Congratulations and here's to 100 000 more! Fun fact: the coat of arms Lee uses in his metal albums is his actual family's. He can trace back his lineage several centuries. Also he was a damn fine RAF Flight Lieutenant during WW2 and tasked with hunting down and interrogating Nazi war criminals. Lee is officially the most bad ass man still alive in the world. Teachers and parents should tell kids to be like Christopher Lee instead of being themselves. I think the world would become a better place for it. Here are a couple of actors that don't suck as musicians: Hugh Laurie's "Let Them Talk" album and Harry Dean Stanton's "Partly Fiction". Also Zooey Deschanel in the She & Him duo with M. Ward of which I was pleasantly surprised and let's see, Juliette (Lewis) & The Licks?

How is it that all these old dude actors are so much cooler than the younger actors? I mean there's no denying that people like Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart are badass! You have to be crazy not to think so. However, all more youthful actors badassatude is debatable. Who could not love them?

I think Mos Def is an excellent musician/actor. As a musician, his lyrics are clever and unique, and as an actor, he always tries to take on a new character. When you read "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," Ford Precept is described as the alien version of Cosmo Kramer, yet when you watch the most recent movie, you can't picture anyone in that role besides Mos Def. I want Mos Def to appear in a Dave Chappelle movie while supplying the soundtrack with help of producer Mark Ronson. Woah.... I just blew my own mind...

Awesome about 100,000 subscribers. I think you called it. Sir Christopher Lee is one of the only cool actors who was able to crossover into music. He also sung 'Treebeard's Song' with the Tolkien Ensemble. You really don't have peers for a knight who had Norwegian goth band Two Witches singing tributes to him, not realizing how prophetic they were with the line, "We need fairy tales. We need horror stories. We need to be like Christopher Lee." The only peer I can think of is possibly Björk. As far as I know, the only music she had done prior to the film The Juniper Tree was some Icelandic disco as a little girl. Unfortunately, I've heard some of it. She may or may not have been an actress before being a serious musician. She went on to do Spit and Snot, Tappi Tikkarrass, KUKL, the Sugarcubes and then her solo career. She was cool enough to tell Madonna she wasn't interested when Madonna wanted to work with her. When Björk acted in another movie: Dancer in the Dark, all my cool kid friends were obsessed with her performance. The soundtrack was an industrial sort of musical and remains totally unique. Not too many people get unfettered access to a country's national choir like she did with Iceland's on the Medulla album...and she was recently given her own island by Iceland.

I think that our respect for Christopher Lee, being as old as he is, might be contributing to how cool he is. He's like this really cool grandpa that we're terrified of but we also admire him. There's probably some psychology stuff I didn't study that could explain it. And there's something I really admire about the fact he went with the musical genre that suited his voice, rather than one he wanted to do, or pop or classical? Though for all I know, he could actually have wanted to do heavy metal. Whereas these other artists all went with popular genres like Bruce Willis tried something in the hip hop rap area, and Hasslehoff + Murphy were straight into the pop music because thats what all the kids are/were listening to. I will be getting myself a copy of charlemagne and hopefully his christmas album because sweet lord I need this in my collection. Also, not a reddit user myself but having a subreddit sounds like a logical means of opening up discussion, I'd say do it.

My only complaint about Christopher Lee's metal albums is there aren't more of them

a subreddit for the show sounds like a good idea. I think most people use reddit anyways and it's easily adaptable to whatever you want to use it for. Also does that mean that a Canadian politics episode is coming?

I noticed that you mentioned e-books, like the ones on the kindle, which leads me to state my opinions about them. 1.) I just (for some reason unknown to me) can't read a book off of a screen, tablet or whatever, without feeling intense amounts of drowsiness. This just baffles me because I can play video games on my desk top for over 5 hours without a single break. 2.) It just doesn't feel right to me to not be able to feel the paper in my hands, and physically flip the page myself. I do realize that e-books are a very environmentally friendly and green alternative to regular paper books, as well as being more easily accessible, but I digress. Yes, I do realize that I went off on a tangent about this... but hey, at the end of the day that's what I am good at and like to do. As a side note, there was an article published in a canadian newspaper, about two weeks ago, that explained that 10 000 hours of practice does not always make somebody a master of any skill. In fact, participants in the study have shown a maximum of 30% increase in performance. The researchers looked in many fields, e.g. playing a violon or playing chess. Also, as an example, chess players that obtained the "master" title had had about 641 to more than 60 000 hours of practice time. That said, continue to make great content!
