for me it was also weird in the first season how Belly was like "yeah, I want you, Jere. Conrad isn't even in my mind/" (not a direct quote) and then on the day he found out his mother was dying she was like "I know your mother is dying but in other news, I'm switching teams. I want your brother now. Sucks to be you." This girl is so messy
That is not Conrad's sweatshirt. Also I don't think Belly owes him anything, she really gave him every opportunity this season, and he played hot and cold.
It was like the mom I had a meeting with that said her kid was acting out in class because “he’s too smart for you and your work isn’t challenging or engaging enough” I had to hit back with “okay but then why does he make straight Cs on anything I can’t help him on and he’s constantly talking about how he doesn’t get it and asks me for help a lot” Not to mention this was the second year I had him as a student because they moved me from 3rd grade to 4th with that class because how good I’d pulled up a bunch of the other strugglers, so it was a TWO YEAR LONG PATTERN
I mean the second season had to have been written in a day as it didn't make any sense to me. They built up some mystery that I expected would be revealed in flashbacks that they decided to never touch again and the conflict all season was such a joke that it was resolved in five minutes in the episode prior to the season finale. Then they decided to revert her character to build a stupid cliffhanger ending hoping that people would come back for the third season. I honestly thought the writing was good for Season 1, but it felt that no thought was put into Season 2 other than they needed to get it out as quickly as possible due to the upcoming writers strike.
@@cosas_de_gatos he’s 32, but it’s a running joke that he’s a cool hip 20 year old. he’s been ‘20’ for like years lol i mean what…. who told you that? never seen a guy more 20 years old! x)
maybe she thought that Jeremiah would okay, well not okay okay but he would handle himself and the situation way better than his brother. (just an hypothesis, i've never watched that show)
@@sarahcatania3374 Yes!!! But I was like ' just wait, just wait for him to finish his thought...' And I heard it correctly the second time he said it.
the crazy part about conrad walking in on jere and belly is that i’m pretty sure they were making out on conrad’s car and belly was wearing conrad’s sweater😭
This is literally what I don’t understand the fact that he walked away from the hotel after literally leaving HIS CAR makes no sense. I would’ve left them to walk like wtf. WHERE WAS JEREMIAHS CAR, I know he has one.
i think it’s crazy how streaming services marketed themselves as a much better version of tv, no ads, binge watch, everything you want in the same place but now they are all turning into normal tv w ads like it’s crazy
RIGHT!? Like that’s what i keep saying, omg Peacock and NBC are THE WORST! Can’t go like 10 minutes without a commercial! And it’s so much more money to get no ads, the day netflix has commercials is the day i unsubscribe
@@julianeff9443I mean, it already have its own commercials You want to look for a movie? Sure, just watch our top 10 Netflix movies that absolutely break down the internet, everyone is watching it!!
@@julianeff9443netflix did add an ads plan that is cheaper than the standard one, and with how they’ve been increasing prices of eveyrthing past few years, i wouldn’t be surprised if they made the no ads plan more expensive in the future.
@@lauvargas9327 oooooh bro i COMPLETELY forgot about all that! wasn't he like gone fishing or something? and Dylan's continues joke was that he'd come back in the background on a fishing boat, while the main girl is making out with sad boy on the beach? xD
i’m just so happy we got dylan reacting to the diss track. just from how he was roasting milo and steven during the first episode i knew he would like it
The line “look after conrad” is so messed up, the woman has two sons and what makes it worse is Jeremiah was the one taking care of her while she was sick the whole time 😭
I think because she knows how Conrad is like in season 1 he was super depressed over his mom having cancer and she knew once she died he was probably going to fall back into depression
That's what i think. Like even the brightest people it's still hard to lose a parent like that. It's not like Conrad's depression not important. But Jeremiah being there putting the brave face we don't know how broken he is inside.
@@deezing I'm mean I never watched the show because it isn't my type of romance show so I really don't know her character but yeaaa... From what I seen she kinda basic in every way so for someone Jumping back in forth between two these guys and their just taking it cause their obsessed with her... idk maybe I'm missing all the connection and bonding moments that make more sense. 🤷🏾♀️
And that's exactly how the second book starts... she's in a dream and reveals she's not with Conrad. She's not in cousins, and that Susannah was dead. But when you watch the show because they have made them so fleshed out and season one. You are truly sad because Susannah did make a lot of magic for the summers.
