controlled matches while we watched movies and got drunk. My character Jekel was the undisputed champ! I can't believe I've never heard of this.

These sorts of AI-controlled games are sort of a fascination for me. One of my favourites is to edit together ARMA 2 battle scenarios with huge numbers of soldiers, and then add myself as a civilian player character (so people won't try to kill me), and then proceed to walk around among the complete pandemonium that ensues :P

This reminds me of what MagicScrumpy does on twitch nowadays. He streams Melee level 9 cpu's and has an in chat currency that you can use to bet on who you think is going to win
