i always found the faszination with married men so weird. personally, when a man is married, i'm immediatly uninterested. not even by choice, he's just suddenly not as attractive to me... maybe because he IS MARRIED

This premise came from a guy who was a writer on sex & the city. He heard other women writers talking about their dating problems, he told them “he’s just not that into you” they appreciated his advice, added it on an episode of the show. He wrote a book about it . Then it became a movie.

He’s still a jerk for marrying someone he didn’t want to...

By the way Billy, this film is pretty accurate. Women do read into things too much when they really like a guy.....but if guys were more honest and didn't keep orbiting women they don't have any interest in then life would be much easier for everyone. "Being kind" is more hurtful than brutal honesty in my opinion.

commenting from my husbands account:: I cannot tell you HOW MANY times I watched this movie as a way to get over a dude I knew wasn't good for me. That part where they say if he treats you like he doesn't care its because he genuinely doesn't care. I used this movie MANY times to knock sense back into myself. And then I met my husband while we were both walking our dogs. It was perfect because it wasn't forced, and he loves me better than I could have imagined. It does come true ladies, but you have to value yourself first.

Waiting by the phone is currently a thing of the past now with everyone having cell phones. Doesn't mean people aren't checking their texts every 5 min tho LOL

Every time I see this movie, I realize how important honest communication is lmao. If you're married and find yourself wanting to have sex or relationships/connections with other people...talk to your partner about it. It's not for me but polyamory is an option. 😂

I was with a married man in my early 20s, I was insecure, lonely...just everything was the worst but he was great to me, saying everything I wanted to hear, he was a friend then feelings got involved, I was played though, so naive it was ridiculous. I thought I could make him happy, "fix him" as all he did was complain about his wife, about his job, his life.. I hated myself for it and still do... his wife found out he was messaging another woman, I found out from a friend, and that he straight away moved in with said woman, and he started a new family. I know his ex wife is better off, she is happier now and I finally am in a healthy relationship...it took me 6-7 years after that married man to trust someone cause at the time I didnt believe it was meant for me. So for me it was my insecurity, and self-hate why I was attracted to taken men. I dodged a bullet with that low-life at least.

To answer your question, though completely illogical, a married man might seem more attractive because it seems to take the mystery out of whether or not he's a "keeper", can be trusted, or can commit. Even though if he's married and talking to someone else, that obviously negates all of that 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Well Billy, most girls are looking for someone who wants to commit. So seeing a married man is the highest form of commitment. While I would NEVER cheat with a married man or anyone in a relationship! I can admit married men are more attractive but also easier to befriend because I feel I can go back into my old role as 'one of the guys' with them without having to worry really.

Mhmmm I believe married men tend to be more attractive, generally, for two reasons: 1. They are already married so they are not going to want to get to marry you. As a consequence, you can just have fun with them and don’t get annoyed by them falling in love with you (even if it could still happen) and pressing you to be together. Because everybody knows, little to no man would ditch his already built family for a side chick. 2. Because if another woman already decided that this man is good enough to get married with, then, it is one of those good guys that you would want to wife you up. It’s like as if someone already tested and approved him, so you just want him because you have a (subtle) insurance that he is not such a piece of poop or someone toxic. (Pretty common reason) 3. For the challenge of breaking a man’s loyalty and have confirmation that you are better than the woman he is merried to, hence, you are better than anyone (another common one)

So the only guys who will be honest are the ones not interested, so girls chase after the uninterested guys and the circle is never ending lol