I’m so glad Dylan heard the Milo diss track because no reactions I’ve seen give it enough recognition. I was ROLLING at him talking about the crowd surf😂😂😂 That was so embarrassing!!! “Falling and kicking your fam in the face” that’s hilarious
24:54 the lighting is a callback to a quote from earlier in the show. Belly’s mom said “for belly Conrad is the sun and when the sun comes out the stars disappear” pretty much saying that anytime Conrad shows any interest Jeremiah disappears from her mind. It’s messed up 😅
@@franklin13_17u not making any sense literally everyone can see jer is golden while cornbread is moonlight look at their scenes it didn’t make sense too have that symbolism at all 😩🤷🏽♀️
I feel like the symbolism in this show is left ambiguous for a reason so that people can interpret it differently. like when jere and belly had their kiss outside in ep 8, you can interpret Jere as being the sun for her and when conrad, belly and jere were in the car earlier in the episode and it was raining, that showed how conrad is the more gloomier one.
I screamed when I saw the notification for this 😭😭 I was waiting for Dylan to do season 2 because the drama is sooo messy. I kinda wish he'd watch the full show cuz i know his reaction to the funeral and the house party arc wouldve been GOLD
@@hittantminkanaltack5582which was such an unnecessary storyline lmao, should’ve just not put cam in the second season he ain’t deserve it 💔💔 (not transphobic btw, don’t cancel me💯)
absolutely cackling at dylan saying it was “that time of the month” for belly, meaning the time when the book of the month arrived. great segue and way to subvert expectations lol I love it
24:54 I never noticed this, but Belly faces up between the boys to show her indecisiveness but you can see her shadow facing Jeremiah, I think that was cool foreshadowing of her pick
It could also be read differently though. As in belly and Conrad are in the light and Jeremiah is in the dark, indicating the endgame (canonically belly and conrad)
I noticed that too but I think the shadow is foreshadowing to the fact that she chose Jeremiah in that episode but if u also noticed that belly and Conrads lighting is both orange. To me that seem like they're the endgame couple. They are endgame in the books so it makes sense
I love first and last, but for this one I just know that he would've loved the whole season, the stuff with cam and the cousin. The middle episodes had all of the funny bits lol
2:32 "i know that we should not judge a book by it's cover, but as i get older i got better at judging books by it's cover". Finally someone said it😌💁🏻♀️
i just wanted to voice how much i appreciate dylan. i just found out my grandmas cancer is getting really bad and she only has a couple of weeks left so i will have to miss sats, rehearsals, and choir events to go see her for the last time this week, and i came to my room and immediately started watching dylan. he never fails to make me smile and laugh even when ive just found out some of the worst news. thank you dylan for being such a big light in so many peoples lives without even knowing them personally.
i cant help it, im a sucker for tsitp and i LOVEEE your content! ive been waiting for this vid for sooo long im so glad u finally made itt im manifesting that 1day ull watch the whole show
I was at the same scene as well. She clearly said that his calls started the first week of September and then cuts to a flashback. Halloween is after that and I thought it was pretty clear, too, that this was another flashback. I did, however, read the books and knew what was coming 😂
@@serenavalle5002 that's true. I think the show actually handled the flashbacks better but I knew that they were coming and about where in time they were :)
@@hej.anneli yeah. obviously it is an advantage to read the books first but i do think for the most part they did the flashbacks really well especially compared to the books
okay dylan mishearing one of my favorite belly-conrad moments to "you're good for me" is wildddd. "you're good for me" is such an ick but he said "you're IT for me"
“It” is marginally better in that it can be good depending on the context where “good” is just always the cringiest of red flags. But “you’re it for me” is very context dependent lmao
If I was younger I would’ve loved Conrad , but now older me is team Jeremiah . That hot and cold , give and take energy Conrad stay on would drive me insane
See I think the opposite. If I was younger, I would choose Jeremiah. He’s super immature, doesn’t take much seriously, throws hissy fits, doesn’t have ambition, etc. Conrad can be a bit cold at times but I feel like there’s almost always been a reason. He tries to put his feelings aside for Belly and Jeremiah’s sake, but he’s also allowed to feel them. He pushes ppl away bc he doesn’t want others to see how hurt he is, which I kinda understand idk
when i was younger i probably would have liked conrad but now that i’m older id choose neither. conrad can’t communicate his feelings and is passive aggressive a lot and that’s exhausting especially having been in relationships with men who can’t communicate. jeremiah is sweet and he cares about her but he’s immature and he ends up cheating on her anyway (even though i think that was so out of character in the books but that’s another rant anyway). they both aren’t characters id want to be in a relationship with lol team cam cameron
@@ariana4604i can empathize with conrad and i can see your point but being in a relationship with someone who can’t communicate effectively and just counts on you to read their mind and try and fix them is exhausting speaking from experience. not that jeremiah is much better but at the bare minimum jere can communicate how he feels it’s not always in the best way but he does. which i guess is how i view things.
got stuck in heavy traffic on my way home from uni and i see this. i might cry of happiness. today has been SO rough and i get home to my comfort youtuber posting omg
