Warren is one of the best human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you sir. As long as I live, I will listening to Soulshine. I can’t hear it without getting goosebumps. I told you this 15 years ago when we met. It’s still true today. I was just a pup in his 20s, trying to figure out life, when I saw ABB and got to go back stage. He was the coolest guy there. Not just in the band, in the entire state of Michigan. Smoke one with us, gave us some guitar picks, took a couple of pictures, and was just a nice man. In a sea of older people, we were front and center all show and he seemed to really like that we were young and so interested. My buddy was a guitar player and they talked that for awhile. This video is awesome and a perfect reflection of this man.

The first time I saw Warren play we ended up smoking up at my campsite. He was about 20 and he was playing at a biker rally in David Allen Coe’s band. Years later I partied on the bus with he and Woody behind the Cabooze in Minneapolis with my touring buddies Grateful Jim, Mel and the late Big John. Fun was had by all.

Warren is an American gem. And that's all I have to say about that.
