Because this finale literally flips everything on its head. All of the sudden for a little Joe isnt the worst person in the show and hes being dragged along
“Where is my sister Will??!” Dylan: “Who’s her sister?? Oh her sister is Candace!!!” "Where is DELILAH????!" Dylan: "She's in a Prius!" Delilah: *Dead in a box*
Dylan literally predicted YOU season 3. "I would watch this show if it was about to past murderers trying to raise a child"-Dylan you literally just predicted the plot of YOU season 3! 😳
The thing is joe was obsessed with love first..stalking her and everything. Oh no but when she got obsessed with him “he can’t fathom” lol so ironic and hypocritical.
Also ending explained: he is going back to stalking a random girl because all joe searches for is someone who is good so that he knows if they love him then he can convince himself that he is also good, since a good person loves him. So when he found out love was also batshit crazy he didn’t want her anymore. It really works nicely
I've seen a few theories on who the neighbor could be that might switch up the formula of the show, so I'm hoping that is the case. But if not, I still love this show aha
Joe is incapable of loving anyone other than himself. thats his hell. trying to find love while simultaneously being incapable of it. he loves the idea of love. not the person themselves.
Makes sense considering how fast he falls in "love" after the breakup meaning he didn't have any actual connection with the person and how he seemingly almost has no standards or a type.
exactly. the girl he's looking for doesn't exist. people say he's capable of empathy like with paco and the girl (forgot her name), but i think he's just helping them to make himself feel better about all the horrible things he's done.
@@wideetreee3896 I think he is projecting himself on this kids rather than having a lot of empathy. He sees himself in them because their childhood is difficult like his was (violence, absent father figure, etc.). I think he is trying to heal the wounded child in him by helping them
Elise aw i think Candace’s hookup was the only one that he killed that i didnt think deserved it. if you watch it again, he was super apologetic and he didnt even know she had a boyfriend
Fun fact: The creators said they named the show You so that if someone ask what you're watching you can say "I'm watching You." It's a little reference to Joe seeing he's the stalker and that's why every season is basically him being obsessed with girls and stalking them Update: I now know that the name is based on a book. This book has never been published in my language and is really hard to find here so I didn't know it was a book. This was just a theory I heard come by a LOT of times. My apologies for the confusion
Love and Forty are twins and their names are tennis references and also plays into how they were each treated by their parents. Love means 0 in tennis and she is neglected and blamed for Forty’s downfalls and Forty is babied as that’s a great score in tennis
when you realise that the siblings are called 'love' and 'forty' like tennis points. forty is of higher value compared to love in the parents' eyes, especially the mum, so love is always at a disadvantage, hence, love forty. the ball is in your court. so deep but the show is still messed loool
it’s not really called love in tennis? is it? (always watch Roger) edit: omg i just looked it up and it’s actually « love » when you got 0 points. i always thought it stands for another word that i just don’t understand (i m a none native speaker, so could very well be)
... and it’s at this moment I realized there was an actual point behind the names of those characters. 🤦♀️😝 I watched the whole show just thinking their parents were weird and just wanted to name them weird things!
I love that they keep on with the same plot line, it’s similar to how a serial killer would behave. Never being satisfied with what they have and repeating their same patterns. That’s what Joe is after all
@@amityislandchum bc i think a lot of people would not watch the show if they believe it shows a woman being in a couple with a kid like something that it's ok. Idk I didn't post it for him to read, I don't think he's going to see this and if he does I don't think he would mind or think it's a big spoiler. He spoiled the entire show to himself already ✨
I feel like season 3 is going to be so good. Like joe is “interested” in a new girl while also living with his crazy murderous girlfriend. How interesting hehe
Many people think that's his mother, not a new girl, but I agree, that'd be really cool because he's obsessed with this new girl and has to stop Love from finding out so she doesn't murder her...
@@adamjenkins1178 Penn stated that they probably won't use the girl they cast in the scene, and are yet to cast the actress. Also, in another interview that people like Joe are never satisfied, leading to believe that no, it is not his mother. In what basis do you believe that? Is quite the spineless theory.
It isn't a "movie suggestion" I.e what he should watch next but rather it is A suggestion of what he should do in his channel.. if that makes sense, it was not a recommendation of what he should watch hence why it is acceptable.. you know what I mean?? Or I'm just the one who didn't get your comment lol
@@fflarexx9061 he never accepted suggestions on this channel, whether it was what to watch or what to do, also my comment was supposed to be ironic, don't take everything so seriously man
@@stellamoro1689 yeah I figured your comment isn't serious from the get go, I just felt like saying what I said up there hence why I said it, I know what I said comes off as if it is so my bad, i just didn't feel like thinking it over and typing it in a way that indicated that I know you weren't serious
The part where love killed the girl when she was a kid was actually their babysitter who was taking advantage of forty. She was preying on him and love killed her, then blamed it on him. Then their parents covered it up.
Stephanie Ramirez isn’t it two of each or did I forget someone Beck and dellliah and then will and what’s his face from season 1 and then jo/will this season and when he was younger
@@jayceewood3176 The guy in jail was Beck's (joes ex-girlfriend) therapist. she was cheating on joe with him. joe pretended to be "Paul" and met the therapist as a patient. and he eventually framed him for the murder of beck and her friends.. that's why he's in prison.
The context is their parents are tennis fanatics, and they're named after tennis scores. 40, referring to 3 points Love, referring to zero points. Also, if they're tied at 40, it's called a deuce, and whoever scores two points in a row wins.
The point of the show is showing that even if joe finds love and somebody who loves and accepts him for literally who he is it’s not enough and he still needs to stalk and be obsessed with someone he doesn’t know
True, but doing it AGAIN for a 3rd season is just going to be super fucking boring. I finish 2x8 and was literally so bored with the show I gave up. I only finished it coz I had nothing better to watch. And making Love a killer was an interesting twist but to go right back to the plot for season 1 and 2 for a 3rd season is just bad writing and shows that beyond that format they don't seem to have many ideas. 2 killers raising a baby to NOT be a killer is far more interesting.
Technically, Joe still hasn't found his soulmate. The first girl Candice, was smart enough to try to follow Joe after he almost killed her. But she got killed. The second girl, Beck wasn't even questionable until she found shit Joe was hiding. Tried to outsmart him and died. The third girl, Love, was actually the only women we know who was on his level or more of crazy. None of them is he in love with, so meeting a knew woman doesn't mean it will be the same experience. He's still looking.
@@OmfgHiii Of course it is, the whole premise of the show is that... I never said it wasn't. I just pointed out that technically each relationship ends ups being a bit different because of the way the woman reacts and how he changes little by little as a character. When exactly did I say they aren't all the same guy gets obsessed with girl, and shit happens premise? If you thought that, I apologize. But, I tried to make it clear that the women are different each time. Not Joe LOL. But, again, he could either slowly be changing OR he could be going in a cycle no matter what he tries to do to stop it. But, for THIS chick, she understood herself because she's fucking crazy LOL. And not the normal crazy. Slashin' niggas throats crazy 😂😂.
Joe is incapable of loving anyone other than himself. thats his hell. trying to find love while simultaneously being incapable of it. he loves the idea of love. not the person themselves.
2:55 I think you misunderstood the situation here. Love kills that girl bc she was about to assault her brother. He didn't want it, he literally said "no" before. The girl literally shoved that pipe in his mouth bc she wanted to drug him. It's not a consensual situation
Love stood in front of the truck with Candace phone in her hand. I thought that was obvious that Candace is the girl in the truck. Dylan apparently didn't 😁
“You don’t put people in boxes unless you’re a magician and you’re planning on sawing them in half and miraculously putting them back together.” Solid point Dylan
we don't know if she has killed more people thoo... also is it just me but Forty wrote a book called "the third twin" and that was never addressed, I feel like there was so much story behind that
The issue that joe and love had was that joe wants too “protect” love however because she kills people and can take care of herself he sees her as crazy for doing what he did
I see it more as Joe wants to control her. He adores all of them until they aren't what he thought they were. Joe can't stand her because she's just like him. She can't be controlled. And unlike Joe, Love has a more "noble" reason to kill. The majority of her kills come from wanting to preserve and protect her family. Joe kills to control the lives of the people he obsesses over.
But the thing is she can't really protect herself when he's around. Shows in s3. Anytime she messes up, he has to fix it. That's what I didn't like about Love. She was impulsive and continues messing up, putting both of them in difficult situations. She also has the habit of gaslighting him when she's also in the wrong. The whole thing is just so messy, I hate both of them😭😂
@@iludhuka1211 she was too impulsive and I wasn't able to enjoy her character because of that and it cost both of them in s3 finale. When she killed the neighbour, I was so angry because they both promised to do better for their kid but she just keeps messing up😂
I like this. Joe's whole pattern is to idolize his obsessions so as soon as he realizes they're not perfect or grateful for him, or in love with him, he goes off the rails. I think it'll be interesting because Love will probably notice his wandering eye and do some bad things because of it.
@@aylat.961 he met his "match". "Love - Forty" is a score in tennis. In tennis, when the whole game is over it is called a "match" see what you did there? come on people lol
"Wait, wait, wait. So the girl he's interested in and the girl whose interested in him both found his secret box? You gotta be more careful my crazy dude." Crying 😂
dylan: watches any show or movie with a love story and says a death would make it more interesting also dylan: watches a show filled with death and a love story but is shocked every time someone dies and something crazy shows up
"I'mma take a stab in the dark here... which is probably what she did." I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did! I love this video concept, so fun watching Dylan figure out what's going on!
Dlyan: oh your sister's Candace OOH Ellie: Where is delilah? Dylan, still thinking its Candace: she's in a prius! (Also forty and love are tennis terms)
Dylan with every PG reaction: this needs murder Dylan finally reacting to something with murder: *gets shook or queasy at the dead bodies and murder scenes*
He was iffy about tasting the muffin because he had 'poisoned' Benji with his peanut allergy within the first few episodes of season one. I just realized that- 😳
Also because she had previously given him the overly salted pastry when she was mad I think! Not the same as poison but def a hint that she’s willing to use tainted food to get what she wants.
That's why the ending is so fitting. Because in the first season he insisted that IF ONLY Beck would care as much as he did she would understand. He justifies his obessiveness but with Love she is exactly what he asked for. She's just as obsessed as he is and justifies her behaviors as being in his benefit. So even when he gets what he wants, a woman who would kill for him, bear his child, sacrifice everything for him - he still fucks it up by obsessing over the neighbor. He's the problem. It's just proof that he's full of shit and he's most likely going to get exactly what he deserves
You need to watch this it’s so funny seeing things through the mind of a hopeless-romantic who is incapable of love, hypocritical, with a touch of dark humor. I love it bc it’s like a cat chasing it own tail😂😂
